"A very good hotel for a short break."
Check in was a breeze,no problems at all,we asked to see our room prior to payment which was no problem,we were shown to room no. 3 which was very clean with a outdoor balcony with a table and two chairs, the ability to open the doors to allow any cool breeze to circulate as the weather was very warm and humid was excellent. Breakfast was very good, there was a variety of cooked items and of good quality, the staff were friendly and very efficient we would stay here again without hesitation.

"Great Hotel for couples"
We had a great stay at the Walton Cottage Hotel. The room was a great size, particularly considering the great value compared to other hotels in the area. Everything in the room was clean and faultless and the staff were always friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience!

"Great family hotel near legoland"
Ideal location I believe for legoland even though we were not going there this weekend. Great pool for children - they even supplied inflatables for play . We were apprehensive about using the restaurant as thought it may be expensive but need not have worried as reasonably priced. Children eat free which was a buffet style for Children so eat as much as you like so ideal for a hungry 12 year old - good idea. The room was big, clean and comfortable with a fridge so again great for us as we were able to keep milk cold. The only minor negative point was there was no free wifi in communial areas which is usual nowadays. This would not stop us from using the hotel again or recommending it. We enjoyed our stay.

"Disgusting establishment"
Door opened by a woman in ripped jeans and vest who reeked of cigarette smoke. Showed us up to the room which smelt horrible and had insufficient curtains. No TV, despite one being advertised in the blurb on their website. The towels had brown excrement stains on them. We were only there to visit The Hinds Head in Bray, and so didn't really let the room bother us. She then told us we owed them £65 for the room and she wanted cash before we left for dinner. She was trying to con me - I'd already paid £45 on Expedia! She said it was wrongly priced on Expedia and tried to get another £20 off me. That room wasn't worth £5, let alone £65. The floor was noisy and people were in and out (as well as lots of noise from the floor above), until 4am. Absolutely awful, disgusting place. I needed a shower afterwards. Abhorrent. Avoid.

"My exceptional experience at The Thames Hotel"
From the check in which was friendly and warm an offer of help with luggage to room which was clean to a very high standard, all amenities were on hand the en suite which was very well stocked with a bath and shower. Bar food par excellence and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast help your self with a very Customer focused young Lady on hand to help with tea and toast. Breakfast was very well cooked with a very large choice to suit all. Overall absolutely excellent.

"Great hotel!"
We stayed at this hotel for the Easter break and I must say that it has exceeded our expectations! Very easy to find, very close to the main road but the moment we passed by the gates we forgot that we were only 30 miles away from London. Lovely hotel in a quiet and beautiful surrounding, room service and the food fantastic, the breakfast was good and the variety of food was just enough. Staffs were very helpful and pleasant. The only remark is that the room that we stayed was smaller than we expected but that definitely didn't influence our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Lovely boutique hotel, friendly staff, quiet location"
We stayed at Sanctum on the Green for one night, as we were attending a wedding at a nearby venue. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed us to check in early. The room was smartly decorated, with a sofa and a huge, very comfortable bed. Bathroom was a nice size and well fitted out - although the water pressure to the hot tap meant the water rather dribbled into the basin! Breakfast was included and very tasty, with a wide choice of cooked and continental options. Overall, a very pleasant stay, good value and would definitely recommend!

"Lovely setting for a very nice stay"
Great location, beautiful greenspace in front of hotel with several walking trails. At end of Cookham high street so lots of excellent restaurants to choose from. Our room was in new building back from main pub/restaurant so very quiet. Breakfasts were good and service was friendly. We stayed in 11 hotels, pubs and B&Bs on our recent trip to England, The Crown at Cookham was one of our best experiences.
