great located cozy boutique hotel
We booked this hotel because of the central great location, 150 meter from Blue Mosque,our room was facing the ancient wall of Hippodrome feel like in a dream, a real king size bed which is not common in Turkey ( 200-220 cm ) great staff and perfect breakfast comparing the rate that we paid it was a super deal definitelty recommend it to all

No star hotel with perfect location
We were shocked to see hotel as it was mentioned 4 star on Expedia, staff informed it's not even one star but we compromise as some staff member were nice n hotel room was clean and location was in the the heart of Sultanahmet square which is walking distance to all tourist attractions. Hotel is like a cottage.

Great location & friendly staff
The hotel location is within walking distance to all what you need to see and visit in Istanbul. Rooms are specious and updated. Food and shops are everywhere. The front desk staff are very helpful and welcoming. On multiple occasions they went above & beyond to to accommodate our needs. Breakfast is very good with very good quality. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back there on our next visit. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel and stuff and GREAT location
It was a great experience in Fides Hotel - Special Class. I recommend everyone this hotel. The location is perfect, you can walk to multiple places and save your money. The stuff is awesome, they help you to have great vacation, they can arrange trips to other cities in Turkey. From my experience, they help to have fun till the last minutes. I cough a cold late night and they too care of me. The room was nice, and every day they clean it for us. They have a secure locker to put your documents and values. Stuff over there will not hesitate to help you arrange your schedule and recommend good places for you and your family. If you are looking for a GREAT location, a nice hotel, and people you can trust while you are in Turkey, I highly recommend this hotel. My family and I were blessed got this hotel and we will never book another hotel, it is always Fides Hotel - Special Class!!

A short nice stay
I stayed here one night and arrived very early morning the staff provide me early check in and my room was really large and comfortable a huge queen size bed and all amenities

Cheating
The room and the hotel were anything but great. In your list it had a 4 star rating, which means in this case no elevator, nor air conditioning, room didn't have daylight, the carpet was very dirty and the room right next to the staircase and the reception, which means that it was very noisy all the time. Without the rating I would have never booked the room!!!!!

Perfect location and very comfortable stay
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great experience. Our taxi found the hotel straight away without any issues and the staff came out to welcome us and brought our luggage to our room. Checking in process took 2 minutes. The bedroom was good size, clean, bright with 3 windows and the shower was very decent size too. Location is perfect as all the famous sites like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Tokapi palace are within 10 minutes walk away. The tram is next to the Blue Mosque for any further sites like the Grand bazaar and it only costs £1 each way! Also many good restaurants and local shops are steps away from the hotel. The staff made our stay really comfortable and helped us with anything we needed like directions, recommendations. Would highly recommend.

A nice little hotel in the old town of Istanbul
Very centrally located hotel in the old town of Istanbul. Lots of eateries and food shops around the locale. Very safe neighborhood. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear people in other rooms sometimes, but I'm not sure if it's something about this hotel or if it's a regional thing.

Refer to find other hotels.
1. The hotel name is not matched. They are using other name. so hard to find it. 2. Hotel front desk reception is little rude. Need to improve customer services. 3. Hotel's room pictures and actual hotel s rooms are different. 4. There are many hotels around there with better location,amenities, and PRICE. However, this hotel is over priced and bad services.

It was a good experience for me to stay at the Fides Hotel. The staff of the Hotel was very nice and cooperative. Over all the stay was comfortable. I was able to visit the major attractive places (Blue mosque, Hagia sofia and Topkapi Palace) easily as these were on walking distance.

Surprised and challenged
Hotel is located close to main attractions but still tucked away and uncomfortable for ladies to walk alone outside day light. The initial room we got had windows facing the ugly back wall of the neighbouring building only one meter distance so our room did not have proper day light and had a heavy smell on wet cement and mould. On our complaint we got a better room on the following day

The hotel was very difficult to find, since it did not have a sign outside that said Fides Hotel. We arrived late, and the two men who checked us in were rude and said very little. One took us up to room and literally "dumped" us in the room. Not much comment. The room reeked of fish smell and the window opened up to a wall. The air conditioner was not working, luckily it was a cool night. When I went down to ask about water later on, he told me to go buy some down the street! The breakfast was not much and very basic. One positive-the location was good. We would not recommend this hotel again.

Pleasant surroundings, helpful concierge. The room was adequate but one power point was in need of repair and the bathroom lacked facility to hold towels. The breakfast room was in the basement which is certainly a negative compared to some hotels in the area. The breakfast was also adequate. Overall the hotel was expensive for it's value.

Great location, but not a four star hotel.
We really enjoyed the location of the hotel, but the staff was less than helpful. The room we stayed in was not thoroughly cleaned from guests who stayed there before us. There was no wireless internet and the room was in need of maintainence (shower head was not mounted tot the wall, several lights needed to be replaces. For the money I would recommend a different hotel in the same area.

Fides is a nice location and facade, but no frills
Fides is a perfectly decent hotel, but little things, like different colored light bulbs (ie. some warm yellow, some harsh white) in the overhead light in the room, front desk staff who were hit-or-miss (the tall gentleman did not seem interested in helping me beyond the basics of his job description), and the fact that when I inquired about making a local call from my room, he said it would be "very expensive." (The next hotel I stayed at in Istanbul charged me nothing for local calls.) Otherwise it is a 10 minute walk to the sights of the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, so if you don't mind roughing it a bit (by Western standards, of course), Fides is your place. Also, Fides caters to more conservative types, so don't expect to bring anyone back to your room, as it will be considered "indecent." (My next hotel didn't care.)

Hassan the Legend!!
We went back to Fides Hotel for a couple of days after our Gallipoli and Troy visits and once again Hassan and his staff did not disappoint. He even allowed me to print up our flight check in passes using his computer and printer. We now call him Hassan the Legend!!

A very comfortable and friendly place to stay.
Hassan and the rest of the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Hassan is extremely efficient and no question went unanswered. He organised airport transfers and had helpful advice whenever we required it. The breakfast was traditional plus there was cereal and toast. There was an abundance of everything!!! One downside was the thin walls and ceilings. Bring ear plugs for use at night. But we would stay here again.

Leuk hotel vlakbij de meeste bezienswaardigheden.
Mijn ervaring was heel goed. Heel goed ontvangen, goede uitleg van de omgeving en hele vriendelijke personeel. Ontbijt was prima, alleen wat variatie zou fijn zijn. De kamer was zeer ruim en netjes. Waterkoker aanwezig in de kamer om lekker van een kopje thee te genieten in de avond. Vlak aan de overkant was ook een speeltuin, waar mijn dochter kon spelen en heel veel restaurant op loopafstand voor lekker eten. Al met al een super goed hotel....

Avevamo scelto questo hotel perché vicino alle attrazioni più importanti di Istanbul. 150 metri e sei nella piazza Suntanhamet; Moschea Blue, AyaSofya, Obelischi, Cisterna e Topkapi si raggiungono in non più di 5 minuti a piedi. Più comodo di così..... Ahyan e Bulent, i due ragazzi alla reception, ci hanno fornito tutte le informazioni di cui necessitavamo circa orari dei musei, trasporti, ristoranti, etc...

Schön und günstig
Insgesamt für den Preis ein sehr angemessen eingerichtetes Hotel mit WLAN in allen Zimmern. Auch das Frühstück (inkl. Omelett"bar") lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Einziges Manko (aber das ist wohl laut Hotelbetreiber dem Denkmalschutz zu verschulden) ist die Isolierung. Zeitweise hört man selbst die anderen Gäste auf den anderen Etagen, auch wenn diese leise reden. Jugendliche sollten also extra leise sein :)
