Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Expedia had said the restaurant was closed but it was actually open and was giving out old information. Good idea to check directly with hotel.

Really helpful staff Great choices for breakfast conveniently located to get to East London and Lakeside Shopping A bit of road noise but heavy drapes shut most of it out.

Not too happy
When I booked I was shown a picture of a room with a nice bath tub and on the listing on hotel.com it also said shower and bath tub in the room but the room only had a shower which was very disappointing, the room was freezing cold with no option to turn the heating on or off so I asked reception how do I get heating and the guy said it would be turning on in an hour which would have been 1am. The room didn’t warm up when I tried to sort this all out the next day the person I needed to speak to wasn’t there and I was also told only junior suites have bath tubs so it was falsely advertised but I didn’t get a refund. Normally I wouldn’t complain but I wanted to soak in the bath tub after a hard week and that was my reason for booking this particular hotel, the room was big and there was an odd banging noise every half hour, as I said not one to complain but this time I was disappointed.

Parking was a nightmare. The room was very tatty with marks on the carpet and the bath panel was hanging off. Redeeming factors were a great shower, location close to shopping centre abd a wonderful breakfast.

Called out maintenance 3 times as bath flooded bathroom when used. Unable to change temperature on shower. Shower plug hole blocked and tray filled up to brim with water. This was in a room which I paid £150 for the night!!

Great hotel
Nice hotel, conveniently located just off the M25 at Thurrock/Lakeside. Nice, clean en-suite rooms, with Wi-Fi included. Plenty of parking available, a good selection of breakfast is available at a reasonable price. The restaurant also serves evening meals and there is a nice bar. Lakeside shopping is a short walk/drive away as is Chafford Hundred Rail Station, which provides frequent trains to London or Southend. A great hotel at a great price - I always stay here when visiting London or Lakeside.

Not so impressed to be honest. Expected a bigger bed to start with. Got only 3 small beds for 2 adult and a 14 year old child in whst is supposed to be a family sized bedroom. Had mosquitoes bitting my kids all through our stay.

Multiple vehicle break ins, AVOID!!!
I stayed in Executive Suite Room 147, the room itself was nice but was filled with mosquitoes!! The ceiling and walls were already covered with squatted mosquitoes and I added to them but was still bitten in the night In the morning I went out to my Pick-up to find the back had been broken into and £1000s worth of tools and equipment had been stolen. Two other vans had been broken into the same evening as well. The reception mentioned it has happened previously and on a regular basis!! AVOID this hotel like the plague if you’re in a commercial vehicle with expensive kit in the back. There was evidence of other break ins littering the car park, lock assemblies, broken locks etc, it’s clearly a hot spot for break ins

My short stay (2 nights)
The limited staff were friendly but had difficulty speaking to someone at reception as not available, off doing other functions. Had to change room twice due to lack of basic amenities. Rooms clean, tidy & spacious bed comfortable. There was a party with loud music that finished around 23:30 but was told it should finish around 22:00 - I was offered another move but declined.

The property was a bit rambling with plenty stairs but no lifts so with arthritis in my knees was a bit of a struggle but once in the room the facility were great Plenty hot water and a great bath
