Everything was absolutely amazing! Beautiful huts as rooms. Only thing I will mention is the water for the pool is insanely cold. Hence, it was empty most of the time.

the property met expectations. Management lead by Eva was most helpfull. By the way, she organized private transport back to Cancun airport. Excellent service at a very reasonable price. Big plus for us. congratulations Eva for the team you lead including receiptionist Adam.

The overall stay was average. The bungalow was clean throughout the stay and the included breakfast was good. There was no one at the poolside bar during the stay. Due to storms, the beach was covered in seaweed, which was only cleaned on day 3/3 for us. Overall the stay was fine but my hopes were higher for what we paid to stay (~200USD per night).

The bunglows are very nice and the property is lovely. We really enjoyed the "family" pool, which was right by our bungalow. The "adult" pool was nice, although we were disappointed that the swim up bar was not open during our stay. Adam at reception was extremely helpful and made our visit more enjoyable!

It was very hot and the air-condition was not working, Toilet not working,no bar in the pool, the worse hotel i ever be,,I give 0 plus is very Expensive, please don't go in there.

Sentimos mucho que la experiencia no haya sido de su agrado. Las temperaturas en estos meses del año son muy altas en todo el caribe mexicano y el aire acondicionado funciona mejor si mantenemos las ventanas cerradas. Con lo que respecta al baño, este no se tapa si utilizan las papeleras destinadas a este fin como le explicamos en varias ocasiones. Tal vez ustedes confundieron el concepto de hotel y el concepto de la isla de Holbox en general. Esperamos, al menos, que la decoración que hizo el camaristo para su cumpleaños con tanto amor, si fuera de su agrado. Saludos de parte de todo el equipo de Hotel Holbox By Xaloc

Even though, the island had a blacked out, the manager made the impossible to keep us comfortable. Adan, the concierge, is the best, he gave us amazing recommendations and helped us to make our stayed unforgetable. Thank you to all the staff.

Beautiful property. Friendly Staff.
Booked oceanfront king bed. Room isn’t ocean front since there is a long courtyard then a street then the beach then the ocean so you do not see ocean from your room. Its a pool side room. Property is very nice. Area is very noisy since rooms are next to street and the windows do not close so you clearly hear anyone walking, talking or driving by. Room did have AC unit but room was still very hot since windows do not completely close. We had to sleep naked and shower in the middle of the night. Free breakfast was terrible. Lunch and dinner options were delicious. Staff very friendly. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Bring bug spray!!!!! Mosquitos are out of control on Isla Holbox.

Book this hotel as a flight/hotel package. It was very affordable for a post Thanksgiving trip. Location is great, close walk to town, beach is across the main road in hotel zone. Breakfast included although we only ate twice due to boring and bland options. Fresh juice and coffee included. Concierge/ front desk agent Adam, was fabulous. I highly suggest reserving a cabana (poolside,beachside) so much better and closer than the main building tucked away from the beach. I did find the beach loungers to be rather worn and in comparison to the other beach hotels Xaloc was rather tired and worn. The pool decking was a bit precarious and rotting in some places. I did notice that they were painting common areas. If you’re looking for a luxury beach club feel, I would recommend another hotel, but if you are interested in value and plan on spending time exploring the area and not a high emphasis on beach bar vibe then this is a great spot. We spent 500 pesos plus a drink minimum at several other hotels for the vibe. Very few actual beachside loungers. Overall it was a good place without the frills of the newer more upscale hotels. Would stay here again for the proximity to town and the beach. But luxury it is not. House keeping was excellent. No in room safe.

The property is amazing. We walked along the shallow water for miles each morning and laid around in the warm water. Staff was very friendly. Service was excellent. We are definitely coming back soon.

Online it says check-in ends at 10. We had car trouble on the way to the ferry so we were going to be close to the 10pm deadline. When i called at 9:30 from the ferry they said check-in was already closed and i could come back tomorrow. It was the last ferry so we weren't able to get back to our car. After talking with the receptionist several times they ended up agreeing to leave a key so we could get into our room when we arrived. Overall everything ended up working out but it was very stressful.

The people were very kind and the room was clean. But other then that..I would not recommend staying here. The beds are as hard as wooded boards. The toilet seat was broken. Lights did not work in room and the pools were not clean. I was very disappointed for such a highly rated hotel. Very disappointed overall

The property itself was nice, was I was dissatisfied was the lack of entertainment to be, an adults only hotel. Bar was closed and the beach lounge area looked isolated. Room was clean and bed were clean and comfortable; however, the toilet didn’t flush well.

Cute place with scenic views with a lot of potential, except upon arrival they did not have the amenities shown online. I specifically wanted a place with restaurants/bars that they advertised and they had neither…. So paying that price for just a room was disappointing.

I loved the Island very beautiful. My room was very nice except for the beds and the AC. Bed was super firm and the AC didn’t get the room cold. The food was amazing I tried different places and they were all good.

Horrible. False advertisement and what was stated as "have" was not fully available. We did not get the room we spent more money on to get, could not swim in the pool because it was filthy, pool bar was not available to use. Ended up leaving day 1.

On our first night they gave us a 2 bed room, we had booked a king bed. They told me that they couldn’t change the room till the next day. The bathroom didn’t work well either. The next morning they gave us a different room after someone else had checked out. Great location

I booked 2 rooms for 1 night at hollbox and we arrived at 9 pm . Left our luggage and went for dinner right away. We went back to our rooms at midnight just to find out our room wasnt prepared in the sense that pillows has no pillow cases covers, very dusty , no soap and shampoo available and to find out that the shower was clogged up , it was flooded after we took the shower. I tried to call the front desk as there was no one around at midnight and shockingly the phone wasnt working.So we didnt really get a goodnight sleep. I complaint the next day to the manager and he took pics the clogged shower , uncovered pillows , showed him no soap and shampoo and the dusty rooms etc etc. He just advised us to file complain with expedia. It was such a bad experience and terrible customer service !!!
