Hotel is run down. Rust and mould in the bathroom. Beds are cheap and ancient with blankets rather than duvets. Rooms are very basic. The area is pretty noisy and dirty looking.

4 minute walk to the beach! Safe neighborhood, lots of dining options and shopping. Nonsmoking room smelt a little like cigarettes but wasn’t a deal breaker.

El Faro is good value in an excellent location close to the beachfront and main tourist areas including restaurants and other popular areas such as the Old Town. It is just a shame that the management of the hotel don’t see that a few small changes to the way they do things would make this hotel amazing, such as; ensure the lights in the hall ways remain on; supply washing up liquid and washing up cloth in the rooms with kitchenettes; play better music in the lobby and play it all the time; improve breakfast - set the tables; offer better array of food and don’t leave food sitting there for so long; get the marks off the walls; play great music at night when you want people to enjoy the bar… I think El Faro could be a super hotel if only the owner’s tried a little harder to make guests feel valued and changed a few things that say “we care”…

Great location 2 minute walk to the promenade 5 mins to the marina Stayed bed breakfast in a superior room … a little cramped with 3 of us but plenty of room for 2 people the extra bed is a put up bed not the best Breakfast is very basic and of not great quality had to keep asking for fresh items fried eggs etc

Stay was ok. Clean Pool was very disappointing very little sun around pool and is gone by 4.30 each day Wud have liked a better array of food Otherwise good location

Overall ok but mixed bag
Staff were nice and friendly. Perfect location , a stone’s throw from the beach and restaurants as well as from the medina. On a down side - no hotel car park available , need to use expensive public one. Strange noise in our room they could not fix so they moved us to another room after first night. In the second room toilet water tank stopped working. Wifi was ok . Did nit use the pool .Kitchen area needs more cleaning but overall ok for 3 nights and location beats it.

See you next time (again)
We stayed for 2 nights this time but always choose this hotel. Others may seem a bit more modern but this one had never let us down. It has everything we need to cook ourselves breakfast or lunch, is clean and in a perfect location for the Puerto Deportivo. Remember to take your washing up liquid and a sponge, saying that if you forget there's plenty of shops nearby! The only down side is the underground parking which is only suitable for small cars and even then is very tight.

No isolation in the rooms at all. You would hear everything next to you and on the street. The cleaner forgot stuff in my room. The oversheet had mold on it. The breakfast was bad

Équipe très aimable. Cadeau de bienvenue apprécié. Chambre confortable, très spacieuse, bien équipée, grande terrasse… vraiment impeccable! Garage. Bien localisé, près de la plage et près du centre. Petit-déjeuner DÉLICIEUX (pain au chocolat excellent). On recommande vivement l’hôtel El Faro Marbella !!!

Hotellets beliggenhet er fantastisk. Gåavstand til strandpromenaden og gamlebyen. Masse fine restauranter og kafeer i nærområdet. Helt ok standard på hotellet. Veldig lytt riktig nok. Så man hører både prat og dører som går igjen fra gangen inne på rommene. Hyggelig personale
