The staff is friendly with great customer service and the room was spacious and quiet. It is right in the center of downtown Brussels next to a metro station, trams and buses.

Quiet for location.
Relatively quiet for a central city hotel. Room cleaning excellent. Close to ERC offices for reviewers. Shower was weak but didn’t leak.

The property is very basic, hard to get to from the street there are two signs that read Progress Hotel so we were confused. In our room the carpet was in really bad shape with stains all over.

Convenient and Serves its purpose
Convenient location,within 5 mins from the train station. Room was comfortable and quiet enough too have a good nights rest. The building was a bit tired, but perfect for a business stay. I would stay there again.

Friendly & helpful staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Great location. Good price. Only slightly negative comment is that the furniture in the room was pretty dated. No USB ports anywhere in sight. Also, this property does not offer any basic recycling of plastic bottles. No environmentally friendly which is a shame in this day and age specially in a city like Brussels that claims to be on the forefront of green energy.

Well located near Gare du Nord. Easy access to the tram and metro at Rogier. Hotel staff is welcoming, hotel clean. Neighborhood is a little sketchy especially at night. Amenities were disappointing at that hotel. No high end bath products in the bathroom. Just the bare strict minimum expected in a 2 star hotel. Beds and pillows were barely meeting expectation.

Great location and friendly staff!
The staff was great at making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was excellent for shopping and convenient to transportation. The carpet in the room is dirty and dingy looking.

Very Disappointing Stay
Very disappointed with this hotel, I do not recommend it to anyone. The Progress hotel is very expensive compared to other nearby options and, the description of services does not match the website. The Hotels.com website indicated they had an airport shuttle. At check-in, I was informed that means they will call a taxi for you. False advertising! I was sure I had included breakfast in my booking. At check-in, I was advised it was not included. I purchased the 15 euro (each) breakfast buffet only to be very disappointed in the variety, selection and quality of the food. The eggs were runny and cold with few other options. I chose a hotel with air conditioning as was indicated in this booking. Upon arrival, the room temperature was 79F (26C). We ran the A/C from 4:00PM UNTIL 7:00AM the next morning on high and never got the temperature below 72F (22C). The bed mattress was very poor quality as were the pillows. The TV had been disconnected and didn’t function. The neighborhood is a little seedy. However, the front door and overall hotel security was very good. I typically book 4 star hotels and the Progress hotel did not come close to any 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in in Europe. Once again, very disappointing and I do not recommend this hotel as an option in Brussels.

Nice modern hotel in good location
Stayed one night visiting family in Brussels. Hotel is well located on edge of main shopping area and only 100 m from Rogier metro station. Plenty of restaurants, bars and small supermarkets nearby. Room is a good size with air conditioning, comfortable bed and minibar. Check in staff were friendly and helpful and although I didn’t have breakfast it looked a good spread. I will stay again on future visits as it’s very good value for money.

I stayed for several nights on business. Both check-in and check-out were swift and friendly and the hotel was beautifully clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the Nespresso machine and kettle were much appreciated by me. The room faced onto the street so there was a little early-morning noise as the traffic started to build, but not enough for me to consider it at all disruptive. Wifi worked well. Breakfasts were pretty good: a customary buffet selection of breads, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, some fruit, and so on plus typically hot dishes of scrambled eggs and bacon. I would be happy to stay there again on future trips.

WORST STAY EVER..
This is the worst STAY EVER , Room was ok but the Lady Manager on the day of April 5th was Horrible i will explain i previously booked fro 4 days breakfast included the first day i did not have breakfast the 2nd day i arrived and was told they could not confirm that was included and after few minutes of verification they make filed out a paper with my name room number and the date. I had and emergency and need to go another town in Belgium, so i shorted my stay and decided to checked out early so 3 days instead of 4. As soon i arrived at the front desk on April 5th the lady at the front desk told me " you will not get a refund " and i reply " did i say something about refund" and she then told me you owe one day breakfast , i let her know it was included she told me NO we need to verified AGAIN she made me wait in the lobby for few minutes and came back to me saying " yes it was included" with no apologies i told her i guess i am right she says yes.. still no apologies. I took one bottle water and was charged for it. SO THIS MY POINT. I GAVE THAT HOTEL ONE FREE NIGHT 3 DAYS BREAKFAST THAT I PAID AND DID NOT USE, SHE ARGUE WITH ME WAS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND WAS CHARGED FOR ONE BOTTLE WATER . I THINK MAYBE THAT WAS BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF MY SKIN. RUDE FRONT DESK MANAGER. WORST STAY EVER.. WILL NEVER REFER ANY BODY TO THE PROGRESS HOTEL. STAY AWAY..OH BY THE WAY IN MY RESERVATION IT SAID BATHROBE AND SLEEPERS WAS INCLUDED.. I DID NOT SEE THEM IN MY ROOM
