Comfortable and clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast area relativity small and busy so crowded at peak times, though the hotel does have signs that advise guests which times are busiest.

Liked the fact the hotel is dog friendly, good food, nice bar area and friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is our room was cold - the window was open when we arrived and then heating didn't work we had to go to reception (who I think knew it didn't work) who gave us a heater to take the chill off the room

Guests shouldn’t have to pay for parking given the hotel is on the outskirts of Exeter.

Excellent stay overall. Staff very efficient and pleasant.Lovely breakfast choice. Only small observation I would make is the cereal bowls too small and a tray would be practicable.

Staff as friendly as usual,this is only 50 minutes away from where ,we live so has become our " bolthole" We thourouhly enjoy ourselves .

Property was surprisingly nice and clean although lounge was very limited. The beds were very uncomfortable for us all. The very negative point was the price of drinks at the bar. £18 for a gin and tonic and a cup of tea .

Dogs barking in night
The double beds were verg small and my son said the sofa bed was uncomfotable. Our main issue was people walking their dogs barking past our room in the night so preventing us from sleeping. The 2nd night was the worst, I was totally shattered and had a 3 hour drive to do so very annoyed.

Don't stay here if you have animal hair allergy
Lift not working so had to take ground floor room, which have had animals in. Husband sneezing and wheezing all night, so since you cannot guarantee lift working will not use this hotel again. Shame as location ideal, but cannot risk another night like that.

All the staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Really enjoyed breakfast. Carpet in the room I was in, had seen better days and could do with replacing or a steam clean. On the whole a good stay and I would return.

Good hotel location, good price. But the rom was opposite the lift so could hear the lift announcement all night, which was very loud. Breakfast was average, not a lot of choice, food was a little undercooked and pastries were dry

Awful parking
Chose this hotel due to proximity of motorway for a business trip. I had a brand new hire car. There was not enough parking and there were vans and trailers taking up multiple parking bays. Also, you had to pay for parking, which I did not expect. The machine charges you £6, but if you need to stay longer it gets quite expensive. There is a cafe/bar so you can get an evening meal.

First stay
We chose this hotel for convenience as flying from Exeter airport the next morning. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, room had all needed amenities and bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was included making this a great value stay. Will definitely stay here again.

Poor service and comfort
We arrived to find we had to pay for parking and kitchen out of service Air con/heating in the room not working. I contacted reception said they would sort it out but when they didn’t contacted them again and had to collect a heater. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were hard and lumpy. Terrible nights sleep! Breakfast was ok but coffee was undrinkable! Would I recommend… absolutely not!

Work colleague’s room was dirty, mine ok but bed not spotless. Breakfast was dreadful. No bacon and claiming ‘supplier issue!’ Haven’t they heard of supermarkets? Baps weren’t great either. Tables not especially clean. We intend to go elsewhere on our next trip

Loved it here!!
Loved it here! Good price, connectivity to the city centre. The free breakfast was delicious! They have snacks if you want something small, and are close to a Subway and Starbucks. And a 10 min walk from a Sainsbury’s. They even give you free toiletries if you forgot your own, such as toothbrush/toothpaste, hygiene products etc. Staff were lovely and kind. Would stay here again!

Disgusting barstaff member
Ive stayed here multiple times before and although a basic hotel this time had a rather unpleasant experience with a bald italian gentleman who was working there. I ordered a pint which was served to me in a glass that wasnt a pint glass. I politely said that it wasnt a pint at which point he scowled at me and passed me a pint glass to pour my supposed pint into. It clearly was quite a way below a pint so i asked for him to top it up and then he did so muttering under his breath and then left muttering something about difficult customers to his colleague. I dont mind the error with the glass but to be treated with such contempt and almost as if i was a criminal was frankly disgusting. I would like a call from management to discuss this as it really left a sour taste in my mouth! The hotel was a bit rundown and other staff were very sweet and polite especially the young lady on reception who was great.
