"Hotel is in a lovely area and looks beautiful inside and out. The staff I met were nice, however was disappointed after having a long day to arrive and told they were not serving any food (was around 7pm). Our room was nice and mostly clean (empty bottles were left on the floor when we arrived) and the TV would only work on BBC1 and ITV and we couldn't use the remote as this didnt work either 🙈"

There could be some work done in the interior to make it more appealing but the room was clean, comfortable and, even though we faced the main street, quiet. "The hotel is in an excellent location right in middle of town within walking distance of everything Basingstoke has to offer. Reception and eating areas we're modern and clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. The reception staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the room although clean and well presented was a little dated and could possibly do with being modernised. If this was done it would definitely improve its 3 star rating in my opinion."
