I wasn’t happy when I removed the pillows from my bed and there was a bug crawling around on the bed! Also when my husband turned the ceiling fan off it was filthy. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year! The lighting in the room is HORRIBLE for a woman trying to put on makeup. Motels aren’t just for men you know. My biggest complaint is the old (dirty) toilet that was SO low I had to hold onto the door handles and pull myself up!!!! My husband is a very fit man and even he had trouble getting up off it. We couldn’t believe how low the it was! My gosh people, spend $200 and put a damn toilet in that EVERY person can use! I won’t be using this motel again, that’s for sure!!

There was a group of us staying at the hotel hauling disaster trailers down to Florida. We needed to be up and out by 5:30 am. We mentioned this to the clerk and when my husband and I went down at 4:45 breakfast was all set up and ready! We were all very thankful and impressed! The rooms were clean and the beds were great. I slept well! The boys stated they usually stop there when they have to head to FL and I can see why. It was only my second trip with them, my first to FL. Thank you!

Room was clean. Rate was good. They advertised breakfast until 9am, however we went down at 8:45am and they already put away a lot of the items which was unfortunate. For the price you pay, they really should honor the breakfast window if they advertise it at check-in.

Racial oriented staff at night. Canceled several of our groups rooms and tried to make them rebook at a higher per night cost.

We are sorry you feel this way, because we are NOT racial oriented! The reservations canceled were due to invalid credit cards in which case we cannot hold rooms (especially when there is a high demand for rooms)

This hotel was awesome the best Best Western I've stayed in in my 30 years of traveling my room was excellent i had to drive about 30 minutes to get to it from an event I was attending in Atmore Alabama but it was worth the drive could of had a little more shopping in the area but other than that the overall rating for the hotel itself was 5 stars great job Best Western on this one thanks again JJ

Overnight get away…
Very surprised by this motel (not hotel) I rarely stay in a motel anymore, but I felt completely safe. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was typical & very good. Check in and check out went very smooth and the staff was very friendly. We stayed here to see the to kill a mockingbird play downtown. It was not within walking distance but it was a very short drive.

Very clean comfortable room and beds in an older motel. Night clerk could not assist us with missing tv remote. Breakfast needed plain scrambled eggs and berries!

This is the best place to stay while in Monroeville. I've stayed at 3 of the other Inns in town and the Best Western is definitely the best. Very comfortable bed and the internet did work; although, my son was not able to connect from his cell phone. I was able to connect via our laptop.

The exterior of the hotel appeared clean and well maintained. However the bathroom caulk and grout was dirty around the edges. Only one of the three bath towels looked fresh and clean. One had green a green leafy substance on it and another bath towel looked like it had be left on the shelf by the last guest. There was also some hair on the top of the toilet seat.
