"Good location"
Hotel was close to major train and tube stations, bus stop just outside. We had great weather in June and walked everywhere. Museums and attractions easily accessible. Area quiet. Covet Garden area close by with great places to eat. Hotel was clean, staff friendly but for a 4 star hotel, found the room quite small. Overall, our first visit to London was a pleasant one. Beautiful city to visit.

"Excellent small hotel."
What's not to like about this small hotel: reasonable price, excellent breakfast, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, free Wi-Fi. We had room number 2 which, being on the inside, was away from traffic noise. It looked out over the garden in the back. The hotel is not air conditioned, but during our visit in late June, we were very comfortable. Our overall experience was excellent.

"Location, location, location!"
Fantastic location with a very diverse selection of restaurants and pubs in the area. Food choices ranged from low cost to trendy dining and a similarly large variety of different ethnic food choices... Hotel even has a dining club that offers discounts at local restaurants. 5 minute walk from Goodge Street Station (Northern Line), so great location for launching off to other destinations in the city. Room was comfortable and well priced considering the location. Plenty of hot water and water pressure was fantastic, something that can be a little hit and miss in some London hotels. Definitely a recommended hotel!

"Very nice apartment"
This apartment is very clean and modern - with free wi-fi. Approx. 7 minute walk to the Chancery Lane tube station. The downside is the broken lift and you have to check-in at a different location (inconvenient when you have to lug your luggage around the tube - would recommend taking the cab).

Pocket Guide: London Bloomsbury Independent Hotels

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
