Definitely NOT a 5-star resort. Rooms are fine but very standard. Sheets dirty on arrival. Rooms average. Breakfast horrible. Good location in Anacapri pedestrian area but no help from hotel staff with luggage. The receptionist on arrival was lovely but the second was very unfriendly. Should be rated 4 star otherwise you will be disappointed.

A few things that need to be addressed like the taps in the shower which you needed an instruction pamphlet to work out and the finish in the shower door was very amateur, but small niggles. They were very nice and accommodating.

HORRIBLE
If I could give this establishment negative stars, believe me, I would. My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel obligated to share it to prevent others from wasting their hard-earned money and precious vacation time. From the moment I walked in, I was met with the surliest, most unprofessional manager I have ever had the displeasure of encountering in any hotel, anywhere. His demeanor was hostile, unhelpful, and shockingly aggressive. Customer service seems to be a foreign concept at this establishment. However, the true horror awaited in the room. I was aghast to find mold creeping across the walls and ceiling. The musty stench was unbearable, making it impossible to breathe without feeling like one was inhaling toxic fumes. This isn’t just an aesthetic or comfort issue—it's a significant health hazard! When I (rightly) requested a refund due to the uninhabitable condition of the room, the manager's rudeness escalated. Not only did he refuse, but he berated and belittled me, making me feel like the problem when in reality, his establishment is the true issue. I urge all potential guests to steer clear of Villa Blu Capri. Save your money, health, and peace of mind. There are countless other accommodations in the area that value their customers and uphold basic standards of cleanliness and decency.

I fail to understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. A standard room is in the basement of the hotel, as is the gym and the hallway smells like a gym. The steam room looked like it was in need of a good scrub (I certainly would not use it); there is no information on how to use the steam room, or sauna, so I suppose it matters not if you want to use it anyway. Our kettle was broken; asked for a replacement and did not get it. The coffee machine leaked and the table was stained with black watermarks. Told the front desk about the coffee maker leak; they said it was 'too bad'. The shower grout also needs to be replaced. We ate dinner at the hotel one night. Service was excellent and the food was ok but again, for the price, it should have been a spectacular meal. The hotel also lacks any kind of old world Italian/European charm. Very disappointing.

This is a boutique hotel in Anacapri , a fantastic hotel with 20 rooms . The people are so charming and helpful . Such a modern hotel and such a great location . Would stay here again .

This place is SO NICE and beautiful. We loved staying in Anacapri vs. Capri because it's way less crowded in the mornings and the evenings. Most of the day tourists only come to that area in the afternoon, so we spent that time by the hotel pool, which is gorgeous. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They even upgraded our room for free since we were staying 3 nights. Great small shops for everything you need and want, as well as a lot of really nice small restaurants all within walking distance. If you are coming to Capri, you should definitely stay in Anacapri if you want to avoid crowds and this hotel is the perfect place to do it!

This place was a hidden gem. Breakfast was included and was awesome!! The front desk staff were extremely helpful. It was in a great location. LOVED the bathtub!! We were treated to a room upgrade :)

This is a very nice hotel! Prior to our trip I was worried sick about it due to a handful of scathing reviews - SERIOUSLY, something is sketchy about those bad reviews. Our room was the most affordable room so it was on the lower level - the lighting is bright and the hallways and room were spotless. We had zero issues with mustiness or mold, it did not feel like a basement at all. The room was normal size for Italy. It was very quiet and I slept great. We did not order room service, because the restaurant that serves breakfast each morning was lovely and the staff there was very good as well. The buffet breakfast was great! The pool was also very nice. I loved the location - could walk to shops, sidewalk cafes, the taxi stand. By US standards I would rate this a 4star hotel. I wasted so much energy worrying about this hotel because of previous bad reviews - I could not have been happier with our stay! Such a shame that people can hurt a business with unfair/untrue reviews.

Disappointing stay
We were disappointed in that the room we received was not the same look and feel as the room in the pictures that my wife reserved. Our room was below ground, felt as if we were in a dormitory. Because of the layout, our terrace opened up to the walkway at street level. One morning we were greeted by the sounds of bottles falling onto our terrace because the trash cans were above us on the walkway. The staff was very friendly but the hotel was a bit of a disappointment.

The reception staff were very helpful! When we arrived in Capri we were disappointed to find out that our boat tour of the island had been cancelled. The concierge went out of her way to help us find a new tour. She also sent us a fruit plate to enjoy by the pool, which was very kind and made a great impression. The pool was very relaxing and not crowded at all. When we arrived to our room it was obvious that it had been freshly mopped, which we appreciated. Everything was very clean and we loved the Roberto Cavalli bath products that were provided. Breakfast was included in our stay. The buffet had lots of great options and everything was very fresh. We didn’t have enough time to order anything made-to-order but those options also sounded great.

Perfectly adequate
Our family of three stayed 3 nights. It's a clean hotel with friendly staff. I was expecting a 5-star hotel so I was disappointed: it's a solid 4 stars. So it felt pretty expensive for what we got but at the same time it was perfectly fine as a place to sleep. The location was also very walkable to the bus and taxi area, so that is a huge plus. And I should note that the breakfast staff are fun people!

Horrible staff, don’t listen, non-flexible, stubborn staff. Called hotel prior within 36 hours to arrival to arrange private car service as there was a random taxi strike, was told I should schedule a week in advance. How was I supposed to know taxis would strike in Italy entirely. 2)Refused to consider upgrade. Refused late checkout despite ALL of prior issues and me being Expedia gold member 3) totallly mishandled and wrongly booked by ferry from Capri to Naples- booked backwards- such that I had to pay AGAIN for her illiteracy. Can supply papers upon request. 4) no irons in this hotel. AND beware the “classic” room is the basement with moths.

For a five stars hotel, my stay was three stars at best. The good things about the hotel, the lady that checked in was very kind and gave us a tour of the hotel. The porter delivered the luggages to our room which was a nice touch. The check out and breakfast time were later than most places so that another plus. Everything went downhill from there. We booked a deluxe room and our room was in the same floor as the reception area next to staff room. It was very noisy. We can hear people coming and going all hours of the night. At breakfast, option was very limited and the staff was very slow. The guests pretty much needed to ask the staff for everything ex coffee or juice as these things were not displayed. My husband ordered an omelet which took forever to come that we almost wanted to cancel. A guest next to me ordered a pancake that she canceled due to delay. The breakfast staff was not attentive to us and i don’t know they gave the vibes that they didn’t want to serve us. We didn’t come back for breakfast for the remainder of our stay. During checkout we noticed the staff offering guests that were checking Prosecco champagne which were not offer to us. Lastly, we stored our luggages and the porter couldn’t find our luggages after two attempts so my husband had to go with him to locate them. Overall for a five starts hotel. It was very disappointing and next time i wouldn’t be staying here.

This hotel is a complete scam. We got a room that said it had a private roof top. Unfortunately- the room is actually on the first floor and there 20 Different parts of the roof top That are split up by wood. It’s a completely joke

Villa Blu Capri is my new favorite place on earth! It’s situated perfectly in the village of Anacapri. Beautiful views and lovely staff. Breakfast and the pool were great!

Not a bad place but far from main area in Capri and shower was disgustingly dirty. Discussed with staff but the soap scrum build up is apparently difficult to clean is what I was told. For the amount paid per night I would not return.

The boutique property is cute and in a good location. What was weird was the pool area was unkempt and the bar wasn’t open for guests. Not good or drink service at the pool. Not a 5 star property in my opinion.

Beautiful hotel. Nice rooms, beautiful spacious bathrooms. Friendly, helpful, lovely front desk people. Excellent central location in Anacapri. Great spot to have aperitivo out in front and people watch. The pool area could use more flowers/gardening/maintenance/color.

Smelly drains and £30 shirt ironing? Get out.
We stayed in the suite with a terrace and hottub which didn’t have the view as advertised however the hottub was great. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the stay, there was a bad smell of drains in the hotel lobby and inside of the hotel which we, and other guests, complained about during our stay. We also had an issue with the toilet not flushing, hottub not being turned off during the night or maintained by the staff and also being charged for an iron. Paying nearly £1600 for two nights to then be charged £30 for 2 ironed shirts was frankly a pisstake. Great staff, however poorly managed and certainly not a 5 star hotel.

However, we think that some clarifications are required. Regarding the smell, it has never happened before it was due to a problem in the town general drain system. Once you have noticed it, we have apologized to you and we thanked you for letting us know so that we could take action. Accordingly, we have immediately sent Our maintenance in order to check and sort the issue out in your room and he fixed it in your room because no room move has been required or asked. For what concerns the laundry fee, unfortunately in Italy in addition to Our internal Fire Risk Assessment, a new Health& Safety Policy has been issued for the prevention of COVID-19, no room could have been provided of Iron and Iron board this year. On the other hand, the laundry service form is displayed in every room so that the price and conditions can be acknowledged and agreed. However, at the moment of the check out, Our front desk agent has voided the laundry fee from your room account. Hoping to give you welcome back at Our Hotel, we send you Our best regards
