Excellent value for money
Perfect location in the Gothic quarter, walking distance from almost everything we wanted to do. Highly efficient courteous multilingual reception staff 24h. Rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast vouchers get you good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants, butter and jam in the cafe/bakery next door to the hotel. Very good value for money - we would definitely stay here again.

Hotel staffs always service in friendly and patient, they are good helper for you when you need to confirm where and how to go where you want. Hotel location is very easy for you to enjoy your life.

acceptable accommodation in a great location
the location was great and the staff were great. the doors on every room are so light and flimsy and constantly were being slammed at every hour. i literally woke up 10x per night. lots of party people coming in and out at all hours too. i had an external private bathroom down the hall which i knew about in advance. however, all the other rooms had private bathrooms, which was weird. The tv was like 15 inches (not 22, as advertised) and the bed wasn't like the picture either. the rooms were clean. i had a view of the elevator and elevator shaft out my window. price was ok, but i paid less for a nicer place in the same area a few days before.

Room ok bit outdated. Staff very nice. Breakfast very poor for price! Location ideal for shopping and sightseeing. Overall worth a stay :)

Great hotel

Very much a hostel
I guess it is ok for it's star rating, but room was very dark and bathroom was down the hall. Could hear everything -- not very sound proof. But it served the purpose of a place to sleep and the price was right.

Fantastic location for exploring a great city
Lovely location city break with the beach for a day out. What's not to love. Hotel is positioned in the heart of everything. Metro is great to get about on.

Decent hotel close to La Rambles
The beds are comfortable, but the room feels congested. The shower pressure was nice but the bathroom in general could be nicer (possibly renovated). The hotel room is very simple. We were only there for less than 24 hours.

Old hotel nicely refurbished. Value for money
Only slight drawback was the audibility of some loud talker in adjoining room conversation.

OK apart from checkout!
The hotel facilities were as expected for the price, clean, minimal and great location. The shower was great, WIFI worked very well, and 1 out of 2 staff were friendly and helpful. The air con, hair dryer and TV didn't work but didn't really bother us. We paid upfront via Expedia however on checkout the member off staff refused to accept our receipt of payment and insisted all payments were took at checkout. This made the OK experience stressful and we left with a negative opinion of the hotel, would not recommend paying in advance.

Excellent location, friendly staffs, good service and facility. It could be 2.5 stars in other countries. We stayed there Easter weekend so that the price was very high. Outside noise in the night time was a only bad remark during our stay.

The location was perfect, just a couple of blocks off of San Marcos Plaza. Travel was easy, staff friendly. So much to do and see close by.

Good option for a short low-cost stay
This is a very low-cost one-star hotel in a very popular and central area of the city. You get what you pay for, but - with that caveat - I can recommend this hotel for your stay. It is clean, in good overall conditions, provides free WiFi and is located conveniently. I'll probably book here again for my next visit of the city.

Great Location, Service and overall accomodations!
Wonderful stay with knowledgeable and friendly service. Very close to Aerobus Bus Stop, convenient for airport transport. Right in the heart of the Gothic District which is the place to stay in Barcelona. Will definitely be back!

The rooms are clean and the staff are very accommodating. The location is a plus as it is close to Las Ramblas and the La Boqueria and other places you want to explore on foot.

Bathroom was so small that your knees hit the wall when you were sitting on the toilet. And trying to get into the shower was a joke because you had to pass the toilet--so if someone was there, you couldn't access the shower at all. And if no one was there, you had to go sideways to get past the toilet.

This hotel is horrible. You could not use the toilet unless you turned 90 degrees so your feet could fit. The shower door could not be be closed as you did not fit in the door. I requested a bed for two and got two twin beds. When you turned on the air it was musty and smelled. The walls are paper thin so you could hear everything. I booked a month of hotel stays and this ruined our vacation. Expedia needs to do something to compensate me for this disaster. You have my email. I can go over other things and talk about how you can make it up

Central Hotel
Clean, basic hotel in a central location, just behind the market on the Ramblas. Facilities are minimal, but has a 24-hour reception, so is secure.

Birthday weekend in Barcelona
We were celebrating our daughters birthday and the hotel was very central for the metro etc. The room was very big and the hotel was as we expected from the description. We would stay here again.

This hotel is all about the price and location. It was a perfectly located budget hotel. Close to the train station, and city center. The only issue I had was the noise, the walls are thin. That wasn't a problem for me as I always take a white noise machine or fan with me. But it was louder then I had expected. Thus the 3 stars on comfort level. If you have a problem with stairs, verify the elevator is working.
