It is impossible to find the appartment without GPS or the agent meeting you at easy find place and walk you to the appartment. Street has no streen signs, no building number, and, obviously, no name of the apprtment at the building.
Finally, after 0,5 hour of telephone calls and almost $100 roaming charges on my other-country cell - we are inside the appartment. It has no windows to open street, all windows facing very small well-type space, providing no proper day-time light or fresh air.
Air conditioning system worked during day time and ....automatically switched off at night, so we were dieing from the heat.
Finally, we had drunk neigbours, parting all nights, it did not support our sleeping at al
Pros: Location, locations, locations.... Absolutely perfect locations. Good conditions, modern design and furniture, convinient kitchen-ware
Finally Pros leveraged Cons and we had reasonable, acceptable stay.

Clean room, good breakfast buffet, excellent WiFi signal throughout, Gym is very basic but adequate, Staff is nice but could be a little friendlier. Only 2 English channels are news channels...rest in Spanish.
We arrived in Barcelona via the Aerobus which stops at the Plaza Catalunya. The hotel is located just a few steps from the bus stop. It is also across from the tour buses at the end of Las Ramblas. The hotel is of modern décor and the room was very comfortable. A wonderful buffet breakfast is available in the morming. Staff was very friendly and we had no trouble with our late arrival.
We booked the Royal Ramblas for a two night stay in October, without ever having been to Barcelona. We couldn't have made a better choice! Beautiful boutique hotel, located on the renowned ‘Las Ramblas’, a block away from Barcelona’s Placa Catalunya and metro system, it’s literally just minutes from their famous market, Gothic quarter, and Placa Reial, with numerous restaurants and bars. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. Our very modern room, which overlooked Las Ramblas, had beautiful big windows, which actually opened, and a very comfortable king size bed. It had everything, and more that one could need, unless you are from North America… as in Spain they don’t seem to use or provide facecloths! We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Furniture is new, modern and simple. We stayed in room 6 on the ground floor but it was still very quiet. Location was perfect to catch the metro anywhere in the city. Hop on bus about 2 blocks away in the plaza. Wifi was decent but got sliw at peak times. AC in room was awesome, we even had to turn it down! Shower was one of the best we had in our 3 months in Europe. We stowed our bags for a few hours after checkout and the receptionist was very helpful in helping us print off tickets and directions to the metro, train and bus stations. We will return!
