Excellent hotel with a fantastic breakfast and staff. The location is great and extremely close to attractions such as Hagia Sofia, Sultan Ahmet Square, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and the T1 tramline (which is a lifesaver). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had an amazing time exploring Istanbul!

The most wonderful start to our trip. Thank you so much to the staff of Sultanhan hotel and special thanks to Mr Engin Dagcı. Truly efficient, organized and great location/ value for money . My wife and I got upgraded to the presidential suite for our one night layover in Istanbul on the way to Morocco from San Francisco. Highly recommend it we had limited time and wanted to see everything. The hotel is walking distance to all major attractions so we saved a lot of time and the rooftop has the best breakfast/view. Definitely coming back here next time.

The reception, restaurant, and cleaning staff were very friendly and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable and the mini fridge was an appreciated asset. I would definitely book a room again at this hotel as the room was very comfortable and the hotel was within walking distance to all major sites. Highly recommended!

We stayed in Sultanhan Hotel for almost a week, and we loved it. It's located in a very quiet street, and yet 5 minutes walking distance from the main attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc. Street cars, restaurants and retails stores. Breakfast, one of the bests we ever had, that includes fresh honey served from the very honeycomb, is offered from a beautiful terrace with an amazing, 360 degree view, from the Old Istanbul. Rooms are spacious, elegant and classy. But washrooms definitely need an upgrade as the stayed in the sixties and sometimes a full odour was coming from the pipes.

Outstanding hotel for our family with a long flight layover. Offered great rate, easy shuttle from airport, large and historical room type with balcony, perfect location to tourist sites, shopping, eating and a staff that treated us like VIPs. Roof top restaurant was a bonus, best kabob ever.

Location location location. Walking distance from Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar. The T1 T2 trams was conveniently located within walking distance. The facility was nice enough and clean enough. What sold us was the location.

This hotel is perfectly located to Old Town sites (literally minutes to walk everywhere), while still quiet and quaint. The staff were all very attentive, especially when our daughter took a tumble and needed some ice/mending. The hotel itself is older (though well kept and updated), so sound insulation isn’t what it could be- we always sleep with white noise anyway though. Beds were good, pillows great, breakfast was wonderful. They upgraded our room to have a French balcony.

Very well located hotel in easy walking distance to the most famous sites in Istanbul: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar. Lots of good restaurants in the are too. The staff are excellent and very helpful BUT the hotel needs an upgrade as it is dated.

I never review hotel stays. But, I am going to make an exception for the Sultanhan Hotel. The staff were amazing! They all were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary. The top floor restaurant has uninterrupted views of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Sipping my breakfast coffee and watching the sun rise over the Bosphorus and Istanbul is something I will always remember. The only words I have for my stay are Wow! Wow! Wow! Wholeheartedly recommend.

The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent. The bathrooms look good but are somewhat inconvenient and the water pressure is very inconsistent. There is no way to adjust the room temperature other than opening the windows. Overall good value for the money.

We have previously visited this hotel and there are 2 things that stand out. Firstly, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and secondly the location is perfect for central Istanbul. You can walk to all the main tourist attractions. The views from the breakfast and restaurant are on Floor 6 are an added bonus.

The staff at the front desk ,especially Mr Engin was always cheerful and helpful and speak very good English.The room was spacious and clean .The morning staff at the breakfast lounge was outstanding and courteous. We had a wonderful time at this property. From welcome till departure everything was amazing . The location is ideal for sultanahmat area with walking distance to all attractions. The hotel interior is beautiful. The host and all staff are very friendly and helpful Engin. The rooftop breakfast and view from there were mind blowing. Nice ambience, very nice staff, will jump to satisfy your every need. Unfortunately there were many such "needs to correct things" : TV remote control did not work, bathroom door was making a huge shrieking noie (waking up everyone if anyone needed the bathroom in the middle of the night), and the worst of all, at some point the hot water in the sink was coming BROWN COLOUR out of the tap. And I mean BROWN (we have the video to prove). Other guests experienced it too.

The hotel staffs were excellent. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and location is perfect to visit Blue Mosque, Hiya Sofia and Others. I would definitely recommend to others.

The hotel is very central to all tourist destinations in the old city of Istanbul. 10 minutes walk to Grand Bazar, the two famous mosques and the old Turkish Hammam. Breakfast is excellent with continental and Turkish specialties. Staff is super polite and helpful. They even made us breakfast at 4am for a day trip and arranged all tours at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend for your first time visit to Istanbul.

All the staff were amazing, and we felt very looked after. The room was comfortable and the views from the rooftop dining area were breathtaking. The breakfast had plenty of variety with local and international options. The hotel's location meant we were only 5 minutes to the grand bazaar, the blue mosque and Hagia Sofia, and a couple of minutes from the tram stop. Would definitely stay here again.
