The resort was so much better than we had anticipated. We were greeted with smiling staff, a welcome drink and cold towel. Our room was super spacious with a wonderful balcony with views of the towering rocks, pool area and playful monkeys. The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our 5 island hop. Really good quality food, great variety and continuously refilled. A new bottled water was provided in room for each guest daily, and from our experience, they didn't mind guests refilling at breakfast station which is not always allowed. Thanks goes to the staff for not over scrutinizing the guests, this was a refreshing experience!! I'm not sure why people insist on writing reviews complaining about a bad smell. The resort is located in a natural environment, it is not Disney World! The smell that everyone is mentioning is not faulty water system, it is the smell of surrounding mangroves. Mangroves do have a sulfur (gassy) smell on occasion when the tide is low. Wonderful pools and nice gym. Everything is easily accessible from this location. We loved Railay!

The staff are excellent. This location is very nice for all kinds of activities from hanging around the pretty beach to boat trips to the islands. Its not on the west side, but its so close it does not matter. You can save money and book this hotel and walk to the west side very easily. Only accessible by boat, but the boat trip is short and pretty simple. Shopping like crazy close by. Very chill area.

Pasamos unos dias excelentes. Muy lindo el hotel y las instalaciones. El personal muy amable, aunque es complicado hacerse entender tanto en la recepcion como con el resto del personal del hotel porque no hablan mucho ingles. Tienen dos piletas, pero te atienden solo en una y eso me resulto un poco incomodo porque tenes que estar yendo de una punta a la otra a pedir cosas, incluso para usar el baño. La comida muy rica y la ubicacion es excelente. Faltan tachos de basura, tal vez con algun sistema de cerrado co gancho. uno encuentra desperdicios por todos lados, botellas y vasos de plastico debido a los animales.

This hotel is a good option for staying at Railay. It is very close to the East Railay pier, so if you are travelling with luggage, it is easy to get to and from. The rooms are spacious with good sized balconies. Housekeeping wasnt great though. There are horrible drain smells from the srain in the bathroom.floor sometimes and the bathrooms weren't cleaned thoroughly during our stay, only on arrival. The pool areas are good, and the pools are clean. Breakfast wasn't great. The food is kept in heated buffet servers, but they are not kept heated, so hot items like eggs and sausages are cold.

Great property! Nice and spacious room with all the amenities needed. Staff is super friendly. The only recommendation I would have is to add some extra lights, it was super dark in the room since there is only one light close to the door.

Great location right on Railay island although only way there is by boat which gets more expensive after 6pm. Staff was slow to respond after a few things started off broken in the room and no one came to collect laundry after multiple requests so just dropped it off at the front.

We had requested some information about how to get to the hotel but there seemed to be some communication issues. All sorted in the end. The stay was amazing. The breakfast was a good start to the day. The rooms were cleaned well each day considering the amount of sand that seemed to appear each day from us. The beaches are stunning and we could easily have spent another four days and been very happy. The hotel is located next to the floating pier so very easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

Does the job
I needed a one night stay in Railay and this seemed like the best value. Honestly, it’s fine. Nice spacious room BUT incredibly hard bed and pillows made for a lousy night’s sleep. Plus poor room lighting (they give you a torch (though no battery)because the bed light doesn’t work.

There is only one swimming pool at this property. We found it to be often busy and no sun lounger available. The spa is lovely and overlooks the lake. The gym is adequate. The barman was most welcoming and would always oblige with signature cocktails 🍹🍹

Charged THB150 for face towel -Dirty from rain
I have been staying at Railay Princess since 2016 and experience a variety of great satisfaction but also with occasional frustration. This trip July 2022, they charged me THB150 for a face towel that was stained from the red rocks of Railay hills. It was raining and we got caught on a hike - and how ridiculous to charge for the stain as this is what a Hotel should provide even if it means its a stain - how else did you want us to wipe off ? Our OWN TOWEL ? Why do we Boook a Hotel then ? SO UPSET and reception is like talking to a WALL. Other than that, pick up arrangements, breakfast, aircon, hot water - every works.

The proximity to the pier was excellent upon arrival. A quiet resort, a short walk to the main Beach. One pool was a light green in colour. We were close to septic tanks, with an unbelievable / horrible smell. The buffet breakfast had 3 choices for vegetarians- eggs, toast and fruit. Limited gym, A/c was broken in the gym. However the price was right

Very unique peninsula isolated from mainland so feels like an island. Railay Bay and Princess are sister hotels (beach is on bay side = west). They have their own boat and parking lot (50 baht)-runs 8, 2, 6 pm and own parking. Very sweet place and very good service.

Gorgeous island but Over tourism Destroying
Watch out for the artificial “orange juice” at breakfast buffet...Some kind of chemical concoction. Tried to charge for every little thing. ugly views and bad smells. Island needs sewage treatment and tap water is very salty. Railay is Gorgeous island though, just being destroyed by over tourism and lack of pollution control. Ao Nang is far worse. Overbuilt tacky tourist town with even worse sewage problem.

Highly recommend! Room was great, bed was comfortable. The only improvement I suggest is to offer thinner pillows. Air conditioning works great. Breakfast is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is very good. Fitness center has A/C. Would come again!

An overall great experience up until check out where they charged me for using a small towel in my room to scrub out the clay and mud on my shoes from climbing nearby. It’s unfortunate that they would choose to let that experience be the last thing I remember about my stay here.

Very nice hotel in a lovely location. Very safe. New Years Eve Party was outstanding Food exemplary. We only had 1 complaint that during dinner at the restaurant our main course was brought out 15 minutes from each other. We would have preferred to eat together.
