One of the best
Our stay was truly amazing. We travel quite a lot and this hotel ranks at the top. The owners (John and Jayne) were so welcoming and friendly. Their attention to detail and their personal touch is second to none. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we're so looking forward to our next trip to Torquay and our next stay at the Haytor hotel.

Oh wow! What an experience!!! We were welcomed with open arms and the stay was amazing. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in and the owners were there for every need. They even remembered our names as they served us an amazing breakfast. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms very clean and spacious, with great parking on site. This Georgian hotel is unique and a definite stay if you wanted to escape the hustle and bustle from town centre.

Hotel was in a good location for the harbour area of Torquay and walkable in 5 mins. Good local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Ample parking and near publiuc transport for local attractions. The hotel itself and staff were excellent. Would recommend.

Great stay. Lovely people running the hotel - very welcoming on arrival with drinks & cake being offered. Nothing too much trouble. Hotel was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean as was our room. Delicious breakfast too. Could not recommend highly enough!

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The owners & staff were very welcoming & looked after us impeccably. The room was clean, modern & spacious. The breakfast each morning was fantastic & we also enjoyed their cocktails at an evening. The location was perfect with only a 5 minute stroll down to the shops & harbour front. There was also ample on-site free parking. The stay was perfect & nothing to fault.

A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. The Haytor is centrally located, with access to the Harbour and surrounding areas just a few minutes away. The welcome is very warm and friendly and everything about the place is chilled, relaxed and very comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here.

First Class hotel with extremely high standards
Cleanliness and attention to detail in the hotel are second to none. The rooms are well appointed, good sizes and extremely well kept. Really good breakfasts with top quality produce used. The owners are very friendly, take the time to greet you on arrival, and cant do enough to ensure your stay will be enjoyable. Location is ideal with only a short walk to the harbour and ample free parking on site. Definitely will return to this hotel.

Lovely stay at this excellent hotel run by a friendly couple- John and Jane. Accommodation and room were beautifully decorated and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Very good range of vegetarian and vegan options at breakfast. Convenient location close to the centre of Torquay. We would highly recommend! :-)
