Looking at the time room, viewing this hotel looks very nice, seeing and staying I found sizeable of this room very small not much space, very compet. It's fine for single person not for couples. I wouldn't recommend to sizeable I found it's bit expensive.

A good hotel in a nice area. Our room was compact with a tiny bathroom, but it was very clean and comfortable. The Lancaster is located in a quiet area with restaurants, authentic Dutch bars and breakfast options nearby. There is also a convenient tram stop within easy walking distance, making other areas of the city easily accessible.

Room was super clean and well appointed. Window opened with view to a quiet courtyard. Cool restaurant downstairs. Great location. Easy walk to city center.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Room was lovely and spacious. Great access to tram and walkable to a lot of areas and attractions. Most importantly, the staff were wonderful - so warm, friendly and professional. We will definitely stay at The Lancaster Hotel again!

What a fantastic hotel, not too far away from the centre, but enough that it’s nice and quiet. Beautiful grounds and the Artis Museum and zoo opposite was beautiful. Our rooms were lovely and also very clean. I couldn’t recommend enough.

Older building so has nice tall ceilings and is quiet. Local to tram stop so easy to get to other parts of the city. Staff friendly and helpful. On the downside, shower was tiny and beverage consumables were not reliably replaced.

Many good things about this property - the rooms, though small, are very comfortable and well furnished. The location was great - right opposite the zoo, with many great eateries within walking distance.

The hotel was older but updated, the staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. The bar was a nice touch, but could have had fuller drink options.

Only a short stay overnight but extremely comfortable, clean and staff was very nice. Location was great for walking the city. Really nice Italian food restaurant around the corner. Roma i believe was the name.

Worst stay in Europe
Stay was terrible. Booked cozy room...turned out its in basement. 6 am you can hear people walking in park or some random people unloading stuff outside of your window Service was terrible - employees hardly know anything..asked them about nearby parking, hot chocolate etc. No clue! No lift to the basement...we fell down while taking our luggage to the room. There are plenty other options to choose from in the city center. This one is located outside and takes 15-20 min to reach to Central by Tram Note: Bathroom/Toilets are too small...when you sit on commode the sink is right in your face!

Amsterdam is amazing, customer service not so much
There is no parking available with the hotel.. the parking nearby will cost you €6.90 an hour.. or the nearest Qpark for €36 a day.. you will also have to pay City tax on top of your booking when you arrive at the hotel,The room was small but clean, but the shower had no pressure and the toilet was too close to the walls. Staff were passive aggressive. Ideal and great location, but always remain Vigilant.

Lovely Stay!
We had a great stay here. Staff are friendly. The only concern the room was not cleaned you can see mirror was dusty and they can do better but over all was excellent. Breakfast excellent. The place is accessible to everything. I can highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to come back.

Staff were very friendly and slways willing to help. Shower in superior room was the best. Toasting facilities at breakfast would have been nice. Otherwise cant fsilt the hotel or staff. Reaaly enjoyed our stay. Cant wait to visit again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we asked for information they didn't have, they took the time to look it up. It was about a block to the trolley stop. Only about 2 block from the zoo and the Resistance Museum. A lot of restaurants within two blocks in three directions. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean.

A little bit far from city centre you need to walk about 2 km to reach fun areas. The room was dark since it had no pot light or lamp on the roof only one standing lamp. The bed was not true king size it was two twin mattresses put together to act as king size as you can feel the gap in between when sleeping. On the bright side they had super nice staff very cooperative and easy to interact with. Our room coffee machine wasn’t working and they gave us free breakfast for compensation. Overall good hotel but beware they have no ramp at the entrance to get your luggage inside you have to lift your luggage all the way up to main lobby.

Quirky boutique hotel in a great area. Small number of good quality restaurants and bars close by. Easy tram access. Short walk to canals, bridges and the calmer parts of Amsterdam.
