Horrible, cheats. Do not book this place.
This was a horrible stay at this hotel. I hated every min of my stay at this place. To start with, the rooms do not look anything like the pictures. They're horrible and dirty. The gave me a room on the 1st floor which i was not happy to take because i had lot of heavy luggages to carry and the hotel does not have a lift service to the 1st floor. The receptionist was possibly one of the rudest person i have ever met in my entire life. He declined every single request i made with regards to my stay. The draws in the room were dirty. The shower was broken and no soap in any of the dispensers inside the bathroom. Above all, the hotel does not provide a breakfast service despite being charged for breakfast. The receptionist only told me this after i had made my payment. This was a nightmare stay at this hotel.

Friendly, okay, but not great
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was fine for the price but it was a bit dilapidated. The sheets and bathroom were clean enough but the toilet brush was pretty disgusting. We arrived down to breakfast (there were signs saying that breakfast was served between 7am-10am and it was included in our reservation) to discover that they haven't served breakfast for over a year!

Great for what we needed, but had to cover the window with a blanket as there was a lot of light shining through at night making it difficult to sleep. Apart from that, great stay!

Short business stay
The hotel is convenient to city center, small hotel with nice staff. It was clean but need some maintenance for carpet or peeling paint. Area is safe with many reasonably priced restaurants. Bus service to airport is nearby. Breakfast was good as it was included in price.

Don’t stay here!
My room smelled terrible. I went down to complain and no one was at the front desk. I went to dinner and came back and still no one was at the front desk. They had to know the room smelled so bad because there was bicarbonate soda in the shower and they left the window cracked when it was 2 degrees outside! On top of that, the door could not be secured from inside the room so anyone with a key could get in- as a single woman travelling alone, this did not make me feel secure. And finally, the WiFi was horribly slow and cut out periodically. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled to help others avoid this hotel. One of the worst I have ever stayed in, and I count hostels as well. Avoid!

Hotel Prestige is a budget hotel, so don't expect anything 5 star, but it fitted the purpose of an overnight stay ahead of a meeting in Brussels very well.

Horrible stay for A SINGLE GIRL
It’s very horrible that one of the reception hit on me. When we watched the World Cup, he suddenly offered to help me change the room and tried to stay in my room. He also tried to hug me and hold my hands. I was so uncomfortable that I asked him to leave, but he still stayed there and said that he can send me money, he can write the cheque, he wants to stay for 15 mins. I was so annoyed that I opened the door and asked him out. Then, he threatened me that he would change my room back to the original one. I said I don’t mind, and he finally left. But I was so frightened that night I couldn’t sleep. It made me feel so UNEASY and UNSECURED!! I tried to tell this to the manager, but he was on vacation. It’s a little bit frustrating for me. Even though other reception is friendly and helpful, I found it so scary during my stay. Besides, the hotel smells very bad, especially the washroom. It smells very mouldy. The room is clean and spacious. Also, there is no lift in the hotel. It’s so hard for me to move out with my heavy luggage.

My room has a slight cigarette smell but overall it was a very good stay. I booked for the wrong date and the hotel was willing to change the date for me which was really nice of them. Breakfast was good as well and the staff were very helpful in terms of showing me directions to food and safe keeping my belongings

Avoid room#208 :-/
Well it was a perfectly bad start of holidays with a room (#208) which was smelling like sewer or dead rat in it. Moreover the room was already open when I went to the room. I went down to the reception (there is no lift so I had to climb up and down with luggage) to inform about the room condition and change the room for which they said that they will check the room in 5 minutes. I waited in the lobby for sometime before a person went to my room and came back. I was informed that the room was probably open because of some maintenance work and it was smelling because windows were not open for ventilation. I insisted on changing the room which was refused by hotel saying that there was no room available for that night and it could br changed if another room is available tomorrow. Anyway I went up again into the room with my luggage hoping that probably the room would be okay now and I would try again tomorrow to change the room. I went to room and this time door was closed and windows were open, curtain were half hanging. I still could smell bad odour but with room freshener smell. Later on realised that there was no dustbin in the room, no remote for AC and TV. So I again went down to the reception and got the dustbin in some time. I manually started both the TV and AC. AC had only ON/OFF button so I was stuck with whatever setting it was already on. I was tired and adding to my bad day AC was set at 28° C and that too stopped after some time so I opened the windows.

Oh the smell!
From March 2015. Really disappointed with this stay. The principal problem was the smell of the bathroom - which smelt like sewerage after an attempt to disguise with ammonia. This smell was also present in the lobby and bar area. I couldnt move rooms because of a coachload of elderly Japanese tourists. The bedroom was OK, the beds were hard and there were barely any pillows but I got some sleep and thats what really matters. The breakfast selection was barely nonexistant and not worth any surcharge. Im OK with there being no cooked option on the continent, but to have an Orange Juice dispenser with Orange Juice written on it but with no Orange Juice in it is just really cheap and lazy. Area is pretty good. Botanique itself isnt a tourist area, but a 15 minute walk down the hill takes you to Grand Place and the surrounding touristy bits. Its very close to the metro as well.

Hotel was really nice and in a brill location about 20 min walk to the centre however the neighbourhood was a little rough but only 2 mins walk out of it. The staff were helpful and hotel was nice however room was extremely small and cramped. Safe did not work and was not fixed and hair dryer and tv were broke on arrival. Hotel did the job but rooms could be much better. Staff were good!

We didn't expect much for the price, but our room was a pleasant surprise. We were able to check in an hour early, reception was helpful and efficient. Room and bathroom were both very spacious, with high ceilings. Simple furnishing, but not shabby. Breakfast buffet had a selection of pastries, two kinds of meat and cheese, breads, vegetables, coffee and tea and watermelon. Nice budget hotel!

Good value
This hotel is a great value. About a 5 minute walk to a major subway station, and only 15 minutes to the Grand Place, it's pretty well located. The neighborhood is a little run-down looking, but nothing too bad. The room was huge by European standards, only complaint is the beds are very, very firm (but great if you like a firm bed). Good breakfast options, and big dinning room to eat in. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable - plus they spoke many languages. There is no elevator though, so be prepared to take the stairs to your room. Great for a quick, easy, friendly stay for a few nights.

Would recommend
The hotel was clean, the staff went above and beyond to help me out with directions, places to eat, and to get my earring out of the bathroom drain! The neighborhood was fine. I am a woman who was traveling alone and I felt completely safe around the hotel, though I was not out late at night, so I cannot speak about that.

Get what you pay for
Not a horrible hotel, neighbourhood is pretty average, but not bad either, nice cheap Kebab right across the road, station isn't too far away, fair walk into the main parts of town, but we did it once in about 30 minutes. Service was nice enough, room was clean and comfortable enough, but like i said, you get what you pay for. Breakfast was pointless, skipped it after the first day, but again it is no different to any other hotel breakfast in France/Italy.

The breakfast was okay and the bed was comfortable. I really liked the satellite television with so many international channels. That was the best part of my stay here. I wish there would have been an elevator. The service could have been friendlier.

Very very disappointed, not for a lone traveller!!
I booked this hotel as it was described as being a "few minutes" walk from Grand Place. I deliberately paid more than average so I expected a lot more!! I was expecting to spend quite some time alone as my brother, who I was meeting in Brussels, was working, so as a female alone I wanted to be able to come and go as I pleased in an area where I felt reasonably safe (I have stayed in Brussels before on my own with no problems). I am not fussy about these things and am fluent in French but I did not even feel safe when I arrived by the nearest metro in the afternoon. On my short walk to the hotel there were dead rats on the floor, graffiti everywhere, sirens going off constantly and lots of buildings nearby with smashed windows. The hotel itself is very pleasant, clean and calm. I was not offered help to my room with my things, just given directions, albeit the staff were polite. I asked how to get to the Grand Place and it was suggested I should take a bus as it would be at least a 20 minute walk. Obviously 20mins is not very long, however I felt that the location had been falsely advertised. This was not what I had envisaged and I certainly did not want to walk around this area on my own in the dark. The room itself was more than substandard for the price. The TV didn't work, single beds (my brother and I shared a twin room) were both very hard and uncomfortable, shower hot but needed descaling...very little water came from it?! I was impressed by the cleanliness of the towels and bed linen, also the service when my brother rang to ask for help connecting to wifi. In the morning, we were both woken up, first at 6.30am by staff shouting in the kitchen, then again at 8am onwards by cleaning staff who were vacuuming rooms and slamming doors. We were provided with reasonable choice at breakfast and enjoyed what we had. Overall, this hotel is not at all good value for money and, in my opinion, its location is falsely advertised, including in its own marketing.

Noisy but relatively cheap
The hotel is located in a noisy street, technically quiet from 1:00AM to 5:00AM. It is in a quarter occupied by mainly turkish origin people and they like to shout. On entrance the whole lobby smelled like a toilet. No lift so you have to carry your luggage on relatively steep steps. The single rooms were pretty small, no table in them, otherwise the furniture is average. The bathroom was OK, towels were changed daily. The breakfast was not extraordinary but all right for the prize. Overall classification is 3 out of 5. Most probably will not go back.

Hotel Prestige in Brussels basic but good locale
Hotel Prestige is located outside the city center and a Metro stop by just a few blocks, which greatly reduced the price. The blocks surround the property are very much a Turkish and Muslim neighborhood with lots of local flair. It appears to be a newer property, and is still is in good shape. But my bathroom was starting to show signs of water damage--little water leaks onto the tile and rusting around the shower--already if the property doesn't keep up maintenance. It includes a hearty free breakfast with lots of fruit and vegetables in a nice breakfast room with the room rate.
