The hotel would have been ok for a 2 star but not 4 star. Reception closes at midnight meaning you have to carry out a self serve check in which is what i would have expected from a 2 star or motel, not a 4 star hotel. When arriving from abroad one could have many issues or questions that need to resolved so is not helpful if there is no staff on duty. Room itself was ok, but bathroom was in a very poor state. Really grubby shower. Again not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel or even a 2 star to be honest.

The was hot, ac unit weren't properly working, the breakfast isn't great but the lady that served us was very helpful and nice. The manager were very helpful however, the bldg needs some renevation.

Good flight option
Good option close to Bergamo Airport. Not much to do outside hotel so ideal if you have a car. Bergamo city is just 10 mins drive. As is orio al serio airport.

Did not like the neighborhood
Shutter service too expansive, taxi charged €14 from the Bergamo airport to hotel and hotel charges €20, free breakfast was terrible. Ladies serving at the counters were very nice and helpful.

Not too far from airport
We stayed here because we were flying out next morning and had a rental car. Parking was free, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was decent. Restaurant was pretty good for dinner and the prices were reasonable.

Hotel Donizetti
Very friendly hotel in Lallio, just outside Bergamo. Excellent service, friendly staff, good value for money - but more suited to guests with cars (bus service is not great, especially on Sundays). Hotel restaurant very good.

I would come again.
The hotel itself is lovely, with a nice comfortable room that reflects the price you pay. The staff are wonderful with special thanks to Alan(hope I spelt that correct) they know a lot about the area and what they do not know, they will find for you. Only thing that I felt needed improvement was the standard of the breakfast. Across the road there is a delightful cafe, where the service and reception you receive is just wonderful. The town of Bergamo itself is amazing, especially the upper town, which given time could take a few days to fully appreciate. Travelling elsewhere is fairly difficult, but possible. Just make sure you plan your travel to centrale milano in advance.

Good location, room in need of refurbishment
The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport and the room was clean, however it was in need of refurbishment, with the grout in the bathroom gone in places, and some of the wood skirting needing replacement. The minibar was empty, and despite travelling with a very young child, the room we were given was very noisy until about midnight. Overall, the 4 stars seemed unrealistic.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY NEAR MILAN'S AIRPORT
This was a nice surprise for us - excellent value and an excellent, comfortable, quiet hotel in a very convenient location. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff were terrific.

Off to a shaky start
Only because I booked the wrong date .. But when sorted that out was very pleased we persevered .. a very easant stay .. the bonus was the croassonteria across the road: always fresh & never closed!!

My husband, mother and 1 year old son stayed in a triple room. I thought the triple room was going to be bigger, but we made do with what we were offered. We had a hard time finding the hotel, as the indications we found from the bus station in Bergamo to the hotel said to stop in Lallio, Center. Really, we had to stop at Lallio, bus stop Muro, which was a total of 25 minutes from the bus station. The staff was very friendly, and arranged for us to have our breakfast packed up, as our departure was prior to the continental breakfast at 7:00 a.m. They were courteous, friendly, and were very helpful during our stay.

The hotel is listed as having business services, however, it has no printer available. Hard to conduct business without access to one. Hotel offered no suggestions. Upon arrival I was told breakfast would be included. When I went to retrieve my passport I was told I wouldn't. I should of because at that point I had already been told I would and it was their mistake. Poor hospitality on their part.

A pleasant stay & a very pleasant lady at the reception, but the location is not convenient- niether near the city centre or the old town or the airport. You need to take a cab or bus from any place & on sunday, the bus service from the old town ( a beautiful place) stopped at 8 pm, so at 9 pm, we had to request a restaurant to call for a cab to get back.

Ok hotel
The neighborhood looked like kind of a industrial area. Not much shopping, the nearest shopping mall was about 1 hour bus travel away. Service in the Hotel was very good. The reception was very helpful and polite. The service was very good quality. The room was nice, but the shower booth was dirty from the corners. The bed had blankets, not real covers, but the air conditioning was ok, so we managed. Breakfast was ok. Food was good, but the selection was a bit small. The restaurant in the hotel was quite expensive, but around the corner was 24h bakery, which offered pizza slices to die for. As a conclusion, it might be a great hotel for a business trip or someone traveling with a car, but wasn't quite what I expected.

Good hotel close to Bergamo and Milan
Good hotel for competitive price near motorway from Bergamo to Milan. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It is good option if you have a rented car and early flight from Bergamo airport. It takes about 30 minutes to reach Milan by car.

We stayed at this hotel for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. It is convenient to an on-off ramp for the Toll road artery to Monza as well as a back way through towns. Bergamo nearby is a wonderful old Italian city to visit. We found the hotel reasonably priced all things considered during the race time and after the race gave us a good rate to stay one more night. The hotel is convenient to bus line and they also sell bus tickets. You can take the bus to and from the train station. There is a laundry automat near by so we were able to wash clothes. There is a in house restaraunt with good food and the provided breakfast was excellent. There is a beer and sports pub nearby. I really needed the internet and their computer was not working so I had to go into Bergamo and pay an internet service. They do have in room internet but I did not have a computer with me. This was inconvenient but it got us into Bergamo which is an excellent city to visit.

Had a very short but very welcoming stay
I stayed at Donizetti for one night, but had a good experience and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Bergamo or flying from the Bergamo airport. I arrived very late at night but the was greeted warmly. Most of the staff spoke english and all of the staff was cheeful and helpful. I'm very thankful for the travel advice they gave, it made my day very easy! The room was comfortable and had a nice, spacious bathroom. Breakfast was a great buffet with warm and cold food in a nice, airy dining room.

Enjoyed our stay
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and received excellent service from all staff. Everyone was very helpful and were able to speak to us in English where possible. The location is a little bit out of the way from the centre of Bergamo, but still easy to get to via bus/taxi - takes about 10-15 minutes. February might not be a good time to travel as it is very cold, take lots of warm clothing. There was a lovely pastry/bakery shop around the corner - make an effort to visit - beautiful cakes!! Felt it was a bit pricey for eating out and generally for shopping. Had a great time though!
