Book this hotel as a flight/hotel package. It was very affordable for a post Thanksgiving trip. Location is great, close walk to town, beach is across the main road in hotel zone. Breakfast included although we only ate twice due to boring and bland options. Fresh juice and coffee included. Concierge/ front desk agent Adam, was fabulous. I highly suggest reserving a cabana (poolside, beachside) so much better and closer than the main building tucked away from the beach. I did find the beach loungers to be rather worn and in comparison to the other beach hotels Xaloc was rather tired and worn. The pool decking was a bit precarious and rotting in some places. I did notice that they were painting common areas. If you’re looking for a luxury beach club feel, I would recommend another hotel, but if you are interested in value and plan on spending time exploring the area and not a high emphasis on beach bar vibe then this is a great spot. We spent 500 pesos plus a drink minimum at several other hotels for the vibe. Very few actual beachside loungers. Overall it was a good place without the frills of the newer more upscale hotels. Would stay here again for the proximity to town and the beach. But luxury it is not. House keeping was excellent. No in room safe.
