Clean and comfy hotel.. polite and lovely staff
The lovely small hotel not far off motorway. Older style but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a good selection and fresh. Would recommend and would stay again. Sadly restaurant was not open but reception provided the name of one 5 mins drive away which was very tasty 😋.

Contrario do que nos era informado quando alugamos o hotel, ele fica ha quase 30 km de Firense. HOtel simples mas confortavel apenas muito longe de Firense. Nao me hospedaria de novo por esse motivo. Pequeno almoço simples de mais sem nenhum atrativo tambem.

The rooms were fine and beds comfortable. Only thing that could be improved is the lights in room as they are dim and comfortable but make it hard to read. Another minor shortcoming is that there is only one outlet next to the bed for the lamp however users of a cpap breathing machine now have to choose between light or breathing machine power. The personel was very friendly and helpful. Great location at edge of village bu needs better direction sign for drive up as google sends drivers to a road that medium cars cant drive through. will stay the again if in area

We arrived late evening and Nicor was very helpfull on all our requests we had a great and very attentive meal the room was in a traditional Tuscany style clean and spacious,a bit more light would have helped,one small comment the mattress & cushions were too rigid to our taste (we are not very fond of Orthopedic beds) a great breakfast,overall an hidden Gem

I won’t stay here ever again.
It should be classified as an inn rather than a hotel. Firstly rooms and facilities are very run down. Aircon doesn’t work on a summer season. We turned it on for several hours and it’s still not cold. Asked the staff and he told us it’s bcos we keep opening the day. If not for the countryside feel, for the price I paid, I could get a beta hotel.

Characterful Old Tuscan Villa
The hotel was a wonderful old Tuscan villa building near Florence, with big wooden beams, and a tile roof. It sits in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open when we visited (in late Winter), but the staff were able to direct us to a nearby restaurant which was excellent. The internet in the hotel worked well, and the staff were quite helpful (and spoke excellent english)

Nice and cozy
I was traveling from Rome to Florence in the beginning of May, 2017. We chose Hotel Tenuta Il Burchio and I am very glad we did. It was very close to the outlet mall, restaurant on-site was great for both breakfast and dinner, the surroundings are beautiful too, and of course the most important was great customer service: made us feel comfortable and safe.

Lovely location with great views.
A lovely location and interesting rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely restaurant with very nice food. Selections for breakfast were extensive. Off the beaten path but convenient to the motorway and a nice stop between the rome airport and florence. Keep in mind that the steps up to some of the rooms are pretty steep so if you have a problem with stairs this may not be for you.

Hotel was decent, but no vibe and hotel staff looked bored / not too welcoming or helpful. Website showed horses but not really anything going on with horses there when asked. Room was at a fair price if you want to just stop somewhere on your way around tuscany or go shop at outlet.

A stay in the countryside near the A1
The hotel is a short - if slightly complicated - drive from the AI, but a world apart in atmosphere, set in the countryside on the fringe of a small town. We were there solely as an overnight stay, but other guests had been hiking. The older buildings have plenty of atmosphere, but lack some modern amenities. The WIFI connection was poor.Getting to one's room involves taking the luggage up a steep set of outside stairs. The room we were given was very small, making it a challenge to get organized. The hotel restaurant offers Tuscan specialties and is fabulous. We had our best meal in Italy.

Authentic Tuscan Boutique hotel
Excellent location just 10 minutes off main highway in town of burchio. A few minutes from a small town and some outlet clothing shops, restaurants and bars. Supper served at onsite restaurant was one of the best gourmet meals we ate in Italy. Fresh food and good wine. Quiet hillside location with views parking. Very authentically tuscan designed boutique hotel with a family run atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Good for couples and families. Excellent stay location day trips into Tuscany region and up to Florence.

Special hotel with an obvious attention to detail
Great service at this family run hotel. We enjoyed an evening swim, followed by a wonderful dinner in the courtyard, characterful room, well stocked "all you can eat" breakfast, and a relaxing morning by the swimming pool at the Il Burchio. Would love to return for a longer stay sometime. This hotel is a special place with a lot of attention to detail. We had a great stay here - Well done!

It was secluded and quiet.
One night hot water was not working and we had to wait until morning for staff to arrive. They were apologetic but we were inconvenienced by the fact there is no one on sight for emergencies.

Room looked even better than the website photos (a rarity) Great breakfast. We found our way on the bus. Note * on Sundays bus service is meager. Once we were there our options were stroll along the country road past the hotel (grapes, figs, and other fruit trees along the way) and eat at the only restaurant in town (everything incl. pasta is made inhouse according to the owner) . The hotel restaurant is closed on Sundays. Hotel owner very helpful.

Amazing quiet retreat
Great hotel and staff! Very clean. The food is excellent. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's in a quiet town outside of Florence. Perfect for a day trip into the city while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside!

Good place remote from the larger cities
For people who prefer staying outside of larger cities, this is an interesting option. The hotel is well maintained and staff is friendly. The breakfast is included and the variety is ok. Everything is fresh and you can have nice capuccinos. It is located in an area where you will mix with locals. A train station is very close. It takes you to Florence within 40 minutes. You can easily decide to visit the Chianti region which is quite close too. All in all, it is a nice hotel with all the facilities you need. I would not have stayed a week there because the area is quiet but 3 days were just ok.

Quiet and comfortable stay
A very nice place to stay. Florence was our main goal in this area and this hotel was located perfectly. The train station is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. The train leaves at least every hour from Incisa to Florence, takes about 40 minutes, and take you back from Florence about every hour. In other words; it is easy to do a day trip to Florence. The breakfast was nice and the staff helpful.

THE LOCATION WITH OR WITH OUT A CAR IS SUPER IF YOU WANT THE QUIET BEAUTY OF TUSCANY, AND, YET, A 20 MINUTE TRAIN RIDE TO FLORENCE, WITH FREE PARKING AT THE LOCAL STATION. BUSSES RUN- A VERY SHORT WALK FROM THE HOTEL. DRIVING TO THE VINEYARDS, LUCCA - PISA, SENNA ARE ALL EASY AND CLOSE. WE VISITED ITALY FOR 2+ WEEKS DRIVING. perfect location for tuscan fun!
This is a gem. Great location, 20 min from Florence by train, Pisa, Sena, Chianti areas were easy 30 min. to one hour drives. Set on a hill, with a beautiful view, the grounds and villa are lovely. we were not there in season, so the restaurant and bar were closed. This was no problem, with a wonderful little tracadaro a short walk, and Medichi in town. The staff were all terrific, friendly and helpful. All spoke great english. the room was large and comfortable. The bath had a super shower. everything, everywhere was clean and well decorated. breakfast and the cappuccino ... SUPER! We can not wait to return!

Nice home base to Florence , Siena and Tuscany
Family owned outside Florence and tucked away in the little town of Burchio. We stayed two nights 2 rooms two couples drove from Pisa then ventured to Florence and Siena. Had a super afternoon large meal at a restaurant on the hillside with a breathtaking view. The hotel is nice rooms a little small by American standards but very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and free breakfast was more than enough. We all agreed we would return but for 4-5 days the next time.

The hotel was nice and the location was fairly easy to get to from the highway. The dinner was great, good wine and the staff was friendly. The handle on our bathroom door was broken and we couldn't get in. Luckily someone was on hand to fix it quickly.

We stayed in the Tenuta Il Burchio for two nights in September as part of a driving tour of Tuscany. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean and breakfast was a delight with a good selection of food and drinks to choose from. The highlight of our stay was an evening meal in their restaurant. Although the choice was small, we had a fantastic Florentine Steak and were able to select a good local wine to wash it down. There is a railway station a short drive away with free parking and from where we traveled into Florence. A much better option than driving into the City!

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's family owned and run and located in beautiful Tuscany. The staff are very cordial and helpful, the place has a great breakfast (comliamentary) and an on-site restaurant for dinner. We ate there all three nights and loved the food every time. The location is pretty conveneint to Florence. We took a taxi from Florence's S.M.N. train station for about 65 euro there (and then back again) and paid for a private tour of wine country (the staff arranged it) and it ended up being about the same cost as renting a mid-sized car for the duration of our stay there. So it is possible to stay at this hotel (or in the area) without renting a car. If you rent a car, get good directions or a navigational device to find the place easily, the winding country roads seem confusing. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone.

Our Holiday's Tuscan Villa
We were driving through Italy and wanted to stay somewhere that was easy to get to by car, and which was central to Florence, Pisa and the wineries in Chianti. Hotel Tenuta Il Burchio was the perfect place. The staff were friendly, the room was very spacious and had a new bathroom. The restaurant downstairs is lovely and has wonderful food, although is a little bit pricey if you're travelling on a family budget. The breakfast was large and varied and was plenty for the people staying there. We drove down to the train station in Incisa, and from there it took us 40 minutes to get into the central train station in Florence. Pisa is an hour and a half away, and we drove through Chianti and stopped at a couple of wineries on our way home. The pool behind the breakfast room was a great way to relax in the afternoon after a full day of sightseeing. Could not recommend it enough.

Hotel half an hour south of Florence
This 3 star hotel was ideal for a five day break staying in the florentine region of tuscany. It is located 5 mins off the main autostrada but is a little tricky to find. The sat nav was invaluable in helping us find the hotel which is tucked away at the back of a small housing estate, running into the countryside. A very quiet area and no traffic so perfect for peace and quiet. The hotel is basically kitted out with traditional furniture. It has a great restaurant serving traditional tuscan food-delicious and genenerous portions. Sadly it is not open on sundays! The pool is perfect with plenty of seating around it and this backs onto the area where breakfast is taken and this too has outside eating arrangements. Great when the sun is shining. Only thing missing was a bar but you are able to purchase drinks and wines of course from the dining room. The owners offer a great service and are all very friendly. .

We got a little bit of tuscany while visiting the city (Florence).....we loved it! And we were extremely thankful for one of the receptionists who showed us a faster way of getting to the city otherwise we were going to leave. We intended to go into the city everyday and a 2 hour commute was a little too much for our honeymoon :) She saved us and found a train that would get us there in 20 mins!!!! Wonderful free breakfast in the morning and super nice and helpful owner!!!

Overall, we are satisfied with our stay in this hotel. It is a family owned hotel; everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is updated and clean. There is swimming pool which is clean as well. You have to try having dinner at the hotel restaurant because they have very good food. Try the Fiorentine T-Bone steak! If you are coming using GPS navigation system, you probably can find the address easily as it is not listed. It is not difficult to find as it is located in the small town.

Amazing hotel with breathtaking views of Tuscany
We had an absolutely amazing time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There were families, young couples, and older couples at the hotel so it's a great fit for any visitor. The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious and they had a good wine selection. Very good location as well- Florence, Sienna, Pisa, and San Gimginano are all within driving distance. After a long day of sightseeing it was great to go back to the hotel and relax by the pool and in the lounge. Rooms and facilities are very clean. Highly recommend Hotel Tenuta!!!
