Was there for the New York custom knife show and had an amazing time. With the venue in the hotel. Very convenient, room was great. Loved everything.

The room was comfortable and the view of nyc was beautiful. What I didn’t like that the room that I booked in Expedia didn’t match the room they gave me. Had to pay 100 bucks on top of the 320 that I paid to get the room that I originally wanted with the view of nyc and the soaking tub. The bed sheets had to be replaced because there were noticeable stains on them. The tub was dirty we cleaned that ourselves.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the westin! The room had a nice partial view of the financial district in Manhattan and the beds were very comfortable! Great options for dining and the grab n go breakfast option was awesome in the mornings. Will definitely stay again, thank you Westin Jc!

The worse . First of all the people pay for what they see on the website but once you get there they give you whatever they have available! Plus the “manager” gets an attitude when is their fault they just want the money…

Clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Expedia description of River view is not accurate. Hotel informed me the only rooms with actual River views are the suites.

excellent stay
Excellent all the way around - staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms were new and clean, lobby was spacious and comfortable, subway (PATH) station is 1 block away (10 minute ride to World Trade Center or 33rd St. midtown). Our particular room had a view of Manhattan, but without the noise. Surrounding neighborhood has great walkable restaurants / coffee options. This is really an excellent value for a NY trip.

First off we were shown a room that we didn’t get. They showed us a picture of the presidential suite and we got the Jr suite. Then I got very very sick and had to leave a day early, THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME AN ERLY CHECKOUT FEE!!! I’ve never heard of that before! Parking is a far walk and the roommwas not even ready for us when we got there at 5pm. Terrible waste of money will never go back !

I am a local and have been to the Westin on numerous occasions for brunch/dinner at their wonderful restaurant Fire & Oak. They have a great brunch and the Mac and Cheese is a "must have." This was my first time as a guest in the hotel. The feel of the lobby is very welcoming and the staff was extremely friendly. I reserved a King room, which was very roomy and clean. The bathroom was lovely and their bath and shampoo products were very good. My only issue was that the room was a bit chilly. I turned up the heat but it became cold again at some point in the middle of the night. Hopefully, it was just a glitch that just happened in my room. The Westin is a half-block to two other wonderful restaurants and Newport Mall is just a short walk from there. In addition, there are numerous other restaurants and nightlife in downtown Jersey City. It is also walking distance to the PATH train to New York and the light rail to the waterfront at Exchange Place or the nightlife in Hoboken. Overall, the Westin Jersey City is a great place to stay if you want to avoid NYC prices and a great location if you don't feel like traveling into the city.
