We select the two bedrooms suite . And we had just one bedroom 1 bathroom. Not very clean air conditioning not working, kitchen not for using. Don’t like .

Breakfast is always at 7-10 in Italy, so when you get up at 6, it's a pain to wait until 8:30. I've always had a kettle in my room but this one had no kettle/tea/coffee etc. Bed was terrible- two single beds put together is not a double bed. Nice people though. Also didn't like it being next to a gun store. That creeped me right out!

Very friendly manager and extremely helpful. The hotel is so close to the center and yet so quiet at night. Breakfast was good enough for me and I eat a lot! Lots of extras like access to beer, wine and water (if you are so inclined). For the energetic there is even bike hire. I whole heartedly recommend Ai Cipressi without hesitation.

Excellent clean friendly B&B close to the old city
Good clean friendly B&B super close to the old town. We stayed for 2 nights in this B&B. This B&B has a wonderful breakfast to feed visitors of Via Francigena pilgrims for the days ahead, including cheese, meats, eggs and bread as well as cereals, yoghurt, fruit and juice bread? Also they have 100% butter crescents for a decant treat. They offer bicycle hire in Lucca and excellent advise and information on the sights in Lucca. That are very accommodating with luggage storage and assistance. The B&B is right alongside the Via Francigena, for those walking and close to Porta Elisa and the old city for those visiting. It is easy walking distance from the train station, following the outside of the wall. There is a super market close by (maybe 750m) and local bars and pizza restaurants and a gelato shop close and pastry shop next door.

Mixed feeling about this B&B
It’s very far from train station and old town center. It’s my fault that I didn’t pay attention that the reception is only open between 3:30pm and 6:30pm. Luckily, we found a cafe bakery next door to enjoy/cool the temperature. The manager is very nice and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. However, the bed cover looks it’s not been washed for a while. That with desk cover were not very clean for sure. There’s a little dead bug under the comforter and bed sheet. Some dried up saliva on one of the pillow cover. The shower curtain was filthy. The shower gel was a very bad quality. Fortunately, I brought my own soap. On the other hand, the breakfast room was bright and shining! It was opulent and refreshing. All the typical good breakfast you would expect were there. There weren’t Hot Dogs or scrambled eggs which we’re totally ok by me. The lady was very friendly and kind. She was constantly preparing the new food and serve on the table. Also, there was bike for rent with 7€ a day. We only got to use it for the late after till the Puccini’s Concert was over. We were able to bike around the town wall for a good sightseeing and exercising. Until they improved the cleaness, I’m afraid that I can’t recommend this lodging.

Lovely friendly B&B close to Lucca
Friendly small B&B in a great location. Room was really clean. We hired bikes and cycled into Lucca and around the walls. Breakfast was fine with fresh fruit and fresh bread etc. Lovely staff.
