The best experience!!!
Snug cottage is an amazing place. I felt so welcome and the service was beyond perfect. I can’t wait to come back and stay again. It is a tough place to leave.

The Snug Cottage is the quintessential historic Provincetown experience without being in the center of the tourist buzz… understatedly upscale, the staff was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to ’escape’ there again !

We stayed at this B&B for a week and it was a poor experience. The room needs a lot of refurbishment to replace old furniture,TV initially did not work and had to be replaced. Housekeeper is rude and cleaned the room once during the entire week. Several guests also shared their frustrations with me during this trip.

This is one of the most delightful stays that I have ever had in Provincetown or anywhere. The friendliest, kindest staff, a plethora of amenities and spotless cleanliness. Looking forward to a return!

This location in Provincetown was perfect, not directly in town but right amount of walking distance to town. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, with a common space for chilling out, whether inside or out. The staff was chill and didn’t overly fuss, which works for me…they were very accommodating and I will definitely come back for a visit in the future for a great relaxing vacation in a fantastic location.

Our host texted me the morning prior to check-in with clear detailed instructions and greeted us upon arrival. He let us know some important information about local covid rules which are very strict now in provincetown. The property is clean and located just outside of the downtown area walking distance from bars and restaurants. We had an ocean view from our room. Coffee, tea,and wine were included in the price as well as a continental breakfast. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a table for dining out in the garden. We loved this place! Highly recommend!

We’ve been going to Snug Cottage for 5 years. Very friendly staff and comfortable environment inside and outside accommodations. Lovely having breakfast outside on the patio. We will return.

The Snug Cottage was the perfect stay. The property and our room were both beautiful. All of the amazing touches that make for a relaxing and pampered getaway. The properties location is excellent within walking distance of the main Provincetown area. John is a wonderful host. Take time to book a stay here. We will definitely return.

Double Booked and Not Clean
We actually were not able to stay here at all. The owner had double booked the room. While the hotel was very accommodating and tried to find us another room, we ended up needing to find another hotel. Also, the level of cleanliness was not what I would expect given the current reality. When we arrived the housekeeper was sleeping in one of the rooms because it was hot which made me very uncomfortable about the level of cleanliness about the other rooms.

Tim, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating. He upgraded us (and we didn’t ask for it) to a larger room with a fireplace. He provided us with the history of the home and with a little background of how he became the owner. He was knowledgeable about restaurants and activities around town as well. Dokas, the caretaker of the home, was also very nice and professional. This is a great place to stay, we will return!!

Love the historic feeling of the captain's house. Wood-burning stove in the Victoria suite was warm and comfy. Quiet and peaceful. Breakfast could use another hot item - eggs or breakfast meat. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to center of town, but separate from crowds and noise. We always come here!

Upon arrival in P-Town, I stopped at the property two times to find out the check-in time. I also wanted to know if I could park my car prior to check in. There was no one to be found. All doors to the property were open, and you could freely walk in, out and around the property; the inn keeper wasn’t to be found. I also called two times looking for the Inn Keeper - no success. Several hours after my first stop, I did find a cleaning lady who knocked on the door of the inn keeper’s private room looking for him on my behalf, without success. I let her know what room I was to stay in, and she pointed me to the room. I let myself into the room. There was no key provided and the door to the room did not lock. The cleaning lady said to me that she is normally provided a list of those staying at the property, but hadn’t received one for that day, and asked for my name. Thereafter I did receive a text from the inn keeper directing me to find the cleaning lady for assistance, he was out of town, shopping. I spent the night and left early the next morning. Again - no one was to be found. However, I did hear a floor board “creak” in the middle of the night - so there was life in the house! In walking around the property, I found the yard to be unkept & in a bit of disarray. All of that having been said, the bed and linens were comfortable and the towels were bright & white. The soaps & shampoos had a pleasant scent. This property is on the edge of downtown Provincetown.

Where to start. When I first checked in I learned that the water pipes had been frozen. My room had no heating as it wasn't originally a room to begin with and was a space taken from two rooms to create an additional bedroom that was smaller than most dorm rooms. After asking a couple of times they finally gave me a space heater for the room and the water was finally working again. Unfortunately during my stay I couldn't use the shower as the water was way too hot and there was no way to control the temp. I ended up taking a sponge bath using the ice bucket in my room to fill with water. Ironically the shower wasn't draining the water and later the toilet wouldn't fill up with water after flushing it. The bed and breakfast was quite cold and would of been freezing had it not been for the fireplace and space heaters. I'm sure the place was quite beautiful in it's prime but today it could use a lot of renovations and some TLC. The breakfast supplied could also use some home made items as it mostly consisted of muffins purchased from the local Stop & Shop. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Cozy Cottage in P’town Within Waling Distance
Really enjoyed the owner Tim who gave us a nice history of the building, his ownership and other information we needed to enjoy ourselves. He also upgraded our room to a larger one. Perhaps a few more amenities could be in the room and some fixtures attended to. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Nice B&B convenient to downtown.
It was just what we were looking for in Provincetown. We enjoyed all that Provincetown had to offer: the historical significance, the shops, and several wonderful restaurants. The atmosphere of the town was also pleasant.

Pleasant beach-cottage atmosphere
I enjoyed my stay here. It's an old sea-captain house with nice, comfortable furniture. The owner was very warm and friendly. The room was a bit small, but I chose it in advance. I didn't know that it opened into the dining room where breakfast was served. I was a little worried about noise, but this turned out not to be a problem because I seemed to be the only guest. It's in a good location, not far from the action.
