I waited 30 minutes outside the gate when I came back to the property around 9:45 pm , nobody tend to the buzz and nobody answer the phone call , terrible

The place is clean, safe and staff very friendly. I was in room 14 and there's no air con in that room. It was freezing but eventually the lady brought a portable heater!

Lovely property. Quiet and hidden away. Catered to all needs. Short term stay. Was able to extend stay without any problem. Staff friendly and accomodating. .Property safe. No AC, guest amenities though.

One to Avoid
The lodge is located in a dodgy area. We did not feel safe and there was loud music from neighbouring businesses. We were disturbed by loud talking and noise from adjoining rooms. It is run down and needs maintenance. The pool was not clean, the carpets tired and dirty. The DStv program bouquet is very limited and there were no guest supplies other than liquid soap. The bathroom was spacious and clean, but the towels were old and frayed. The pillows were past their useful life. The curtains were opaque and in poor repair. The shuttle service to the airport was excellent. This is not a keeper for us and we were disappointed that Hotels.com carries properties like this one on its books.

The service was excellent. We were there for a short layover and would highly recommend it for something like that. They were very accommodating and it was so nice to have the free shuttle from/to the airport.

Everything was fine but the disappointment was no evening meal that we used to look forward to. Hope they can restore that soon. We had a take-away instead and the dining room was set for us. Thanks for that.

Personal friendly service. Tomle picked me up promptly from airport, helped me make safari arrangements and provided a warm atmosphere. Everyone there was nice, friendly and helpful.

We didn’t like being scammed saying we hadn’t paid for breakfast when we had. Room was dark and dingy. Best thing was the two girls who waited breakfast tables. Good breakfast. Airport driver was good. Front desk clerk needed to be able to listen,

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is casual. At this time there is no lunch or dinner service. The breakfast options are limited but it is easy for vegetarians to have a good breakfast. There is a continuing problem with "power shedding" in Johannesberg. This occured at least twice a day. At this time, the property has to use a generator for power which ensures there is power to, keep the lights on. so to speak. Unfortunately, there is no internet at this time. They have a vehicle with driver who was available to take us to and from the airport, or out for a meal. The area was quiet except for the fact, it was under the flight path of planes taking off. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here.

Ohhh, this place is SO FANTASTIC!! The way it's set up made me feel like my safari had already begun...in the middle of Johannesburg and close to the airport!!! I love everything about it, the friendly staff, the 24 hour coffee set up, the bungalow-type rooms. I stayed there twice, and if I ever go to SA again, there's no other place I'd stay!! Highly, highly recommended!!!

This place is so fantastic! It's just as great as the photos make it seem! Before a safari in Kruger, I stayed in a regular room, and after the safari I stayed in the log cabin! Try to get the log cabin if you can!! Everyone is very friendly, and it's got all mod cons! Highly recommended!!

I love this lodge for many reasons: they are always prompt on picking me up at the airport and transporting me back to catch my continued flights. They communicate so well- constantly in touch via whats app and are quick to respond to questions or needs. The lodge has beautiful grounds and a lovely picnic area on the lawn. I wished the shower was cleaner and that there the room included soap and shampoo. Overall, I would go back again and recommend my friends.

We have stayed at this lodge many times and will continue to go back each time we are in the Johannesburg area. It is an oasis in the middle of the city. The staff is friendly, helpful and go the extra mile always.

Misleading information
The pix on the site is nothing what the rooms looks like. Is smells damp and has a "sink dak" which is not what you would expect from a guest lodge. the parking for your car was next to a rubbish site with no security. In fact we never even checked in due to the misleading information given to us. I will never recommend this to anyone.

Great stay near Johannesburg Airport
Convenient for Johannesburg International Airport ... only a few minutes by free shuttle. Great pick up & drop off. Really nice lodge. Good pool and really nice to chill out for a few hours. You get noise from ✈️, which you should expect being so close to the airport. Really good breakfast and an excellent evening meal (Limited choices available when we stayed). A really nice touch is the free tea and coffee in the bar. I would highly recommend for a short stay near the airport.

Friendly helpful reception and comfortable room. External areas were tidy and the pool was lovely. No AC but effective fan. Breakfast was good. We were pleased to have an overnight stay there and get the shuttle bus next day for an onward flight.
