Terrible Hotel,
Worst Hotel i have stayed in, Room was tiny, Small Squeaky Bed, Dark wardrobe and Chest of drawers, 2 chairs , room needed a paint job, lots of cobwebs,Bathroom was tiny, smallest Shower i have ever seen,Room was on Ground level, no view, out side table and chair were rusted, Room was right beside a noisy boiler room, Terrible soundproofing woke up a few times during the night from other guests returning to their room, and terrible karaoke until 12oc. Did ask to reception to move room and was refused , Breakfast was lovely, No Air-con . Switched off in August. No iron and ironing for guests to use, No Wifi in room, There are a lot of nicer hotel in Lake Garda for the same price. Lake Garda is a lovely place to visit,

A pity that the air conditioning was turned off the day we arrived. Breakfast facilities more than adequate in spite of others complaints. For a 3 star place we were delighted. …… and the staff were a delight.. Also handy was the tourist office just down the road.. the staff could not have been more helpful. Thank you.

Supply and demand, but not worth the money
Hotel Palme was the only place with rooms available in Garda proper during our trip so we tried it. It was decent, but I wouldn't necessarily stay here again. The bidet was cracked, no wifi, loud dripping sound above us during the night, cracked windows in the stairwells, no shampoo. Breakfast was acceptable. Pools were clean. Beds were adequate, one of the set ups with spaces between two twin beds, decent pillows. Not really worth $100 per night, in my opinion.

Good location, but poor quality
The hotel is located coventially, few restaurants across the road and local shop few minutes walk. The lake and local bus stop is about 10 minutes walk straight down. The rooms are poor quality, walls and furniture is scratched and need of freshening up. The shower is so small, if you are tall, pregnant or highly overweight you will struggle to fit inside, I could hardly turn around in the shower and it’s quite chlostic phobic. Overall majority’s of room is clean, part from the curtains and Molday tiles in bathroom. The breakfast was poor, all food is left open and milk and yourghout was not refrigated. They do not cater for international breakfasts. The pool facilities and bar was good, although overpriced drinks for a 3 star hotel, we paid 2 Euro just for a small bottle of water. The pool, you will find plenty of sun beds and the pizzas are amazing! Overall okay for a cheap break without the luxury and confort.

Don't judge a book by it's cover - it's great!
We stayed at the Hotel Palme & Suite for 4 nights in September 2018 as part of our Italian road trip. The hotel is ideally located to go into Garda, as it is only a 5-10 minute walk into the centre along a very easy route. Our room was very comfortable, plenty of space for my partner and I and was immaculately clean (bedding/sheets and the entire bathroom, which were cleaned on a daily basis by a very friendly young lady!) Unfortunately we were not able to borrow an iron from reception due to fire safety regs. in Italy (apparently) so come prepared with a travel iron! Yes the hotel is a bit dated in it's decor which is shown in the photographs posted and people have seemed to have complained about before, but as a base and somewhere to sleep for the night, it was absolutely fine. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant at night as there are far too many wonderful restaurants in Garda to eat in! Breakfast was included in the room price so we were grateful for the selection that was on offer (even though there were no broiches/crossants which we found unusual!) There were fried eggs/frankfurters, yoghurt and fruit, sliced cake, sliced meats, vegetables and bread rolls + tea/coffee and fruit juices. The waiting staff were all very friendly and helpful and always smiling. All round we had a lovely stay at the Hotel Palme and would use the hotel again.

Does what it says on the tin.
Positives: The hotel is about 5-10mins walk from the main tourist area. Pools with loungers and plenty of shade. Parking on site. Rooms basic but clean and spacious. Staff in the bar are pleasant and it was nice to sit outside on warm evenings. Negatives: Ridiculous breakfast system. You have to sit on the allocated table but our table was re-allocated halfway through the week so we had to stand around every day after that explaining to staff in a mixture of broken English, Italian and German that we had paid for breakfast but they had given our table to someone else. And the breakfast is fine if you like dry tasteless bread and assorted pink sweaty processed meat but it really isn't that great. The aircon in the rooms is better than nothing but barely kept the rooms cool enough to sleep in.

booked double bed but only a single bed in the room, the mattress was only 3 1/2 foot wide but the frame was 4 foot wide with a plank off wood filling the gap. I'm 6 feet 1 tall so the bed was a issue. the shower was also very small could not swing a cat. The other issue was the restaurant at breakfast was told that I could not sit at a table and was asked( told) to move twice to a table that was not ready ( no knife or tea spoon ) then had to hunt for knife & spoon and to be blunt the food was not worth it. the person that told me to move was rude and arrogant. No privacy on the balcony.

A Good location for a visit to Garda
A good hotel with a short walk from the Garda bus station. A 12 minute walk through the town to the lake. A large swimming pool good for families with children. Breakfast very good selection. May be worth the hotel having a toaster in the dinning hall. We find it is not just the English that enjoy fresh toak for breakfast. Will return to this hotel again.

Happy with hotel and price but area very touristy.
Can't do much better for the price. Hotel is older and attracts an older crowd, mostly German, Dutch and English tour buses. Both English and German are spoken by staff. Room was clean, balcony overlooked pool, town, mountains and lake. Great sunsets viewing. Happy with breakfast buffet, cold meats, cheese, fruit, egg, bacon, yogurt, etc. Towels: don't expect terry, they were more like a table cloth, but fresh every day and they dried fast.

Such a good location just a short walk from lake side and shops. Garda has great ambience both day and night. Hotel Palme has 2 good pools and bars with fab pizzas. The hotel rooms are fairly spacious with balconies set overlooking the trees. They are comfortable with extra wide beds. Everything is clean. Hotel is such good value and we would book again.

Don't expect to stay here!!!!
Booked the Hotel Le Palme because it was 300m from the town. However, we didn't get to stay there. It is part of a chain (Chincherini) and we were sent to the Oasi, which was a km up the hill. Lucky we had a car, to get our bags up! No explanation or apologies, nevermind anything to compensate us for this. No idea if the hotel was better as we didn't see inside the Palme. The walk to and from town, on dark streets, little footpath, and crossing 2 roads was not what we needed. Even when we reached the Oasi, we had to practically beg for a room.

Charming Hotel close to the Lake.
We were very happy with our stay. B+B. Fantastic value for money. Friendly and professional staff. Very clean Hotel. Quite dated and in need of redecoration in parts but we felt this added to the charm and character. Small bedroom but adequate. Air Con during summer months. Quiet. Good continental breakfast. Great pizza bar. 2 pools. Fantastic location. Views of mountains and Lake. We had a lovely stay and would return ! :-)

Leaky with poor air con
Stayed in the Palme Resort hotel from 4th-8th August 2015. Positives were: big room, free parking (although overflow spaces were a little walk away), friendly Palme bar staff (not Suite), nice matress, large room. Negatives were: Hot room (despite air con, the room never went below 29degC), there was a big leak in the ceiling from the sink upstairs (reported, but no action taken, plus stains in the lobby below our room indicating that this was an ongoing problem the hotel staff were aware of), noisy balcony near air con fans, rude breakfast staff that made you feel very unwelcome if you only ate breakfast there (most guests were half board). No doubt from what we've read on other reviews, the general manager will have something to say to discredit our review, however we are very genuine people just trying to enjoy our holiday. We've tried to give a balanced review by pointing out the positives too, but the negatives detracted too heavily from the experience.

Good location and lovely staff!
We stayed in August, it was incredibly hot in Garda so the air con was fantastic at night. We paid an extra few euros to have a 'superior room' and the balcony was a lovely addition. The towels are atypical italian, thin and perfect for that climate in August. The staff were friendly and helpful and great with arranging excursions. We went horse riding and the staff booked it all for us. With regard to location, it is great. It is a 4 minute walk into the main part of town and to the bus pick up. The buses are easy to use (and cheap) and took us to maccelsine and Verona on day trips out. It also has 2 swimming pools and a pizzeria which is great for kids. We hired bikes from the bike rental shop near the bus station no I cannot recommend this highly enough! We cycled into Lazise following the coast line and had a lovely day. You can have the bikes all day if you wish which is what we did and there are lots of bike racks so you can stop and get something to eat or look round if you wish.

Overall, this hotel is perfect as a budget option in Garda that still feels nice to be in and offers many facilities. The food in the hotels pizzeria was lovely, and the free breakfast had a lot of options. The only problems were that we requested a double bed and they gave us two single beds pushed together, and that the electricity for the room was activated by a key attached to the room key and emitted a buzzing when in use which could be slightly annoying if the electricity wanted to be used overnight to charge devices.

Decent hotel, good price
The hotel is about a 5-10min walk to the waterfront, and there is an atm and great little grocery store with excellent produce nearby. Rooms and hotel are a bit old fashioned but everything was clean and the price was good. The only thing is that they charge extra for wifi.

Hotel Le Palme
In a nice quiet area, but was a quick 5-10 minute walk to centre of Garda and Lake. Rooms were very clean and air-conditioned, although a little old fashioned in terms of decoration and main room light fitting was not fully attached to ceiling! Most of guests were retired couples with just a few families and younger couples. We were B & B and we were provided with a reasonable choice for breakfast. To encourage B & B guests the hotel was promoting a good deal in their pizzeria by offering a pizza and drink for 9 euros. In the restaurant you could have a meal for 11 euros. Although this sounded a good offer we didn't try it as I think the choice was limited to either a meat or fish dish for the main course. There were plenty of ristorante or trattorias in Garda to choose from instead. Staff were helpful and you were served quickly in the bar. It was disappointing that you were not given free wifi access.

Good location close to the lake.
Myself and my husband had a lovely enjoyable stay in Garda, Italy. The scenery is spectacular, the resort spotless and the food fab. This was our second visit to Garda in the last 3 years and it did not disappoint the second time around - we stayed for 5 nights. Our balcony looked out over the pool which was pleasant but some of the rooms look out the back onto other buildings. Wifi is available to buy from reception at a daily rate and can only be used in the reception or bar area but not upstairs in the rooms. I don't think I will ever tire of the beauty of Garda.

Central but falls short of usual 3 star standards
To be fair, I'll mention the positives first. The hotel is in a good fairly central location, only about 5-10 minute stroll to the town centre and lake. Our room had a large balcony with a lovely view over the lake and mountains and it got the sun all afternoon till about 8pm. The bar was quite good with friendly staff and reasonable prices. On the down-side, the room was small and very basic. The bathroom in particular was tiny with a walk-in shower squeezed in. The towels provided were of poor quality, more like tea-towels! They were changed daily though.. There are no facilities to hire a fridge which was disappointing. Also, the air-con is not turned on till July and our second week the temperatures were in the 30s so it was uncomfortable especially at night when you couldnt leave the windows open.. The worst experience was probably the dining room. We had booked breakfast only. Most of the clientele were on half-board basis. If you were on b&b you did not know where to sit and we were frequently told to move (none too politely by the waiting staff!) The tables were overcrowded and you had to weave in and out to get to the buffet tables. The food was adequate, but the juice was watered down and the yoghurt was thin and runny.. There was no organisation. Also, there was only one lift serving a quite large hotel so you frequently had to wait ages for it. One day it broke down altogether so we had to walk up 3 flights. In all, I wouldn't return to this hotel.

Perfect location, 8 min walk from the lake and the old city. Good restaurant across the street from the hotel, fare prices and good food and service. Carpet in the room with stains, cracks in the sink, the hotel was full; it was hard finding space to park the car. It is obvious that at the past it was very fancy hotel but now needs some renovation, nice pool but it was to cold to try it.

Big bustling hotel serving big breakfasts
This is a very large hotel next door to another associated hotel, so the car parks, the dining rooms and all the public areas are very busy and crowded. But it has two large swimming pools, which were sufficient even in mid August, and you can use the huge parking area of the adjacent hotel if the smaller one at Le Palme is full. The "eat as much as you like" buffet breakfasts were pretty good, going well beyond the scanty continental breakfast you fear, and we found all of the staff, from receptionists to waiters and cleaners, were friendly and helpful. The lake and mountain views are fantastic. This hotel was previously rated 2/5 which seems rather low based on our experience, but maybe our 4 has pushed it up a bit. It's not a luxury hotel, but you could do a lot worse.

Cheap and Extremely Cheerful - I Loved It
With Hotel Palme, you get what you pay for. At the cheaper end of the spectrum, it's an extremely clean hotel, the staff are pleasant and helpful, the rooms are basic and perhaps a little tired, but comfortable (there is air conditioning that turns on as long as the balcony doors are closed and an electronic safe you can use free of charge#. They are spotlessly clean, and all used towels are replaced daily. If you are lucky enough, there are some rooms with spectacular views of the surrounding hills/mountains, but if not, the gardens are still pretty nice. There are two pools, which are cleaned every morning and are really quite lovely, with plenty of sun loungers around the edge. There are two cafes, one which is attached to the lobby and bar area, and another by the second pool which has a small menu of snack-type food #paninis, pizzas etc). It is close to the bus station, and a five-minute walk from Garda town and the lake. I was impressed with the selection of breakfast foods, which although they are the same daily, include a wide variety of continental options, as well as more traditional cereals, breads, fruits, yoghurt, eggs and bacon etc. The breakfast juice they served was yummy. Overall, I'd say that I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Palme - while it is basic in terms of rooms, if you are the sort who just needs a comfortable, clean, safe place to put your head down at the end of a busy day's sightseeing, it is absolutely ideal and I would stay there again.

Hotel La Palme, a very good no frills Hotel
A really good location being just a short walk from the centre. Large size bedroom with adequate storage space. The room was kept spotlessly clean by the maid.Excellent choice for breakfast and good quality food. The hotel did offer evening meals but we we were on a B&B basis. The room had air conditioning but unfortunately it was on a central timer and therefore was not switched on in the mornings which was a little bit inconvenient as we had very hot weather when we stayed there. There were two swimming pools. one shallow for children and a deeper one for adults.I was a little surprsied that there were no depth markings on the adult pool ( did not look at childrens pool for markings). I am 5ft 6 in tall and could not touch the bottom of the pool at either end.Having said all that, I would definately stay there again.
