We stayed in one of the new upper apartments at the back of the property. Very nice, clean and modern space. We had a car to get around and the property offered free parking. Without a car, the location isn’t close to restaurants, supermarkets or the beach. Otherwise excellent though!

Had a wonderful stay at the ritz village! Clean room, great location and super friendly staff! Walking distance to shops and food, yet far enough away to avoid hustle and bustle. On site beach pool was great! Franklin is the best host to enjoy your evening lounging by the pool. Note: We did not have hot water in the shower, not a big deal but unexpected.

Great location if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in a safe location. You have three options depending on your budget. The Hostel, The Hotel and the Residence. The whole "village" is gated with 24hrs security. The area looks unsafe but the houses around are just abondonned. Many banks and government building around and camera all along the streets. So looks can be deceiving lol. The "village" has two large pools, one in a beach type area and another close to the hotel. 3 bubble jacuzzis. And one bar. The bar is open all day and happy hour for an hour (5-6 pm). The hotel room was cozy and clean. The bed is a little squeaky and the bed sheet can be too thin if you sleep with the AC on. We didn't use the TV much during our stay but works well. The kitchen is very well equipped with cookingware, knives, plates, mugs and drinking glass and utensils. The bathroom is nice and clean as well. The shower water can be cold. Here are a few suggestions that I would love for the hotel to have: - Have someone help you with your bags when you check in and out as the hotel has no elevator. The Residence has some. - The breakfast process was very confusing. You have to pay for your breakfast the day before at the front desk and the breakfast is serve at the bar the next morning from 8-10 am. The breakfast is was my least favorite part of the hotel. A few cereal options, eggs and bacon that barely filled up your plates. Some guests would walk in thinking breakfast was spread.

Service was excellent at this hotel. Manager and all front staff were super helpful. The breakfast was very basic..same thing every single morning. Expedia advertises this hotel " on a white sand beach" it is not...The pool area at the back is a small man made beach. Nice location to town

Great property. Staff was amazing, place was clean and smelled good all the time. The pools were wonderful. Thr only thing I would improve is having a cutting board amd scissors in the kitchen. That's it.

Very clean efficiant junior suite was comfortable for our two week stay. Ten minute walk to town center and shopping. Both pool areas are very relaxing. Hostal is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time.Taxi service is very reliable if you dont rent a car.

Nice but outdated hotel in an area and with empty buildings. Glad I didn't do the breakfast or diner @ hotel. Walking distance from restaurants and stores. We used both pools that was nice, cool dip after hot day walking. I did not feel unsafe walking to punda or otrabanda at anytime. Its just sad that the beautiful buildings around the hotel are mostly empty. Cuz it's a great location. The room was clean, the bed was nice. The furniture needs an update. But I had a nice stay for a weekend to see family.

I liked the potential of the property. The staff were not exceptionally friendly. They place lacked basic amenities like soap on our first night. The extra blanket request could only fit a child. Two roaches in the room in 2 days. Sheet on bed torn and old. Cobweb in the room for entire stay. "Buffet" breakfast advertised is false advertising. Monotonous menu items and items ran out without any replacement on one day.

The Ritz was nice, but it could of been a better experience. There weren't alot of people staying at the property when i visited. The restaurant wasn't open to buy lunch or dinner, and the pool side bar nearest to my room never opened. I still was able to enjoy myself, and the staff at the Ritz are very friendly.

I love this place!! It was so beautiful, unique, comfortable and safe! I would stay here every time I’m in Curacao. The front desk staff are the most kindest people ever!! The place doesn’t have a beach unfortunately but the pool is very beautiful and clean. And they have delicious pizza at the bar. I wish that things closed a little later. But other than that- we had an amazing time- my bf and I loved our room. The only thing I disliked was the concrete floor. Need some carpets, but it’s a green friendly place

I didn't like the fact that they make you believe there is a beach but there is no beach. There is a pool with beach sand that's it. the toilet in the room was almost falling off the wall. the area around this property looks like its been in a war several homes are abandoned. The pool was clean and the restaurant was ok. The receptionist was very nice and the room was clean.

Cool looking gated village with some caveats
The Ritz Village is a unique, very cool looking arrangement with a few hangups to be considered. First Location: Ritz is about a 10 min walk from the brightly colored buildings in all Curacao marketing materials. So somewhat convenient to that. If you interested in Beaches it's definitely not convenient Amenities / layout: On site restaurant is nice and similarly priced to the overly high food prices on the island. Pool layout is very nice too. Unfortunately certain rooms - like the lofts are built backed up around this area where they start playing music very early in the morning. If it was not for this the rooms would be quite quiet. Usually the air conditioner would mask this noise and the sound was loudest on the top loft where the bed is located. Steps for the loft are rather steep, small, and oddly slick instead of carpeted. Make sure to get a Dutch / German recessed electrical adapter. I could not find anything compatible in any of the stores on the island (which are often closed or close early) and the hotel did not have any either. Due to the recess many travel adapters will not work with these outlets despite having the correct prongs. No in room phones, and no 24 hr desk staff. Property promotes energy saving through "ambient" water which means often cold showers. Though sometimes if I let it run long enough it would become warm. Ritz is for someone that plans to drive everywhere and / or has minimal interest in the beaches.

Room size was reasonable and clean. Restaurant service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious and chef was willing to provide a meal although restaurant was closed.
