"My significant other and I stayed here for a birthday getaway and overall had a good experience. The hotel was nice, our room on the 8th floor was clean and had a great mountain view, and housekeeping did an excellent job. We also enjoyed the pool and the complimentary breakfast. The main issue was the check-in experience. After traveling five hours from out of state, the employee who checked us in came across as rude and unwelcoming. The heavy sighs and remarks made us feel uncomfortable. We also observed a similar interaction with another guest. While the guest may have interrupted, the situation could have been handled in a more professional and courteous manner. On a positive note, another employee later helped answer our questions and was much friendlier and more welcoming. Unfortunately, I did not get anyone's name. The only other downside was the bed, which we found uncomfortable. I woke up with a sore back and expected a more comfortable mattress for a hotel of this quality. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast, pool, housekeeping, and mountain views were all highlights. With a more welcoming check-in experience and better mattress comfort, this would have been an excellent stay."

"We stayed here because it was such a short distance to the Mortgage Matchup Arena! I would NOT stay again! The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in! Mattress was so lumpy it felt disgusting to sleep on and pillows were really worn out and lumpy as well. The walking distance was nice but I will stay at the other hotel right across the street next time! VERY disappointed! For such a nice hotel and rooms need a major update and new mattresses bedding need to be top priority!"

"Charming. Historical. Interesting - like each floor was a museum and a window to Phoenix’s past! This hotel is 98 years old and very boutique. I actually invited family and friends downtown to come see how cool it was. Not just a hotel, an experience! Side note: the staff were super helpful when it came to checking in, and keeping my luggage after hours. PS delicious pop up bar/pizzeria in the lobby. We had a fun time for Phoenix Fan Fusion - super easy walk from the hotel to the convention center, light rail, Dbacks baseball, it was all right there. Cornish Pasty across the street was amazing!"

"Wife and I booked a room for 6/6/26 to go watch the Diamondbacks. We got into town earlier than we expected to so I called the property to inquire about an early check in. I was told that if they had a room ready that it shouldn’t be a problem. I was advised that a room matching my room type was ready but I would have to pay an early check in fee. "Even though I had to wait for my room to be cleaned and available when check in was at three, other than it was a nice place. I love how artistic and creative the room was from the way you can move the main light fixture that’s over the bed. The shower was is huge and the sitting area was cozy. And for being in Phoenix that AC came in clutch especially at night time. All in all I would go back and stay there again!"

"We have stayed in this property before, it’s always great, especially if you’re attending an event downtown. This time their computer system was down nationwide, so we were unable to check in, which caused us to miss one event and almost be late to another. But I must say the staff did the very, very best they could to accommodate us and get us in a room as quickly as possible. Also provided an incentive for our inconvenience. Great customer service and we will definitely stay there again!!"
