Staff were amazing and very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation itself is fine perfect for putting your head down in but it’s outdated. The bathrooms are tiny and outdated. No seal on the shower door meaning the whole floor is covered in water. There is no air conditioning in the rooms which this would benefit, there are heaters instead of air conditioning.

The staff here were amazing; so helpful and friendly. There is a 24 hour bakery right next door wuth great selections. Also the main city centre is a short 15 minute walk away

Für eine Frau, war es eine gefühlt nicht unbedingt sichere Gegend (wenn man zu Fuß ins Zentrum laufen wollte). Das Frühstücksbuffet war top und abwechslungsreich. Sauberkeit ganz gut.

The front desk staff at Crystal City were helpful, and my room was centrally located at a convenient place for hotel pickups. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety. However, because I stayed there for two weeks, I could have used an armchair, microwave and tissue in the room. Also, towards the end of my stay, a large group of teenagers arrived at the hotel late at night and kept me up. The hotel staff tried to mitigate the circumstances, but the problem persisted for hours.

Average hotel good location
Rooms are rather small, shower extremely small also, one of the sheets had a burn hole in it. Breakfast was alright, few options but not that bad. Located next to meteo station bur can be rather noisey at night. AC in room did not work, it would get rather hot inside the room at night even with the low temperatures outside.

Quality economy hotel
Very central, right at the Miraculicks metro station, with good tavernas and coffee-shops just around the block. Clean, classic rooms with fridge & coffee-maker; from the balconies you might get to see the Arcropolis and a bit of the ocean. Basic breakfast included in the room rate on most booking pages. Recommendable for city explorations and business-trips.

It works like it should!
This hotel has worked every time I've been there. It's located just next to the metro at the square. It's always been a good choice! Would recommend!

I booked my room here 6 months in advance. When I arrived at the hotel to check-in they had given my room away to a walk-in couple who were staying 2 nights. I was only staying one. They transferred us to a different hotel which was of less quality and in a not so nice neighbourhood. We also had to wait a half hour for someone to.drive us there. Very dissapointed. Would not reccomend this hotel at all.

Adequate but would not stay again
Stayed here on our final night of vacation, not much left in Athens to book. Back from the islands, Hotel staff were not outgoing or too friendly. They were not rude, just bland. The hotel has carpet in the rooms and the shower glass was insufficient to stop water getting on the bathroom floor. Area is not as bad as others indicate (Athens is very urban ghetto but safe IMO). I would not stay here again.

Good location for the buses.
Good clean budget hotel. Not in the best part of town but transportation was easy and front desk staff were great and had a taxi waiting for us at the airport after an 11 hour flight to a new country it’s nice to see someone waiting with you name on a sign.

Very nice hotel, really good position near Metro station, nice restaurants in the area. Good service and good English speaking personnel. Good breakfast with pleanty of dishes to choose from. I strongly recommend it for city break holidays and not only.

The only thing that is good about this hotel is the location. Otherwise don't bother with their tiny rooms and tiny elevators and hard to sleep on mattresses

Good hotel In convenient location
We stayed for 2 nights in Crystal city hotel. All went well. The hotel is perfectly located, few meters away from the metro station. The personal is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are fine and clean. Bathroom a bit small but OK Breakfast could be improved, but overall the hotel is a good deal. I definitively recommend this hotel if you plan to have a short stay in hotel and want to be close to downtown.

Middle of the road hotel experience.
The hotel is clean and convenient--just around the corner from the Metro, an ATM, and a fantastic bakery/cafe/coffee shop. Our group had three rooms, one of which smelled odd and one of which had an air conditioning vent behind the soffit in the hall so that the actual sleeping area did not cool well. The staff was passably pleasant but exacting--we were not allowed to rest our feet on the footrests in the lobby or eat food from the bakery next door in the lounge area. They booked an excursion for us and prepared take-out breakfast for us since we left before the buffet opened; Unfortunately one person's container consisted of some lunch meat stained pink and a visibly rotten apple. The normal buffet was decent; Housekeeping was some of the best I've ever experienced.

Very uncomfortable bed, only two singles and no double. Very tiny bath with no shower, have to hold the shower head whilst washing which was impracticle. No entertainment at all, and food choice (more specifically dinner) was very minimal. Breakfast not a lot of choices

Comfortable and close to station
We stayed here for one night before travelling to Thessaloniki by train. The position was perfect for getting to the train station - a 10 minute walk. The room was basic but comfortable and we had a view across the rooftops to the hills. Breakfast room on the first floor was bright and airy and the buffet choices were good. Not particularly close to the tourist areas, but as long as you don't mind a 30 minute walk the location is fine. A good budget hotel!

Two nights in Cristal Hotel-Athens
Only stay in for two nights. First night was a nightmare, we couldn't sleep at all air conditioning blows onli every hot air and was infused with cigarette smoke! When tray to open the window, the noise and the pollution was terrible! In the morning manage to change the room, but it wasn't easy task!

Arrived very early morning after taking overnight ferry from Crete. Reception lady kindly arranged for us to have access to room even though check in time 2pm. Triple room a bit small but adequate as out & about visiting sights all day. Remarkably quiet despite busy street below so slept well. View of famous hill from balcony.

Poor Experience
The room and location were nice. However, the service was poor. To start, I was lied to 3 times. I specifically booked a room with 1 double bed. (#1) During check-in, I asked if the room we were being given was indeed a double bed and was told yes. When we got upstairs, the room had 2 twin beds. (#2) I called down to the front desk and said the room did not have a double bed as we were told and had booked, and she told me they hotel was completely out of double bed rooms. I said that was unacceptable, after which she said that they did in fact have a double bed room available. (#3) She tried to dissuade me from switching rooms by telling me the new double-bed room was the smallest room in the hotel and would not compare to our current room. Upon arriving in the new room to inspect, it was the exact same layout and size as the room we started in, except that the new room's bathroom was larger. So her attempts to dissuade me from switching were lies as well. She later admitted that the rooms were very similar but that they try not to switch after housekeeping has gone home since there's no one left to inspect and touch-up the original room. Overall, I had to fight for what I'd booked and wade through a myriad of lies in order to get what we deserved. The hotel is a nice product, but the people and processes need work.

Convenient - not perfect - location
It's a simple hotel that offers all things needed for a pleasing stay (WiFi with reasonable speed, bathroom, small fridge and A/C). It's conveniently located at the entrance of Metaxourghio metro station and there is a taxi queue at the entrance. Within walking distance from Omonia Square and reasonable walking distance (30 mins) from the old market which leads straight to the Acropolis.

The hotel is good for a short stay. The neighbourhood where it is situated is not the best of the city but you have the hop on hop off bus and the metro round the corner. you have an amazing view of the Acropolis from your room the rooms are rather small and the breakfast is repetitive but good enough I would recommend it for a short stay

Although the first night we arrived, they asked us to stay at a nearby hotel as they overbooked, the stay after that was fine. Breakfast good and near metro. Bed is pretty hard and standard rooms are pretty standard with hand held shower. It was a pretty central place and ok stay in Athens
