We spent 8 days at Fortune Select Palms - Chennai. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Toilet paper supply was less than an American hotel but the staff responded immediately to requests. Bottled water is supplied regularly and on request. Adequate English TV channels are available.
The restaurant is buffet-style and has a fine mix of Indian (both northern and southern cuisine), Continental, and Oriental selections all of which are clearly labeled. Both vegetarian and non-vegatarian items are identified. Vegetarian items exclude seafood but may include dairy products.
The staff are friendly and extremely helpful while not intrusive. Our luggage was reported lost for 7 days despite repeated calls to the airport, airlines, and travel assistance. When this was mentioned to the staff they sent someone personally to the airport and within 4 hours our luggage arrived without fees.
If we ever return to India, Fortune Select Palms willl definitly be high on our list for lodging.

The hotel is located centrally with good access to transport e.g. Trains, shops, ATMs and tourist destinations.
Our standard hotel room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was substandard but still ok
Because of street noise and train station a few blocks away best to be on the upper floor levels.

This hotel is a treasure to find at a good price. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the clean rooms and the location. The staff was very warm...my birthday happened to fall during our stay and they made the day very special for me with a piece of cake at breakfast!

Stayed at Pride Hotel for 2 nights during my recent business trip. It's a great hotel at a great price. Definitely checkout the roof-top restaurant (Dhaba).
Only 2 things, the hotel management needs to look at -
1. provide wi-fi connection instead of just in-room wired internet connection
2. a better gym. current gym is a cramped one.
