It was definitely a memorable stay there in hotel Versailles, I'll make it a point to stay there again during my next visit to Dubai.

Certainly not a hotel for business travellers
While the staff are friendly, the facilities in this hotel are not up to scratch. The 'business centre' was not available when I needed to use the computer, the internet was patchy and wifi passwords were not available on two of the days I requested them. The swimming pool was under renovation, and an email beforehand to make me aware of this fact would have been appreciated.

Dirty, rude but a good location
The hotel is located close to the airport and a short walk from the Metro line in central Dubai. It is reasonably priced given the size of the room and the location. However, the staff were rude throughout my stay and my room was not clean. I found numerous long black hairs throughout the bedroom and bathroom and a cigarette butt in the bathroom.

I stayed in this hotel two nights. Positive ;Excellent location, staff courteous,clean bed and bath room. No bed bug. 24 hour hot water supply Short comings: Room is very compact and crowded with unwanted pieces of furniture. In the night bar, drinks are expensive. Free break fast is very poor. Could improve the quality. Free breakfast is used as an attraction only. Menu can be better.Overall this hotel is OK for staying a day or two

Advantages: the hotel was nice, comfy beds, view is over a parking. in the heart of Dubai. every thing (i mean everything) is on the riggaa street besides the hotel. very polite receptionists and room services. Disadvantages: I stayed for 2 weeks but the water was very hot, there was no boiler, and the breakfast is very normal.

Hotel Versailles is really a place to stay and relax after a day of touring various Dubai attractions. Hotel location is within the city proper with tourist spots reachable by Metro Trains just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Rooms are clean and so hygienic. Towels were being replaced daily so with the beddings (if requested). Bathroom is so nice. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Above everything, "buffet breakfast" is really a ++ factor. No doubt for me to come back to this hotel and recommend this to my friends.

Beatiful Entrance but not so beautiful inside
We were there for 5 days. The location is excellent close to the shops and some good restayrants and also close to metro station. Quite deceptive as the entrance is so beautiful but the room us damp, mouldy, the bed very uncomfortable, especially if you are prone to back ache, the beddings are quite dated and the cover is not fresh. The room cleaning is not up to standard. The charge for internet but you dont get the service in your room as the signal is weak. The food in the restaurant is not good and over priced. The towels are dirty. Breakfast mot good and the charge extra for the last or first day. I am definitely not goung back and wont recommend anyone.

It would be a great hotel if it was clean
The hotel is well located, near the subway station. The staff is attentive and friendly and the room comfortable but the bedding was dirty and I had to ask to change it. The bathroom was not very clean. On the first night a piece of orange peel fell near the trash can and stayed there until I left for 6 nights later. In addition there is a nightclub on the first floor that plays loud music all night.

I picked this hotel because of its good price and convenient location close to a metro, but couldn't sleep at night because the bass vibrations from the hotel's nightclub keep you up till 3am! If you stay here INSIST that they give you a room on the top floors!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in , it has nothing to offer , no WiFi , if u want something like a kettle they want to charge you extra , the breakfast was horrible so I asked them for 2 fried eggs they want to charge you extra , they ring your room all day even when you are trying to sleep trying to sell you a meal or drinks , the rooms are noisy , I will never stay there again , the worst hotel experience I have ever had !!!

Very small rooms for the price
We had booked deluxe but the rooms appeared standard which were offered at another website for $ 75 . It is the hotel itself which offers something else and gives something else. I am sure they have a decent size room away from noise with a king bed which we requested. The breakfast was however good.

Cannot complain about the hotel. Staff was helpful and nice. Furnishings are somewhat dated. Rooms do not have coffee...something I missed. Internet usage charge applies; however, it less expensive than many of the others in Dubai. The Club offered "Asian Dancers". They are okay...not my cup of tea. The music selection was good; however, the level was way to loud. My room was on the second floor and trying to sleep before 3 a.m. proved a challenge.

There were just 2 good things about the Versailles. The cleanliness and the relatively quiet location. The wardrobe is rubbish for womens clothes having 3 hangers and not enough drop to hang anything longer than a shirt. The mini bar was never filled despite informing reception that it was empty. Breakfast was not good at all. The hot food was all processed apart from the mashed potatoes. Apart from melon the fruit was tinned. The Porridge was more like sago and the croissants were all soft. The tea in the machine was already sweetened and it took some explanation to get tea unsweetened. There are 3 TVs in the restaurant all of them on for breakfast!!!! The restaurant in the evening food was appalling. There was plenty of hot water in the morning to shower but if you wanted to shower at other times of the day - and at 30 degrees outside we wanted to - there was no hot water. However if we rang Reception it miraculously became hot after a few minutes. This happened every day. Tedious. On our final night when we had to be up early in the morning the lights blew in the bathroom. The maintenance guy couldn't solve the problem - the electrician was going to take an hour to arrive at 11.45. No choice but to stay up or no light for shaving in the morning. It was sorted by 00.15. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone though most of the staff were keen to help most of the issues we had were beyond their control.

A good value for the money
I enjoyed my stay at the ''Versailles''. Nicely located, this hotel is close to all amenities including the Metro line. It is also not too far from the airport. The staff is friendly and helpful.The hotel is clean and ideal for a short stay - a good value for the money! The only thing I missed was a free internet service as offered by some hotels.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone who looks for accommodation at a reasonable price.

I stayed here in April 2012 for 2 nights.ill be very honest.Taxi drivers dont know the hotel-not surprised so many hotels in the area.Easy solution-print the map of the hotel location beforehand so you can show a driver:) Hotel is located in quit central,walking distance to 2 metro station( it is do easy to use metro in Dubai-highly recommended).first of all,the hotel is old but still in resonably good condition.The hotel is clean also the swimming pool area is well looked after.i had breakfast included -nothing special,very basic.The wifi Internet is possible to buy 1hour 10dirham. staff try to be very helpful sometimes way to pushy.Last thing, a lot of Russian in this hotel. This hotel is ok for the value.juat don't expect too much.

very good security. always someone in the reception greeting you at the door. very quiet at night, close proximity to metro station, safe area, very near shops. rooms dark, smelling of smoke, dirty windows, poorly cleaned bathrooms, poor shower pressure, outdated furnishings, musty smell. more like a 1 star motel. swimming pool clean, on roof top. basic facilities, but nice pool. breakfast disgusting staff attentive and obliging generally. much cheaper to arrange tours through using the entertainer guide, with many 2 for 1 offers. The travel agent did not mention this to me. tvs in room- good, cooler fan (? ac, made room cool), very near to airport, excellent childrens city play area in dubai creek. the hotel was somewhere safe to sleep,not much else. I would give it a 1-2 star. However, if you are travelling on your own, it is a safe place, with attentive staff, who make you feel welcome.

Worth Spending Money
Outside Building may seams old (never go on looks)but Room (709)Appropirate with all basic aminities (,toiletiries,lcd t.v,tea coffee maker worth to stay.Beautiful Reception and undoubtly very friendly and fully cooperative Reception staff ,Duty manager especially Sriman From Orissa,India & Arman From Pakistan. Restaurant with Stomach full of Delecious food I am really happy to spend my 2 nights there really dont have any bad to say or point about the Hotel. Must stay there.

VERSAILLES HOTEL DUBAI - MY EXPERIENCE
Room vacuuming not good in corners near bedside tables. Towels need replacing as they have a 'grey' look when they should be white! Or get a new washing machine and change the soap powder! No tea-making facility in room. When a jug was requested, it was not available. No insect spray available to spay for a buzzing mosquito so I had to go out and buy a can. I thought internet was available free but it was at additional cost which was way too high. Around the corner at internet cafe, cost was less than half. Reception staff were unfriendly and not terribly helpful, whereas other staff were very nice. Buffet breakfast was excellent! Overall it is a good hotel that just needs attention to some aspects.
