We cannot understand the meaning of your review. Practically your review means that you have booked without reading a single feature of the accommodation and the conditions of the Hotel that you were booking. If you had been careful to read all the clearly specified details instead of just stopping at the super offer price you grabbed, you wouldn't have been disappointed. We accept constructive criticism but this complaint is attributable only to your fault and no one else's!You've booked a studio apartment in the annex in the building next door (it's written right in the name of the accommodation you've chosen..."Standard Apartment in the ANNEX"...we can't get any clearer than that!) and it measures about 28 square meters. Do you call small it ? It is a very large size for an accommodation in the historic center of Florence, and all the more so for a 2 star Hotel. Among other things, complete with equipped kitchen and table with chairs.We don't force anyone, on the contrary, we have reminded you about something that you should have already known because it is clearly indicated and that is that check-in is possible until 10.30 pm because the reception closes after a while, as clearly indicated online before confirming...and you didn't read this either! Yes, we are a Hotel with a capital H, a Hotel that all Guests appreciate for our warm and hospitality. We are a 2-star Hotel and for law, we have obligation of 12 hours a day, not 24 hours. But we actually do many more, 18-19 hours a day, so we offer a service far superior to our category.You complain about the characteristics of the building which is a 400 year old building in the heart of the Historic Center of Florence, above the remains of the Roman amphitheater and next door to the house where Michelangelo grew up.Next time, read carefully the characteristics of the accommodation you are booking instead of criticizing the honest work of others unnecessarily just for your mistake and your negligence.

Good morning Sara, we are pleased that you appreciated the service of our staff but we cannot understand these heavy words about our property which is a historic building of over 500 years in the heart of the Historic Center of Florence, completely renovated both in the rooms and in the bathrooms and common areas and all spaces have been optimized to take advantage of every corner.The shower cubicle in the room in which you staied is not very large but is made up of a standard 80x70 centimetres shower tray and also all the measures in square meters and the characteristics of the entire room, bathrooms and realistic photos are clearly published online, so we cannot understand this your amazement.We are really sorry not to have satisfied you further but we cannot understand what you expected more and we believe we don't deserve such a disparaging vote.Regards, StaffHotel Santa Croce

We are opened to any kind of criticism but, just for clarification, we remind you that we have both rooms and apartments and you have chosen and booked a 28 square meters studio apartment, a very large space, especially for the historic center of Florence (we are literally 2 steps from the Uffizi Gallery and all the main sites to visit ). We don't know what measures you are used to or expected to find (since they are clearly stated in the online description as well as a realistic photo gallery of both the apartment and the bathroom!) but if you say that 28 square meters studio in the heart of Historical Centre of Florence is a small size...it's really out of place, specially in a 2 stars Hotel. You probably didn't realize our category and are used to completely different canons.And we just can't understand what you mean by spartan since it is a completely renovated apartment but keeping the classic standards, being in a stodic building of the 1.300s.You could have shown this your discontent here and we would have considered together what to do to satisfy you. Instead of criticizing and denigrating the honest work of others, be careful when you book since you are convinced to book a 3, 4 star hotel while in reality you have booked a 2 star hotel, as clearly specified everywhere. So be careful next time, to avoid accusing others who are not at fault but only for your mistake and for your distraction. We are a very appreciated 2-star hotel in Florence and most of our Guests consider us to be of a superior category (as demonstrated by the thousands of highly positive reviews), but if you don't even know what you are booking, it's obvious that you will never be satisfied.

Just for clarification, we remind you that you need to pay more attention during the booking process as all the details of the rooms and the structure are clearly specified. You have booked a single room with a single bed and we have offered you a double room with a double bed for the same price and you talk about small rooms despite the square meters and all other features are clearly indicated before confirming the booking. We can't understand what kind of space you were expecting.
