I seldom leave bad reviews because I know how hard it is to run a small business. For the benefit of the owners and future guests; you must CLEAN and I mean DEEP CLEAN. Not just surfaces but cracks, corners, floor boards, behind doors and everywhere high and low. The room was absolutely filthy. The blanket under the bedspread had cigarette burns and stains so bad I wouldn't use it for my dog. The smell of weed and cigarettes in the room was nauseating. We didn't dare turn on the HVAC because it was equally filthy and I can't imagine the mold and filth that would have spewed forth. Stayed here because it was the last available room for the eclipse. For the owners: you will make more money and have a higher occupancy if you invest in your property. Take every curtain, bed cover, blanket and stitch of fabric; burn them and replace. Literally use a power washer to clean the rooms then paint. Take the HVAC unit apart and CLEAN it then put in new filters. Remove moldy black caulk from bathroom and replace. Your guests will be happy and leave nice reviews attracting more guests, more income, and higher profits. On the plus side the man at reception was very friendly and nice. The sheets and towels, although very thin, appeared and smelled clean...THANK GOD. And the mattress was satisfactory. Fixing this place is more elbow grease than $$$. Work on one room a week and in a year you will have a new property. I wish you the best of success.

I book 3 room and all 3 room was so dirty and the bedsheet was durty the towel was dirty . The whole bathrooms was dirty . And they had someone came in our room when we were there to take out the trash no didnt fix the bed no new sheets . My skin is breaking out

We came to Schenectady to visit family. We wanted a reasonably priced place to stay. All we really cared about was that it was clean and safe. Although out trash was emptied, the beds were left unmade and the floor looked like someone had tracked in dirt from the outside. The parking area was not convenient. There is a large patch of land that would serve well as parking spaces; instead it serves as a large space to walk to the front office for morning coffee, or just to the office. The office is not connected to the motel.The clientele were a mixed bag of ok and downright seedy. We realize that this is a no frills place and that’s ok. But they could do a lot better.

Very dated hotel, been around for a long time. My 1st visit, it was okay. Room was clean, bed comfy, nice hot water but not a lot of pressure. Most hotels l stay at have some kind of breakfast, this had nothing. But overall, I’m happy with my visit .

I did not like anything about it, I want a total refund, the bathroom,the sink, floors, rugs, mirrors,shower head ,all the shower ridiculously dirty,no Kleenex, no nothing, the refrigerator and microwave too,disgustingly dirty, when I called in the morning to get a refund and tell them how it was, the woman on the phone was very rude and not anywhere apologetic at all, I already contacted motel 6 I'm going to contact them directly on Tuesday I want a full refund of my stay , 😔👎

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is very aged with obvious repairs needing to be done. Our room was clean, with the exception of a very dusty vent behind the bathroom door - not a big deal. There was a large grassy area outside to walk our dog, but no trash can to put the poopie bag.

Super disappointing
This place was dirty. There were clumps of actual mud on the floor. I wiped down the doors and the counters and my Clorox wipe was brown. The guy who checked us in was nice. Most of the other guests seemed to be living there. There was no shampoo and conditioner. This was on the low end of adequate.

The non smoking rooms still smelled smoky. The bed sheets smelled smoky. It is definitely no frills but clean enough. One of our rooms air conditioning never got cold.

The bathroom was dirty, bathtub had hair all over and on thr wall. The bed spread had stains in them and the room had a moldy smell. Property needs to fix up their rooms and make guess feel mor comfortable.

For the price, it wasn't bad. The room was ok, the bed was comfortable and there were no major issues. The vinyl flooring and hard chairs make the room a little less comfortable.
