We stayed here 6 years ago and had a great time. It was clean and the staff was great. Not sure what happened, but very different this time.
When we arrived, the key to our room did not work- it took 4 trips to the desk before they figured out that there was something wrong with the door. The maintenance guy finally came but could not fix it until the next day. It took 1 1/2 hrs to get into our room. The room service that night was not good, as it took 3 trips up to make the order right.
The lift for luggage was out of order the entire time we were there - 6 days. We were not the only seasoned citizens there either. There was no baggage assistance.

The second night, we went to the lounge to have dinner and asked for one of the window seats. We were told those were reserved, but no markings were on the tables. My wife sat down in the second row and I went to move the car. When I came back 10 minutes later, she was furious. The two wait staff and manager were talking at the bar and laughing out loud, rather than taking any interest in her. NO ONE APPROACHED HER AT ALL FOR A DRINK ORDER OR ANYTHING !
This is ridiculous !
On two days/ evenings, we got back to the room after being out all day and there was only one set of towels for the room, even though they knew there were two of us.
The staff at breakfast all had hollow smiles and were not welcoming at all. There were no " Good mornings " or " welcomes " at all. Just- what is your room ... a little more kindness maybe
