Excellent in every sense except far from town
Excellent facilities, WiFi, services and room. Very cheap rate for the things one is getting. Only problem is far walk to main road and out of town. Need own transport or be prepared to spend some money on Grab service.

The resort is a bit old. The service is good. The pool is great, though the water is too cold for swimming. The environment is quiet except on the 1st Fri night, the music from outside was extremely loud. My room's air conditioner was noisy, too. Considering the low price, I shall not complain.

Got ripped off on the Breakfast charged !
Not happy with the lack of a safe and restricted view with a few bugs flying into the room that was tatty ! To be charged on my room booked for two people + for a breakfast not included when I paid extra specially for my mums separate room for 2people+ was insulting especially as I made+a point of this site not differentiating between one or more people staying in a room just with or without breakfast included ! Food was adequate unless ordered in room when it was warm by the time it arrived ! Restaurant had no air con or fans with Mosis around ! Pool restricted towels !Its a long way out of town on a gridlocked road !

Great place to stay
I’ve been this place for 3 nights. Everything was good. Good staffs good food and there are so many activities such as a swimming ,tennis, pool table etc.Highly recommended.

Peaceful resort with nice garden
I visited this hotel fortuitously but fell in love this place soon. Although It 's not built newly but became suitable for someone who find the peaceful resort with charming architecture and nice garden. Most of staff are friendly local people who serve you with smile face. Trust me and come here.

the room can not accepted, I booked by request extra bed for adult.But hotel prepare very old things for me. The bath roomalso quite dirty ,hotel prepare old towel for us. Talking about reakfast ,I undertsood for this is low season,they can not prepare buffet stye for guests. But the breakfast set that offer to us are too little.Expectialy we request easy breakfast box for early check-out ( 6.00am) ,You know, they offer us with 4 small pieaces of sandwich for us .that was give us the very very up- set for this hotel. I am sure that , I will neber be there again.And ,tell to all my friends too.

Everything was great, except the wedding party happening the night of the stay. Band until midnight prevented sleep for light sleepers in our group.

Good place to come for swim training!
The pool was amazing (even though the chlorine was very high so needed shower straight after) and the hotel staff was super helpful, nice & friendly. I came for the pool to train, so didn't mind that the hotel is far out but apparently there is a shuttle service to the city in the evening which I didn't make use of. The buffet was almost empty and 11am, so I only went once for it but a la carte ordered food (local dishes) was quite nice. What's definitely missing is Spa & Massage service!

Peaceful location. Good Value for money.
Enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Imperial. However given the somewhat remote location this resort would be unsuitable for those without their own transport, as isolation and tranquility away from the city are the key here. Rooms are comfortable and clean but the bathrooms are definitely dated, none the less fully functional. Breakfast was simple but adequate and as a whole the Imperial represents good value for money and I would happily return.

Outdated but lovely
We stayed here due to lack of anything closed to to town because of the Chinese New Year. This resort is far from town and I'm sure back in its hay day it was a phenomenal place! There is an Olympic size pool, tennis courts and a sauna. No sign of a golf course. The rooms are outdated but functional. They remind me of a plantation estate. The water pressure in the shower was ok atleast the water got really hot! The place is tucked in a side road off the highway and the distance warrants you renting a car or moped to get around. They have wifi which is a plus! The pool area does not offer a lot of seating or rather there is a lack of it. There are a few wooden loungers and a couple plastic ones that look weathered and 3 makeshift patio umbrellas that bear the names of the alcohol companies that probably gave it to them. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Our first trip to chiang Mai
The location of the hotel is really remote and far away from all attractions. However if you are there to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city then this is an ideal choice. Hotel Restaurant and facilities close at 8pm! One needs to have a car or hire a driver like what we did.

The stuff of the hotel are nice and welcoming BUT because the hotel is far away from the center about 20 Min. every time we wanted to go to the center it cost us a lot of money the hotel charge for it 300 BHT for one way. every trip that going to the attraction around Chang Mai are going from the city center and to pick up from this hotel is extra charge. all the money we thought that we save on the hotel we spent on transpiration. another thing don't change money the rate of them is poor compared to other exchange in the city center .

Fantastic in Chiang Mai
The Hotel is in a very quiet part of Chiang Mai, lots of sports activities and some good food. The service is hit and miss sometimes very good but sometimes no staff to serve drinks. The room was very clean and housekeeping first class. The only thing to watch is the drinks prices are very expensive compare to other restaurants in the area. Thai international was very confortable and on time so it was fantastic as usual.

Be sure this is what you want - very quiet and out of the way.
It is very difficult to find this hotel which is outside Mae Rim about 13 Km from Chiang Mai (CM). It is about 1Km down a lane from the main road, where local open buses are very cheap and frequent to both to Mae Rim and CM. The hotel or rather Sports club with dormitories have recently been bought by the Imperial Mae Ping (CM). It is badly run down and will be refurbished soon! We were 1 out of only 4 rooms occupied! The buffet breakfast was not available. We had a la carte service. BUT were the only ones there! It was very depressing. The gym and wonderful Olympic pool were run down and seedy. The staff could not have been nicer nor more keen to please but we decided we couldn't stay. They very kindly offered us a room in the Imperial Mae Ping CM at reasonable but not rock bottom rates and we took it and enjoyed our stay there. To stay at Mae Rim you need a car and need to want to get away from it all. We think after refurb and if full it would be fantastic. The potential is there but not yet!!

The price is right....but far away from Chaing Mai
This hotel is VERY far away from everything. It is a nice hotel, amazing olympic size pool, but it simply is too far away. The hotel is affiliated with another hotel in the center of Chaing Mai and allowed us to move to the other hotel at a reasonable expense. I would still consider staying here if I was in a large group, the hotel does have a shuttle bus that will take you into the city every night at 6pm, if you had a large enough group (maybe eight) I am sure they would work with you for getting dropped off/picked up in the city. Local taxis even had a hard time finding this place.

Beautiful Hotel, far from city
The hotel is on a huge well taken care of property. The hotel is beautiful and has an amazing olympic size pool. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. The only down side to the hotel is that is is very far from the Chiang Mai city. Perfect hotel if you want to stay at the hotel and swim in the pool. They do offer a free shuttle into the city at 10am and 6pm and pick up at 10pm. It was to far away for us, after the first night we swichted hotels.

Das Hotel ist eingebettet in einen tropischen Garten. Es ist sehr ruhig und erholsam. Tennisplaetze, Sauna, Fitness sind kostenfrei zugaenglich. Das Hotel verfuegt ueber einen olympischen Pool mit 10 Bahnen. Das Fruehstuecksbuffet ist sehr umfangreich. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhaeltnis ist unschlagbar.
