"WONDERFUL RESORT- IF ITS GOA THAN ITS ONLY ESTELLO"
We were a group of 16 booked through Expedia , check in was easy and quick , staff were polite and helpful at all times , Breakfast is very good and on the beach , the exclusive arrangements at the beach were very comfortable for just relaxing ... nothing of concern except the approach road to the resort was very narrow and congested .
All the staff were very helpful and were always cheerful . The resort was huge with excellent rooms and cottages ... the pool could have been a bit bigger , but its OK ... you have an excellent beach to swim ...
If you wish to have a Memorable hassle free stay at Goa than it is at Estello ... I would come back again and again to the same resort as its between the two happening beaches - Calangute and Baga ..
It would have been nice if 1 Hour late check out was given to us as it was a big group of 16 persons... never mind .. We understand the pressure on the front office in this busy Season.. Thank You Estello & the Satff
Location: Half km from the main road but just hundred meters from the beach. One km from the Calangute beach entrance. Although it's not the main beach of Calangute but I felt that part of beach was way better, clean and quiet. A lot of nice shacks near the beach. So whenever we wanted to have fun on the beach we just ran there.
Cottage Rooms: Not over the top clean and swanky rooms but the rooms were clean enough and had basic amenities. The cottages were hot in the noon (but since we were mostly out at that time or you can opt for AC rooms) and cold during night (but if you ask for an extra sheet, it's fine). Twenty Four hrs hot and cold water.
"Friendly staff, excellent location and well appointed services"
Neelam's is a well established hotel in the heart of Calangute and is definitely worth the three-four star rating. I arrived at 8am after 24 hours of flights and they fixed up a room for me straight away (before normal check-in), as I was in dire need of rest. The photos on Expedia are accurate as to the style and condition of the rooms.
The pool and indoor areas of the hotel are in good condition, however, are probably not used as much as they could. There is a small disco on some nights and entertainment/music in the evening. There is a small bar on the first floor that serves basic food, water and beverages till the morning, which was great after coming home from a bar or club to pick up a bottle or two of water.
After some sleep, I tried out the ayurvedic massage to re-enliven my soul and relax into Goa. The massage was a good one with a focus on oil based healing, conducted by a trained specialist from Kerela. The food in the restaurant is varied and there are staples for continental preferences on the a-la-carte menu. Along with a choice of Indian breakfast options included in the package, you also get eggs, juice and tea. I didn't try out dinner but from a small sample of the food at Neelam's menu, it was well prepared. However, as it is a hotel, the rates can be more than found in local restaurants.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is well appointed, however, take your own sweat towel. The location is close to shops, beach and markets.
Hotel was very good. Clean and not far from the beach. Very tasty food in restaurant. Thank you very much for everyone. And see you next year)
I want to say special thank you to the member of reception Rama. He is professional.
Thank you very much Rama
The resort is located just 500 metres from the Calangute beach. There are 45 beautiful rooms and suites and the rooms have …More
While the hotel still doesn't have any restaurants or a liquor licence, which is surprising for a hotel in Goa, it more than makes up by the price and the staff. The room was decent and the sheets and towels clean.
Very nice place, the staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and the food is good. Calangut beach is walking distance, there are many places nearby to eat, taxi stand is jut outside, car/bike rental is walking distance.
