Hotel is nice. Amazing location right on the dunes. Food provision and pools are excellent and the staff were great. Lots of the rooms overlook the entertainment area which make it very noisy until 10.30pm but the hotel were good about moving us to a quieter room. A few things need updating a little, the decor is a bit tired in places and a few broken sunbeds etc but on the whole it was a great place for a family holiday.

Not winter all inclusive hotel
Busy hotel with a small pool and limited facilities. There is no hot pool available in winter. If your flight is in the evening, you can't use the all-inclusive facilities after check-out. There is no towel service at the main pool; you have to go to the busy main reception to request a towel, which takes 20 minutes. Limited food options for vegetarians; all main dishes include meat, and the choices for vegetarians remain the same every day. The snack bar offers a limited selection, with options like burgers, sausages, and nuggets available all day. Good points; Animations and kids' parties were excellent, and the cleaning service was good.

Great family resort
Kids had a blast! Resort ticked all the boxes and the splash park , pools and animation kept them well entertain. Great location too with a meer 5 minute walk you are on the dunes. However beware of walking direct to sea as you'll find yourself in the middle of a nudist beach. Walk along the boardwalk until you get to the hard rock café.

Great hotel, certain things could be improved, too much pork on the all inclusive menu, somedays only pork and fish! More chicken please as most people eat that! The gym area was a joke, no air con and half the equipment was out of service! The room near the pool are very noisy, but the quieter rooms away from the pool were perfect.

Nice location, helpful staff . Pls avoid this property if you are vegetarian as not much options. The dinner Chef tried to help and hence we had something to eat however the breakfast and lunch chef simply denied to make anything for vegetarian. Salad, fruits and sweets are mostly the option for vegetarians which I am sure no one can eat everyday. Fabulous options for Non- vegetarians. 3 swimming pool.The Air condition in the room doesn’t work properly and hence had few sleepless nights when it was above 30 degree.

Fab 3nite stay
Hotel service was fab from start to finish of our 3 nite stay. Food was great a little cold at times but that would be due to us being late mostly 😄 great selection tho and beers wines etc was just class. We were lucky to get an upgrade on arrival with a pool view. Entertainment at the pool and at nite was great craic. Fabulous singer on monday nite past she could sing anything had my daccing on my balcony while getting ready for out in the town.

Overall our stay was ok. The rooms had been updated but there were areas that needed some attention (ex. Pool, some lounge chairs). The ceiling in our room had some water damage and it looked like mould/mild dew had started to grow. We had ants on our garden patio. We found cockroaches near the end of our stay. The cleaning ladies didn’t come until late afternoon and didn’t take dishes (not something they do). Everyone was nice but customer service and going above and beyond was not something

Amazing
Hotel was spotless with staff constantly cleaning. Staff were amazing and nothing was a problem. The room we had was a delux view no 549 on top floor and the view was breathtaking. We did all inclusive and cannot find fault with any of the food. Good selection. Wine and beer on tap. You are just about ten minutes from the dunes which are amazing. Great Hotel and great staff. Pools and water slides were great, unfortunately not heated, so meant adults didn't want to spend too long in, but children didn't seem to mind. Great family resort
Great family resort most suitable for people with young children. If you want quiet need to request a room furthest from pool area. This does entail a long walk to main reception and dining areas. Food at buffet was adequate and met expectations for an all-inclusive 4-star hotel. The coffee and tea from the machine was terrible. Additional charges for a decent cup of coffee at the bar or to activate the in-room safe was not acceptable, something we have not encountered in similar properties Two nights of entertainment were of a high standard and one night below standard. Would not recommend this hotel for people without children.

Perfect for families with young children
This all-inclusive hotel is fabulous for families, not ideal for adults or a romantic get-away. Rooms are very spacious, well-equipped and nicely decorated. Service was very friendly. The location is very good for walking to the Masapalomas Dunes and Yumbo Shopping Centre. The food was decent and there was quite a good selection, though not always served hot. The shower had very low water pressure and changed from very hot to cold but maybe because my room was on the 5th floor (that's one way to conserve water!) There were so many families and noisy children running around the dining room that it was difficult to have a conversation. At the pool, it was impossible to find an empty chaise unless you left towels there early in the morning. Our biggest complaint were the unexpected extra charges. Never in our very well-travelled lives, have we been asked to pay for the use of the room safe - 2 EUR per day. The coffee in the dining room was undrinkable, whichever one you chose in the machine, and for "real" coffee at the bar, there was a charge. (So instead we went to cafes outside the resort). The mixed cocktails were ridiculously sweet and also undrinkable. Wines on tap were not good and all other drinks were considered premium, including cava, for an extra cost. Overall, I recommend it for families with young kids. They will love the kids' club, pools, playground and shows in the evenings.

Good hotel, staff were all very nice. We had a garden room which in our view wasn't worth the upgrade cost but that was a personal view. Bar and catering staff very nice but the buffet wasn't great, there didn't seem to be a lot of variety between the days, food didn't seem to be renewed quickly enough leading to gaps and queues

Our family stay here was pretty great, however some issues appeared. Pros: Great animation team&program, really kudos to all of them, they do amazing job! Stunning WiFi coverage although with 10/10 Mbps limit per device (always got that speed). All staff were extremely nice. Checked-in even a while before 2 PM. Sparkling clean. Great location close to the Dunes and nice design of the hotel. Adequate meal variety, good quantity/availability of foods. Excellent value for money! Cons: BEDS! Although they tied the single beds together upon request, they are very light and with wheels so they move all the time - but the worst thing is they are way too soft. We woke broken every morning. Balconies are not safe for small kids and a locked room is easily unlocked by 2y.o. (They gave us a wristband to write phone no. at least; there are only few CCTV cameras.) One type of glasses in the restaurant is usually dirty. Pizza is quite terrible. Drinks are too sweet/sugary. Beer is average (Amstel). Coffee is poor but drinkable. Children’s playing room only available 2h/day. The playgroynd could have more lights for the evenings. Some places could be arranged with more children safety in focus. We asked for a quieter room but got one above the main pool with the stage visible, so that didn’t really work. Actually, there are very little “quiet” rooms - expect music all day. Not a good choice if you need to do some work (no good sitting in rooms). Still we were very satisfied.

A bit disappointing
I want to first say that the entertainment and cleaning staff did a great job. They were friendly and always around to make our stay pleasant. If there were a separate rating for the entertainment staff, I would give them the highest rating possible. In fact, I felt a bit sorry for them, as they were the same staff from morning through midnight. The same energetic group of young people got us motivated and exercised throughout the day, took care of our son during “kids time” and after-dinner “kids disco,” and even put on a nightly show. Yes, they earned every penny the hotel paid them. Unfortunately, I got the vibe that the ownership just wanted to squeeze every penny they could out of us and their staff. Though we were at an all-inclusive hotel, the nickel-and-dime vibe started at check-in when we were informed that there was a small fee each time we exchanged our pool towel. While this could certainly be forgiven as an eco-friendly reminder not to waste water, the daily fee for use of the room safe could not. Likewise, the additional charge for ice cream and popcorn prominently displayed for kids to see (and desire) was disappointing, as was the additional cost for a proper cappuccino. Coffee aficionados would be disappointed, as the only non-fee options were filtered coffee (which was fine) at breakfast (not available at lunch or dinner) and the extremely dated self-serve machines that spewed bland powdered warm drinks throughout the day. Could go on, but no room.

The room, its view, the weather and the food were all good to great. The vast majority of the Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient, with the exception of the "senior manager" who thinks barking "you have to pay for that" is good practice when one hasn't been there long and doesn't yet know that "all-inclusive" is a "flexible" term. Note that this hotel is now firmly "Family with Children" oriented (for example tennis courts were removed for yet another playground) and while you won't find tranquility, rip roaring or sophistication it is still good to very good.

A little disappointed
Having stayed at this hotel for the past 15 years pre Covid we we’re always happy. Sadly this has become a hotel aimed at families - Once you were able to sit in the quieter areas of the gardens to avoid the pool area where it was very lively. Now all the seats have been moved to only the pool areas where it has loud music playing all day and screaming children and entertained staff. Plus many of the sun loungers and parasols are broken. So where do we go? The food and the rooms are still of a high standard and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. However after 15 years at your hotel we will no longer return as you obviously want a different audience to couples. Very sad for us as always loved your hotel.

Would go back. Nice facilities, in a good location, spacious room. Food was very good. Premium drinks. Staff were brilliant. Animation team were wonderful with the kids.

A happy holiday
It was a lovely stay for the week. Food choice was varied and was nice, particularly the breakfasts. Disappointing only ice cream for the kids at lunch and dinner. Would be great to be able to have that during the day. Pool snack bar is okay. Food can be sitting for a while. Good location, good maid service and helpful staff. Showers aren’t great- they sent a technician but it was either too hot or too cold. Not great for the kids. I would visit another of these hotels but glad I booked through hotels.com and not as a package. I would have been disappointed for the package price for a week.

Highly recommended!
We had a very pleasant stay at Abora Catarina (26. March to 07. April). Everything was clean and in good order. The staff was friendly, smiling and helpful. We have already booked two more weeks in the autumn!

All in all, a great place to stay. Only one negative: There was building work going on, with noisy drilling. Occasionally turned a haven of peace into something else. Ok, it's a 24/7, 365-days hotel, so there's not much that can be done about that, of course. Gotta happen sometime! :)

Deluxe double room with a view excellent worth paying a bit extra. Stuff very friendly, food very good. Ana at the reception very helpful. Will definitely stay again.
