The hotel management recently changed and some nice updates were made. The staff is kind and helpful, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is satisfying. If you’re traveling on a budget, this hotel delivers!

Bedding was clean but the floors hadn't been swept in a while. Because there was no carpeting in the rooms you could hear every step taken in the room above and the rolling luggage was super loud. Breakfast was adequate.

For the most part the room was clean - except for the floors. The floors looked like they had not been swept or mopped in a while. There was dirt and things stuck to the floor. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. At checkout I was asked if I had any comments. I mentioned the floors. The cleaning lady was right there and said "Oh, I planned on getting to that today." Shouldn't floors be swept and mopped every time a room is cleaned for the next guest??? This is also not a very quiet place. It is right next to I-80 which is convenient but you can here the traffic on 80. At one point I checked the window to see if it was open. Also there was someone in the room above me and it sounded like an elephant stomping around. Also, while staying here someone tried to come in my room. Thankfully I had taken steps to secure the door. I am not sure who it was. When I looked through the peep hole no one was there. The breakfast was a decent breakfast with pastries, bagels, yogurt, waffles, etc. On a whole the hotel was fine. I just needed a place to stay for the night and this place met that need.

I liked the exhaust fan in the bathroom - it worked properly - too often they don't or are non-existant. The heating system in the room was great too - maintaining the room at the temperature we set all night, without wild variations (another common problem in Hotels). My only criticism was that it took almost 10 minutes for someone to show up at front desk. After driving 9 hours it is discouraging to have to wait so much. It appears that the hotel is quite understaffed so I am sympathetic to the guy who was trying to solve some other issue in the hotel by himself.

Room was tiny but clean. This was what made stay ok.. Hallways and public areas look dilapidated. Disliked employee smoking outside of front lobby door. Just looked trashy. Breakfast had usual cold items plus sausage gravy over biscuits. For the price I paid, I should have chosen elsewhere.

Stay frequently in Clarion as owner of nearby hunting grounds. Found this place a year ago, thought it was a gem, newly renovated and priced below Microtel. It is unfortunate how poor management and lack of O&M can run a place into the ground within a year. Water damage across ceilings, with water bucket in middle of 2nd fl hallway. Could only imagine what 3rd fl looks like! Bug infestation everywhere, had to request another room initially due to dead bugs across floor. Window sills in stairwells never cleaned, full of spiderwebs. Disgusting place, back to Microtel! I’ll pay $20 more to stay in a well managed hotel.

Property was neat and clean. Ricky -manager was very welcoming. Room was small but very efficient for the most part very clean. Bath tub has water stain ring . Room was prepped for one person. We had to ask for additional bath towels as there were 2 of us. Ricky quickly obliged. Free breakfast was nice, but didn't offered any protien items, only carbs. Suggest microwave Eggs in a cup.
