From home to home
Great guest house. So cosy and comfortable,just like being at home. Nothing was to much trouble, breakfast was superb and added bonus of the guest house being dog friendly. Lovely touches added with the tea,coffee & biscuits. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting

Picked this lovely seaside hotel to see a show at the local theatre. It delivered everything thing you could ask for: Good old fashioned hospitality, warm welcome from a lovely landlady, fabulous comfy bed and a tastefully decorated room. Spotlessly clean and plenty of tea/coffee bits. The breakfast served in a typical small seaside hotel was superb. Plenty of choice and beautifully cooked and presented. The hotel looks a tad old fashioned from the outside but don't be put off. The heart is in the inside and the warm welcome you will receive. Loved it!

Lovely friendly hotel in great location
A wonderful overnight stay at this little gem in the heart of Clacton. Easy walk to everything needed locally including the beach. Wonderful hosts couldn't do enough for you and fantastic breakfast. Clean and tidy room with lots of nice touches to make you feel welcome. Would highly recommend.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE & ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
Carol & Peter, their staff, are wonderful hosts. Their attention to every detail is exemplary. This is one of my very best stays ever!! Breakfasts are a magnificent feast! With a superbly cooked breakfast, vast choice of cereals, fresh fruit of the season, assorted fruit juices, yoghurts, toast-a-plenty, to quality teas & coffee. Also a gift of assorted choice of Muffins. Rooms are fastidiously clean, very well appointed! Lovely soft towels that dry you so well, also luxurious bedding. Quality choice of assorted items on hospitality tray in your room, including Fairtrade Chocolate Bar too. Free parking. Very close to the seafront, shops and local bus routes. Thoroughly deserved first class reviews. The Chudleigh is the best of the very, very best!! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, much appreciated. Thank you Carol and Peter.

2 night family break.
Had a lovely 2 night family break. Cant fault the hotel. Great from check in to check out. Room spacious and clean with tea/coffee facilities as well as biscuits & complimentary water in the room. Amazing breakfast with lots of choice. Owner was so welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning. Great location also to beach etc.

Service and Hospitality Second to None
I was sceptical of a guest house being so highly rated, but all the reviews have been spot on! The hosts were so hospitable and the room was lovely. The breakfast was the best I've had in years, so it's safe to say that I'll be staying again when I'm next in Clacton.

I went to my friends wedding in Clacton so stayed at this hotel. I am so glad I did as the staff and owners were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Also we had a excellent breakfast. Made a good choice and will go there again. 5 stars

Excellent stay, welcoming and very clean!
Carol was incredibly welcoming and it felt a friendly atmosphere. Our dog felt very at home and the room was very clean. The breakfast was also very good. Location is by the seafront with free parking. Overall an excellent stay and would highly recommend...if visiting Clacton.

Wonderful couple run this B&B. Spotlessly clean, extra amenities and a warm welcome by both. While it is not “modern” by todays standards it is a fabulous gem that shows the pride that they take opening their home to all. The owners have to be in their 70-80’s, do this because it is a labor of love, and it shows. Highly recommend.

A gem of a little hotel
A lovely little Hotel run by a husband and wife team. Bed linen was super soft and the bed very comfy. Breakfast first class. Highly recommended.
