Although it was a last minute booking, I was waiting in the rain for over an hour for someone to check me in. The confirmation email stated to go to a building down the road to pick up keys, but then I was sent back to the property and asked to call the number on the door. Could smell cigarettes, and overall was very noisy. Relatively clean room and bathroom, location was decent, but wouldn’t stay again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Hotel is dirty, stains in the room, very difficult to check-in, room is claustrophobic, room was next to the main road so got minimal sleep. PLEASE read other reviews. Cannot stress how bad this 'hotel' is.

Paid for breakfast and there was none , room was small and stained ceilings and funiture and noisy upstairs , we left the second night and didnt stay!! Front door left open always on main rd , anyone could come in and out.

Dangerous!!! The fire alarm was triggered by someone doing drugs. Our emergency exit was blocked by two bikes blocking our door. Our room was in the basement with stairs that where extremely difficult to use. There was no breakfast included as mentioned on the price.... Disappointing and very unsafe

We got to the hotel after work don't book from the pictures as we did. Looked for some where cheap to stay don't do it. Went to the address only to call the number on the door to find out we had to go to the sister hotel on the same street. On entering the hotel the smell the front desk had trouble speaking English not to judge the homeless guy Mr Fix It living in the front garden. We got a basement room which was dirty damp but the smell drains was making my body itch. The only thing was to go out to the bar and sink a couple of beers. DO NOT BOOK.

It was not good ! We had to walk between the three hotels just to get to our room . Then to find in the morning there was no breakfast provided even though that’s why we chose the hotel ! So we could have breakfast as a family in the morning. As it was ment to be included in the stay

HORRIFIC ! THE TERROR HOTEL!
I booked this hotel for the 9th – 13th of May to stay with my husband and 3 children. (ages 1,4,6). At first I thought we had found a bargain but after driving for 8 hours straight from Scotland, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we realised what SCAM that ‘bargain’ was. The man at the reception told us that the ‘continental breakfast’ advertised on their website was ‘a lie’, but that did not bother us as much as the actual room!!! Upon entering the room, there was a foul smell of urine and faeces. The mattress that the baby was supposed to be sleeping on was completely covered in urine and the stunk was unbearable. No one had even bothered to change sheets -OR EVEN THE WHOLE MATTRESS!!! The room was dirty and there was mould everywhere. As a result, we took the 3 kids and left, trying to find a new hotel at 3AM. The reception wasn’t even bothered at all. If we actually stayed for even a night there, we would have gotten all sorts of diseases. That is disgusting behaviour ESPECIALLY UNDER THE COVID-19 circumstances and I cannot actually believe hotels.com would even ADVERTISE such dangerous and unhygienic hotel on your website. Their contact numbers are not even working (none three of them) and their website is suspended. Couldn’t you just check if this was an actual hotel?

Checking in was fairly easy a bit confusing as, there are 2 buildings to this hotel. I collected my keys from the building about 2 minutes walk from where my room was. I was disappointed that there was no toilet paper in the room and I met hair in the shower as well as candle wax stains near the door. There’s no breakfast which was one of the reasons why I booked and staff didn’t answer phones. The guest next to my room played very loud music.

bizaar, disappointing, and frankly Horrible night.
Very Strong mould/Mildew smell throughout especially in the room, As if had a flood or something. Shower gel in several places on wall of shower from last guests so not sure how Covid clean room was so I had to disinfect everything before could relax. Chair was not attached to base so flipped over several times. Table Fan in room was On when arrived so presume was attempting to reduce smell. Decoré was attractive but not practical as mesh lamp shade cast eerie light pattern on walls and fan made it spin so had flickering lights and images spinning around whole room. Side light flickered so was unusable. All of it set off my daughters ocd and epilepsy. Was told in email to go to different address to check in for our hotel. After extra walking to do so was told not necessary and to just go over to Hotel anyway by someone who said they don’t normally do check ins but ‘I think it’ll be fine!’ Then being practically tossed my key card and dismissed in about two seconds, when I decided to try and get room swapped in case better , I couldn’t find a soul in the place and as I needed to attend to my daughter I gave up and we just struggled through. Couldn’t remember what he had said about check out since he mumbled two words to me dismissively the night before so as again no one in sight I just had to push the card under office door and hope for the best!

I was disappointed with lack of service provided No parking direction No sanitizer at all in place, the bathroom and toilet was poor full of hair. Fire exit in corridors blocked with old furniture On website offering free breakfast but the reality is no breakfast are provided.

This place GRN Comfotel Hotel is better than sleeping outside,but not much better. I wont go into details. Onlyi reserved a room with breakfast,but breakfast isnt being served due to covit 19 said the sign at reception. But they are still selling the package breakfast Included. One think i hate is lies even during a pandemic they still have the audacity to rip people off. Shame on them, SHAME.

Shockingly bad!!
Unacceptable stay. The room was discusting and dusty. I have a extreme dust allegy which made my breathing very difficult. I had to sleep with the window wide open all night. In addition, i found fake eyelashes and hairs in the bed. In the shower, there was used soap on the shelf. i do not recommend.

Beware of double charge and poor experience
has been long but long story short. Pros. 1. ONE friendly staff 2. Reasonable lodging price Cons. 1. They will charge you in advance even though they are supposed to charge the reservation fee on your check-in day. 2. They double charge your credit card if you submit a dispute via your bank for an early charge as explained above. (still going on for 4 months) 3. The door does not shut properly, you will have to close very hard or your room will be vulnerable to outsiders. 4. It gets very cold during the night and you will rely on a portable heater which will make you dry every morning. 5. Does not reply well via WhatsApp. Asked for a small favor, read it, but no answer (until now) Overall it's a one to two star rating

Doorbell didn't work so I was stood outside waiting to be let in for a while. Hotel is small, room was tiny with dirt on the walls. Thankfully the bathroom and sheets were clean enough, and I was only staying a night. Had I been on a longer trip I would have rebooked. It's also very noisy, you can hear everything in the hotel. WiFi worked fine.

I would not recommend this hotel. Bad condition, service and unacceptable rooms. Room was not so clean, bathroom gets flooded. So little water run on the faucet, it can take you forever to wash soap off your hands. We booked for 4 nights but stayed for one only. If we wanted to ask a question or request something, the office is close most of the time. Nobody is available to inquire. No phones in room. We where given a room in the attic, even if we requested a ground or second floor room. The room was so hot and suffocating. We even booked for a free breakfast, but they posted a note at the office door that breakfast was being served in another address. We met a couple hotel guest also and they told us they have been looking for that address for 30mins and still cannot find it. We saw a few guest leave that day as well. I would suggest to hotel.com and other booking sites to ban this hotel from their sites.
