The location is excellent, the cleaning maid was excellent. The room was ok, the TV was small and behind Plexi glass, I know typically I wouldn't care but it was the weekend of the AFC and NFC championship. All the mirrors had these marks on them, basically useless.. The gentleman at the front desk never greeted us as we come and go, and never smiled.

We enjoyed the view. Nothing else. Room and property was dirty. Front desk staff gave no information on the property. Here is the key. Room 10. That is it. Dod not feel welcome. Never saw any hotel staff. Pool furniture broken. Mold in room everywhere including the air conditioner. Door to balcony very hard to open. Lights did not work. Will never recommend.

The location is gorgeous, but the room was not well maintained. In our 14 days stay we had three repairmen come in: air conditioner leaking water into our closet; balcony door not sliding and toilet. The first two were solve, the toilet did not fill up even after a couple hours work. We had to manually fill the tank with a pitcher. I understand is only a two star hotel, but a properly working toilet is a must. Additionally we were asked to wear a bracelet so the night watchman would know we were staying there. On the last morning there was a young man sleeping in the outdoor lounge, no shirt, no shoes, no bracelet. So much for security. The staff was polite but defensive when we brought up our complaints. Again, beautiful location by the Caribbean sea, balconies overlooking the sea, pool area overlooking the sea, but poorly maintained rooms.

The view off of the balcony was positively fantastic! You can hear the waves all night and day! The pool and outdoor areas are very nice and relaxing. There is A/C; however, the bathroom is a wet room, with the shower and vent keeping the bathroom a little damp. The shower view can't be beat, as the glass wall of the shower allows a view through the room directly to the Carribean. It's a true Mexico immersion vacation spot!

Honestly, this place was the best part of my vacation outside of just being alone, traveling with my partner. The staff was extremely friendly and interested whether I struck up conversation in English or Spanish, plenty of good recommendations on their part if you happened to travel without a plan whether it comes to food, shopping, transportation, or adventuring. I’ll add, there’s a cat that lives near and walks around the building that is absolutely precious and deserves the world. Her name is Micha, leave a can of tuna for us. Thank you <3

Room is very basic, location is great, 3 min walk from ferry and very close to all the shops & restaurant. View of the ocean is phenomenal. I'm not a fan of the bathroom, it smells of sewage at times, and gets very humid after a shower, no shower curtain which splashes water everywhere. But for the price it is reasonable.

They really mean ocean front when they say it. Only a walking path seperates the hotel from the sea. Everything on the north part of the island is a 5-10 minute walk, including the beaches. They keep the property spotless, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Amazing location right in the heart of the locals & right on the coast with crashing waves right below your balcony. This is not a luxury property, and the price reflects it, however we have gone back 3 times due to the value and experience of this hotel.

We have stayed at Rocamar several times over the past 20 years. It is still a favorite. Great location, nice staff, clean and still affordable. This year we felt our room (#30) was a bit run down - there are very few (3) electrical outlets which we are used to but the one between the beds did not work. We had to unplug the tv and use that one for charging phones and making coffee. The hall outside the room entry is vary dark - light needs fixing so you can see to get the key in the door and just for general safety reasons. These were not bad problems…just a couple of maintenance items.

The property had a great view - the hammock was a great bonus. The hotel was conveniently located, a few minutes walk from the ferry, and we were able to leave our luggage and use the pool prior to check in. The room was a tad outdated but nothing major and cleanliness could do with improving - especially on towels and linens.

The the view is awesome. I love the hammock on the balcony. The room is very basic, with no extras or room service but clean. The room is cleaned daily. It has a mini fridge. The AC is very cold. Bring warm jammies. It's a quiet hotel but you will hear vehicles passing by through the bathroom window. Keep the door closed. 2nd time staying here. I travel solo and I felt very safe.

Always enjoy our stay at the Rocamar. Room was clean, daily cleaning was excellent and the balcony views were gorgeous. The location is very walkable to centro. The wall are above the desk looked to need improvement, but outside of that all was good.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of everything- short walk from the ferry, to restaurants and amazing food. Two gorgeous beaches, plus a break-taking view of the Caribbean from our room. Highly recommend getting a sea view room- watch the sun rise from your bed! Great pool, especially in the hottest part of the day (shady spots!) Also, there a hotel cat, which alone would merit 5 stars from me.

Alexandria at front desk was very sweet. There was constant car and motorcycle noise with engine sounds, loud radios and horn beeping. The hotel is directly off from a main road so it’s something you hear all day long during the day and night, except when everyone is sleeping.
