We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. Everyone at the Hotel was very accommodating, friendly and great. I actually left my wallet at the lobby bar one night and the bartender turned it in, the front desk personnel left me a very nice note under my door that night that they had turned it into security and that I could pick it up the next morning.
The location was great to access all areas of New York City and the food in both restaurants was tremendous.

The room was spacious and clean. The room has seen many years but is appealing to me, because I enjoy preservation of the aged. A spacious living room with older, but comfortable furniture. A nice kitchenette, with table and chairs to sit and eat at. Microwave and small refrigerator included. Nice desk and comfy chair to sit and write a letter at or surf the web. Bedroom with two comfortable double beds, with a nice basic dresser, night stand, and three walk-in closets. Bathroom clean and functional. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and professional. Check in at 3 and check out by noon, that was very nice for a laid back, read a good book morning. An awesome 24 hour market across the street. We will come back whenever we are in NY City!
We got to the hotel around 7am, and asked the if we were able to do an early check-in. The hotel people were really nice because we were not only able to do an early check-in, we also got a free upgrade in our hotel room - very nice from them! I love this hotel!
For the people bashing this hotel, you have to understand they are somewhat economical so you shouldn't except something like The Michelangelo Hotel. I really did enjoy my stay at The Manhattan At Times Square. For the very economical price I got my reservation for, I am pleased all in all with the service with the hotel. The hotel is honestly very welcoming and clean. I was very happy with my choice. It was about 5 minutes away from Times Square, walking distance. You could see Times Square either way. Overall, I loved this hotel and I would go back anytime I return to NYC. Till Next Time!
Down in China town/ Little Italy so it's a good distance from the hubbub of Manhatten but in many ways that is what is so appealing, you get to see another side of NY. Some great restaurants nearby and the public transport is convenient.

2 blocks away from Times Square. Staff very friendly and helpful. Chocolates left in room every day and a brownie on the first day. Safe in the room, tv, hairdryer.
New york is very noisy and is the city thay doesnt sleep. We bought some earplugs to block out noise of car horns and general city noise. You would get this with any hotel in midtown though.
