We thoroughly enjoyed our week in a deluxe room which was very big by London standards. The location is great and an easy tube ride from Heathrow. The room was quiet with plenty of natural light. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower pressure and hot water was terrific. The breakfast had ample choices and excellent value. The dining room was very cozy with great service every morning. One night was too cold to go out so we had the dining room to ourselves for a lovely dinner. Any small housekeeping request such as extra soap. tea bags etc. was handled promptly. All staff were courteous. We felt at home and will be our choice for our next visit.

Not recommended.
Not sure if there is something positive about this hotel. - They "paid themselves" 2 days before check-in, even though during booking, it was saying "pay at check-in". - Rude staff. - Bad daily "cleaning", ommiting to replace consumables(toilet paper, shampoo, etc). - Clogged sink. - Too expensive for the quality it offers. Definitely it doesn't deserve the 4****.

Wonderfully kind staff and my room was very clean and surprisingly spacious for UK standards with lovely high ceilings. Convenient neighborhood with several nearby train/tube stations and away from the more intense tourist bustle. Will be visiting again.

Had a most excellent stay at The Rockwell. It felt like going home to my own apartment each day. I actually loved the smallness of my room because it felt very cosy. The room came with everything I needed and more. My window was facing Cromwell Road but I could barely hear any street noise thanks to the noise insulation. The cleaning staff are so nice and do an excellent job. The front desk staff are efficient and accommodating. I had forgotten to bring toothpaste and they were able to provide me some! Besides the property itself, I absolutely love the location. Kensington is far more peaceful than the main tourist areas of SOHO/Westminster. The Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum are just 15-20 minutes up the road. The hotel is also near Sainbury's and many little Asian mini-marts so you'll never go hungry. Transportation options are great. It's a short walk from Earl's Court station which is on the Piccadilly line so you can conveniently travel east to the airport or west for tourist activities.

A very easy 3 minute walk to Earl's Court tube station. The staff were awesome and able to give great recommendations as well as advice. It may not be the fanciest hotel, but i get my hotels based on location, cleanliness, and reviews. The Rockwell ticks all the boxes of a great hotel in my book. Im definitely staying there on my next trip to London.

Nice but needs some improvements.
This is a nice hotel that has, in my opinion, a few things to work on to make it better. The location and cleanliness were very good. The staff was helpful. The room itself is a mix. We were in a lower level room in the basement. On the upside it was quiet because no one else was down there. And it was quite large. Otherwise it was disappointing. The shower door didn’t close. The towels were thin and frayed. The view was of a basement stairwell. There was no lighting for applying makeup so you are doing it in a shadow. When I ran out of toilet paper there was no spare roll in the room. But a real issue for me is the restaurant. I only choose hotels with restaurants so I can get food when needed. The kitchen is closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday- two of the days I stayed there. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30am. That is a bit late if I need to be at the office by 8:00. All in all I think there are a few things that can make this little boutique hotel a little bit more elevated. And quite possibly the rooms upstairs were lovely based on other reviews but I didn’t get to see those.

Very pleasant staff to speak to! Was willing to just drop my bags off because I got in early, but they had my room ready and so I was able to check in! Had a free upgrade to a double room as well!

Quiet in London
Close proximity to Earl's Court tube a big plus. Walking distance to V&A etc. Wonderfully QUIET, sound insulation of my room was EXCELLENT, a big deal when unwinding and get shut-eye.

My London visit
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Also I felt it was very safe and secure. The only problem was the room itself. I have never stayed in such a small hotel room. The bed was so small I fell off it onto the floor. The shower looked like a modular piece and you need to step into it. I hurt my toe once going into it. You need to be very careful getting out I had to grab the sink to balance myself. The walls are a bit thin and heard some noise from outside the room. At these prices I expected some luxury. Maybe this is a Euro thing but I stayed in Manhattan many times and the rooms were nicer.

I was quite surprise with my stay. The room was very comfortable and quiet. My room was on the 4th floor, and despite not having a regular/traditional window, it did not bother me at all due to the skylight in the room and the washroom. So it is pretty bright and I did not even realize I did not have windows until in the evening. The staff was nice and supported me when I needed help. I opt out of the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. I am happy with my stay and would definitely come back if in London again.

Very small room. The bathroom had recently had a revamp and well equipped but very tight on space. I am only 5’11” and the bed was a real struggle, very narrow and more suitable for children. No coffee and tea making facilities was a problem. Good price but way too tight on space and not a place to relax, simply a ‘crash pad’ in my view. I would not revisit.

Terrible towels and tiny bathroom
Our room included 1 old purple towel, no hand towels, no washcloths. When we asked for more we were given 1 nice white shower towel and 1 handtowel. Why stingy with towels and why mismatched? Shower was tiny. Seriously if you are average or large it will not be comfortable. Room was nondescript but good location and clean
