"Tucked into the theatre district, St. James is a lovely home base. The location couldn't be better--close to theatres, shopping, and restaurants. Like most NYC hotels, the rooms/hallways are not spacious--but it's not cramped. The building is at least 100 years old, but well maintained. The downstairs library area is a comfortable space to wait for rides or meet up. The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind."
"Sheet cover had small stain and a strand of hair found in the sheets. Quickly sorted but no a good start. Apart from that no issues. Good central location. Homeless and others are around but no problem. Just leads to the atmosphere. Not under the control of the hotel."
"Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is absolutely top notch.
My only complaints are about the gym. Some of the equipment is in disrepair."
