The hotel is very close to the train station but, that brings a lot of noise with it. Standard for Europe is to have only room heat till May so there was no AC to cool the room on hot days, just had to open the windows which increases the noise level. Overall the hotel was fine, breakfast was good, staff friendly and always helpful.

Worse experience than expected
The bed was warn out and at a terrible condition. I completely sunk in it and there was a big lump on it that made it hard to sleep. The tissue box that is glued to the wall in the bathroom disconnected during the night and dropped all of our items including tooth brushes on the floor next to the toilet. I wrote to the hotel a week ago but did not get any response.

Nice Hotel in a good area
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The entire place was clean, and the staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location was perfect – situated in a good area that allowed easy access to various attractions and amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city, and the hotel's convenient location made it even better. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The combination of a clean and comfortable stay with such welcoming staff made my trip truly memorable.

Literally just a few steps from the train station, this was a great and convenient location. I needed to catch a flight the next morning and the Rhonexpress to the airport was right across the street. Friendly staff, comfy bed and room, and great breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

Overall disappointing.
Positives and negatives here, but overall disappointing. Firstly, the hotel is very conveniently located for the station, with a 24 hour front desk for checking in or leaving for early/late trains. Despite having a room on the first floor facing the station platforms, the secondary glazing meant we couldn't hear any of the city noise. The staff on reception were also friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included but didn't have any, although the staff did let me grab an orange juice just after the breakfast was finished, which was nice. However, the real let down was the condition and cleanliness of the room. The bed sheets seemed clean, but the floors, especially in the corners were dirty and the bathroom was in a similar state. There were very dirty areas of the shower and dirty marks all over the wall. Some of the woodwork round the bathroom door looked to be going mouldy. My girlfriend found hair on the desk and in the hand towels. Overall, the rom was in need of a major refresh and deep clean. The place was also incredibly dry and stuffy, despite turning the temperature settings down and increasing the ventilation, leading to a pretty uncomfortable night's sleep. In summary, the staff are nice, location convenient and the hotel well soundproofed from the busy outside. However, the cleanliness and condition of the room was a real let down, and for those reasons we would choose to stay somewhere else next time.

Ideal location as it is right next to the train station. I was worried that it would be noisy next to the railway tracks but the property’s sound-proof system was excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very well located for transport as at the end of tram link to airport, metro, other trams, buses and main train station. Also, very near to (Westfield) Part Dieu shopping centre. Good idea to take a flask to take hot water up to the room for tea, bring a few long life milks too. Shower very good, although horrible clicking sound on door. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful, however some of the breakfast staff a little grumpy. Very quiet rooms. But main issue is the room was too warm and no way to reduce it. No air con, or had been switched over to winter heating... and it was 25c one day (which is odd for October). The mattress was overly warm too - soft - but added to the heat - so sleeping was intermittent. Some road works at the moment in the area- but none that had a material effect. Finally, whilst good transport location, not so much for nice local restaurants - so best to make use of the transport and in 15-20 mins you can be somewhere with more choices and atmosphere.

On our last night in Lyon, we checked into the Ibis Styles to catch a 5:50 am TGV from Lyon Part Dieu train station to Paris CDG the next day it was a 2 minute walk to the train station, and hence extremely convenient. The room itself was clean, with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. There are a couple of restaurants next to the hotel for a quick bite. We couldn't try the included breakfast as we checked out earlier than 6 am. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Recommend for easy access to train station.

Great no frills hotel for no fuss
This is a great location for those zipping in and out of Lyon. The rooms are pretty basic but clean and the bed was super comfortable (2 of my main criteria). It's well connected transport wise for getting around Lyon and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely use this hotel again.
