We truly enjoyed our stay at the Regent! Its proximity to the beach and La Mer (retail and dining complex with a Euro Mediterranean feel) made this an awesome experience - it puts you in to vacation mode stat! The property is a tad bit dated but still clean, the towels are old, it no longer looks out on to the sea because of La Mer and the adjacent Indian restaurant, but makes no difference in the end. The service was alright, be ready to show your marriage certificate or passports from the same country if you’re dating/ married, but the valets are much nicer than the concierges. The rooms are spacious and even have balconies, which is rare for Dubai. During our stay, there was some noise thanks to the construction, but it wasn’t too bad. Would definitely visit again! It’s the only affordable yet good hotel right on the beach.

Clean and nice - great location
Nice staff, clean hotel, GREAT location, but some things made the trip less than perfect. The electrical obviously needed some work as certain switches had to be on in order for other switches to work and it normally took a while to figure out how to get it to work. There was no curtain on our shower and when we asked for one it still never came. Made for a wet bathroom floor, but wasn't the worst thing. Wish we were given free water each day instead of just the first day. Betters were the hardest i've been on in a hotel, but I prefer that so it was not an issue for me.

It is a motel Style and is not worthed for the money they charge $95 + I do not recommend this hotel to a friend or family member and will not make reservation at the same hotel if I decide to visit Dubai in the future

Location nice however not ideal to stay
Hotel location is good however staff people are not nice, they don't clean your room properly, steals your items from the room ( so if your stay make sure you put everything always then tell me then clean your room) as I got my wife Dior makeup bag stolen, her perfume and my baby shoes. If you looking to stay at this hotel make sure you be aware!.

Not recommended at all!
Overall bad as a hotel, although the two reception guys Bobby and Mohammed were extremely helpful and understood me my complaint was very poorly taken over by the two ladies in management. The photos show a view out the patio of a palm tree and a beach....this is now a building....a building that's been there for two years. We went due to the location truly dissatisfaction

Old time charm and good food, kind of a throwback to personal smal hotels. People were great and both restaurants were good. Beach is closed for construction but a short 10 minute walk to the open area. Overall a good hotel good people and great food. Sometime old school is nice!

GOOD EXPERIANCES 1.Nice location but unfortunately the beach is closed by the Govt for resort construction so no access at all 2.Breakfast has been awesome. Loved it absolutely. 3.Room was clean and did regular cleaning on request BAD EXPERIANCES 1.The first night I was given a room near the bar where belly dance was going on. I checked in at 23:00 and the loud music was going on until 03:00 and din catch sleep at all until it all finished. But on request the next day I was given a quiet room. The guy on the desk that day was very helpful 2.Looked like resort is being refurbished. Even though bathroom and toilet was clean it was not in perfect shape. water was there on the floor after a bath (water leaking from the sides of the tub) 3.One of the staff at the desk from the 2nd day onwards never smiled at me and had that typical arrogance to the customers. ( I could feel that as I belong to his place by birth..lol) I think he needs to be re trained to stay at the desk and be more professional. 4.No metro near by but be prepared to travel by taxi. Plenty of bus services near by.so can still keep your trip around cheap. 5.The staff with the attitude declined to take the tourism tax payment in £s as I was using an english card. I thought it was strange. Paying AED with an English card would coast me etc. so had to pay with the cash. 6.The staff told me one bottle of water is free every day but the room boys did not offer me free bottles from 2nd day on. that was silly

Booked balcony with seaview: view was mile long 24hr work in progress, building construction - could see bit of the sea through the cranes. Loud disco/club until 3am every nite ie don't plan on any sleep until post-3am. Moved to another side of the hotel, one night's sleep, 3rd night disco from 7pm until 3am (evidently 2 clubs!). Desk staff - not very helpful; no knowledge or willing to help with getting around/tourism tips. The ancillary/room staff were really helpful and polite.

Good hotel
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The first night I was put in an extremely noisy room, noise coming from both the bar and an extremely loud heating unit in the bathroom. Obviously I was extremely concerned about it, I went to reception and requested to be moved. The following day, they showed me around all their spare rooms and let me chose which new room I went into. After this, I was in a very quiet room and had a very comfortable stay. My point being, although all rooms may not be the most quiet, they will happily do everything they can to resolve any issues you have. I would definitely stay here again!!

Couldn't stay at the hotel with my girlfriend because they have policy non married couples can't stay. I was asked to present marriage certificate. Or leave..I been living in the uae for the past 6 years no hotel ever asked me for such thing..I looked into hotel websit nothing about marriage certificate for couples...it was horrible.

I cannot understand why this has a low rating it has all you need for a quiet get away, lovely staff, very clean, Breakfast, pool....what more do you need!! Close to a supermarket,coffee shop TGI Fridays, when they have finished the beach building it will be lovely.

The beach is close everywhere near the hotel. They close the small fitness center at 7pm instead of 10pm. They had my reservation for the day after I arrived and it took too long to figure it out, blaming me.

A group of friends decided to take a weekend trip to Dubai. Hotel seemed pretty ok online. Free breakfast was nothing special. We checked out on time but weren't leaving the city until later that night and the hotel held our luggage. The beach near the hotel was closed due to government construction projects, but a shuttle was provided to the nearest beach. There was no shuttle to a shopping center as advertised and there is a fee for the airport shuttle.

I wouldn't even call this a hotel
We booked this hotel for 5 nights in Sep. First off, we booked a balcony room that was 400 sq/ft. When we arrived to our room, there was no balcony and I estimate the room to less than 250 sq/ft. The manager told me they only have 4 of those rooms and they have to save them for other guests. I got the impression he was telling me we were not good enough to stay in those rooms... Not that they were overbooked. They would not change our room or provide a discount for staying in the lesser room. We decided to stay the night and deal with it in the morning because it was late. Hotels.com was very generous and offered us a partial refund if we stayed and a full refund (minus the night we stayed) if we decided to book another hotel. We chose to stay because we liked the area and had a hard time finding something else in our budget. However, after the 3rd night we had enough and moved to another part of Dubai. Here's just a few issues we had: The towels and linens looked like they should have been replaced two years ago (BTW, we had to ask every day for a second towel in the room), didn't like the idea of eating my breakfast in their unkempt night club, took over an hour for them to deliver a bucket of ice (only after a couple phone calls and physically going to the front desk), and the room next to ours was used as the dancers dressing room... We could hear people going in and out all night.

The hotel was a bit hard to find because the address "1 Beach St" was misleading (no such street). Also the Google Maps Point was not at the correct place (around 39b St), 4th St @ 35a St would be more accurate. We were courteously checked-in at 12:00h already. We received a voucher for the free breakfast. The free bottle of water (1.5l) was very nice and so was the free WiFi. The room was small but tidy, so was the bathroom. Unfortunately there was tremendous noise coming from the restaurant "Ali Baba" which is adjacent to the hotel (at the rear part of the hotel with direction to the beach), and can be reached through a connecting door. Once the door opened the noise became even louder, and that until 3 am!! We couldn't sleep at all. The name "Resort" in the hotel's name is totally misleading (it is a small area with a brick wall around), so is the word "Beach". The beach - the only (!!!) reason why we booked this hotel - was fenced off because of construction, which will continue for quite a while. Shuttle buses would bring and get you to another beach, but only 4 times a day. The air condition is very old-fashioned with only two switches (Heat/Cool and On/Off) and a sliding thermostat on top. The air from the unit was full of cigarette smoke flavor though the rooms we marked non-smoking. Opening the window was no option because of the noise. All in all the $241 rate was a total waste, because we neither got to the beach, nor did we sleep at all because of noise.

My room at the hotel had a very bad view, was basically wall view as the only windows in the room was on the corridor!!!! I was very disappointed and don't really know who would design hotel rooms this way

The beach was closed during my 5 night stay, but I imagine if it were open that this would be a low key beach option compared to the glitzy resort options nearby. It offered the basics, location offers easy walk to shops and taxis can be found off the street to go to locations such as the Dubai Mall (25 Dirham cab ride). At checkin I had a difficult time as there was a problem with the room, but this was mainly due to one staff member, the rest of the staff were fine. My room was above the Indian restaurant on site and was a bit too noisy for my preference. This is a basic hotel, if you don't need much and are looking for cleanliness, safety, location, and beach - then this is a good choice but it is a basic room with basic facilities. It is clean, room was a good size, AC worked, but it's not fancy or high end in regard to furnishings and the like. The pool is as pictured, nestled away in the center of the building, fully enclosed outdoors. If you aren't looking for high star treatment or amenities and just a beach stay, this is a good choice for the money, especially if the beach were open, this would have been perfect for my needs.

Great Stay - can recommend
We really enjoyed the stay. It was perfect for us in our circumstances. Loved the area that had the beach feel even though the fence was up for upgrading the beach. Staff were really helpful and Hotel was a good standard. Really good WIFI reception and breakfast was included and quite nice.

REgent Beach not worth the problems
One of the Staff, Heshem, was particularly troublesome. For example, the breakfast was listed as included in the price, but this one staff member insisted on charging for it even though it was advertised differently.

Firstly, the location map on the booking confirmation email was wrong and it took two hours to find the place despite four phonecalls to the hotel asking for assistance. Unfortunately the reception staff variously could not speak English or did not know any landmarks further than 30 metres from the hotel.We were then made to wait 45 mins to check-in despite there being 5 members of staff behind the reception desk. No pleases/thankyous/apologies. We were put in a very smelly smoking room despite booking and paying for non smoking. The breakfast was bad. The tables were not cleaned from previous diners, despite new cutlery being put out. OVERALL, a bad experience, and I shall not be staying at any other RAMEE properties again.
