I would have graded this hotel higher but it is advertised as 4 star. I would rate it a very good 3 star but that takes nothing away from the hotel itself. The staff couldn't do enough to help, breakfast was briliant and although there was no bar in the hotel the surrounding area has numerous dining and drinking places, something for everyone. We were advised that the hotel is closing at the end of the month which is a great shame as I would have no hesitation in returning. Excellent value for money and highly recommended..
Exceptional staff, went above and beyond to make stay comfortable. Breakfast staff were incredible... smiley happy faces, personal approach to guests and fresh food rotation and the best latte ive had yet in Poland. Room was huge and very comfy....one of the best sleeps ive had in a hotel. Location was excellent too. Highly recommend
Room was great, very generously sized. Bathroom also good. Good quality TV etc.
Couple of small issues - one of the curtains was attached loosely and fell off so I had to climb up and reattached it. There was a kettle in the room, but the tray with all the tea/coffee etc was empty.
On a side note - the area is great, right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter of Krakow, totally fascinating.
Everything was as expected very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was excellent.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Buffet breakfast was adequate and enough choice.
Bar was closed when went to have a drink after long day out on excursion
Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff was awesome-especially Ksema, who went out of her way to help us find tickets for a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau when our tour company canceled on us at the last minute. She even arranged for the hotel to pack us lunches to take with us on our visit. Thank you Ksema! Wonderful stay and we would go back in a heartbeat.
The Astoria is a fantastically well located hotel, 20 minutes walk from town and among some great restaurants and bars in the Kasimierz district.
The rooms are comfortable and clean and make a change from 'corporate' hotels.

Dear Sir / Madame,
thank you for this so nice words about our hotel. We are very pleased that you liked oir hotel and we all hope to host you as our Guest soon.
With best regards
The hotel's location was perfect for a stroll to ul. Szeroka, ul. Krakowska and any number of other great places. The staff was friendly and helpful in an unobstrusive manner and the room was very comfortable and well serviced. The breakfast was great, too.
Our stay was really comfortable and the staff were very helpful, especially in the restaurant where the girl worked extremely hard all the time. We don't know her name, but she is very slim, had dark hair and wore glasses. She was a very pleasant girl.
All the staff on the reception were also very helpful too. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an enormous bed. The hotel was warm all the time.
The only criticism is that there was no plug in the sink in the bathroom, but we could live with that!
Overall Astoria is a really good hotel in an excellent situation right in the Jewish quarter within walking distance of the town centre and the interesting places all around the area.
Very far from a 3 stars hotel.
Very bad value for money!!!
For a price of more than PLN 1,250 per night I expect much higher standards even from a 3 star hotel in Kazimierz Krakow.
Hotel is very convenient for the Jewish quarter right in the heart of kazimirez.
Hotel clean rooms very spacious beds comfy.
Breakfast lots of choices.
Tram 5 minutes walk end of the road 8, 10 13 drops u by main square.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Stayed here a few times never had any complaints you will not be disappointed if u decide to stay here.
Great hotel, lovely , warm, clean, great location and great value for money , couldn't believe how cheap it was and friendly staff wear. Only bad thing .... Pillows were awful ! Did Auschwitz tour , highly recommended.
staff very polite and informative. very happy with the breakfasts.pretty central to most areas we wanted to see. only down side was went down to the bar for a nitecap only to be told it was closed. AT 11.20 ? ? ?
Astoria provided everything we needed in a great area of Krakow. Rooms good, breakfast more than adequate - a good 3 star Hotel. BUT, the description in Hotels.com is just plain wrong. The Hotel does NOT provide coffee facilities in room, does NOT provide bathrobe and slippers, and does NOT appear to have a Sauna or any such facilities for its guests. Just warning you all!
Stayed here for 2 nights as a base to visit krakow square and auswitch. Fantastic hotel, only 15 mins walk to hotel with good shops and views on the way. Hotel very clean and restaurant is lovely, breakfast was good with plenty of choice, would definitely go back to this hotel again.
Nice hotel, Great breakfast, clean room, friendly and polite staff. Located in the old part of town which was a big bonus for me. I very much enjoyed my stay will return on my next visit.
Have stayed at this hotel a few times now have never had a bad word to say about it.this hotel is brilliant for Jewish quarter staff friendly very helpful.hotel in very good condition room excellent room had air con but did not use it as was quite cold out and room was just right.rooms cleaned every day towels changed every day if you want but sheets on bed only change every 3 days.breakfast plentiful loads of choice to please everyone.hotel close to loads of good bars places to eat.trams 5 minute walk from hotel.stay here you will not be disappointed

Disliked: Room comfort
Hotel was ok but the noise from outside a joke
Hotel was ok, clean and maintained. Staff friendly, but, never managed to sleep as the noise from the bars outside was a joke. Defo wouldn't stay here again
Just got back from 3night stay what a brilliant time it was.Hotel ticks all the boxes great location wanted to be in kazimirez area as have been a few times to Krakow so spend a lot of time in this area as bars and restraints are fab.hotel very clean nice size bathroom shower gel and shampoo replenished daily.towels changed every day would have given room a big 5 but socket by bed did not work minor detail.pillows very thin just the 1but no other problems with room.free bottled water in room also air con was great as was quite warm 2 days nice chill on room.staff very friendly and helpfull .staff always smilling even the cleaners give a big smile and friendly hello.breakfast ticks all the boxes chocolate croissants were delicious bread rolls cheese ham sausages eggs salad cereals orange juice fresh filter coffee tea.hotel 2 mins from bars also tram end of the road turn right 5 minute walk.tram 13 and 8to get you to centre.I would recommend this hotel to anyone if you stay here you will not be dissapointed.
For a 3 night break this was excellent value. Easy to find off main route but half way down a quiet enough road. Staff spoke great English but we never really had to ask them for anything other than a taxi which was promptly waiting for us as requested. Breakfast adequate enough for various tastes and hot food prepared on request. Cannot rate enough the fantastic location of this hotel with great range of chilled bars and restaurants literally minutes away. Including the Plac Nowy, excellent for late night zapiekanka! A must during your stay! (We could see the zapiekanka outlets clearly from our bedroom!) Within relaxing walking distance of main sites in old town and Wawel Castle or get the tram (we didn't). No noise issues despite lively location other than workmen doing maintenance in the hotel during our stay who were very noisy from 7am onwards! However I imagine this was an isolated incident during a period of maintenance and no big issue for us as we are up at 7 anyway. But I imagine it could have annoyed some guests. I would certainly recommend Astoria to anyone who wants an excellent value hotel in a great city. I will definitely stay there in the future.
Quite good for a 3 star hotel. Although people outisde can be a bit noisy at night. Our only gripes: they said there was a satellite TV. Well there was but not one channel was in English! Also if there is to be no coffee machine, slippers or robe, they shouldn't advertise that there is. The only one pillow was extremely thin. Breakfast was good. I would still recommend this hotel as a perfectly good 3 star as long as the weather was good and you didn't want to watch TV at any time with a cup of coffee in your slippers and bath robe .
The Astoria hotel in Krakow is in an excellent position being in the centre of the lively olde worlde jewish quarter. Lots of bars and cheap cafes. Its about 15 steady minutes walk to the castle and about 25 minutes into the main square of the old town. As the area is very lively at nightime there quite a lot of noice until the early hours, but was not really a problem. Breakfast is a normal continental affair with hot sausages and scrambled eggs, breads, cheece, meats and other polish items. the hotel has its own cafe and bar with a beer garden outside. Prices seem quite reasonable. Service at breakfast was sometimes very lax with items suc h as coffee, fruit juices and hot water left empty. In the main we enjoyed our stay at the Astoria. Charges about £3 (16PLN ) tourist tax for 5 nights for 2 people
Hotel staff & food very good. convenient to facilities Air conditioning did not work even after we reported same. Extremely noisey outside on the street during the night, unable to get very much sleep. Stated on our booking form that hotel supplied slippers & gowns none available, hotel informed us that this information comes from booking agency. Otherwise enjoyed our holiday in Krakow
