"Hotel right on top of an excellent pub, sports bar"
I appreciated the privacy offered by the hotel in that it does away with the formality of the orthodox reception. You feel as if you are entering your own accommodation building.
The pub and club downstairs means you don't have to take transport to be entertained. Yet the rooms are soundproof, so that when you eventual retire to your room. It seems as if the club and pub are miles away.
Breakfast is stocked in your room and you do not have to wake up before 10am to eat no be disturbed for room cleaning. If you have danced till wee wee hours and want to stay in bed to recover.

Room generally OK, warm, clean linen and twoels.
Shared kitchen nice and tidy, microwave, fridge, all you need to make a continental breakfast
shared bathroom facilities shocking. Dirty toilet, radiator hanging off the wall. The only good point was the temperature was nice and cosy
no wifi coverage on top floor, as the router is on the ground floor.

This building is just as beautiful and striking as it appears in images. In fact, it's possibly more impressive when you realise how idiosyncratically labyrinthine it is. After some confusion upon arrival (I checked in after 10pm and there was already someone else in my bed) I was reassigned to a 4 bed mixed dorm at the very top of the building. It seemed comically impossible to find, but after a few twists and turns, a non literal knight in literally shining armour, a walk-through shower room complete with hidden stairs, I chanced upon it! After a seriously tiring day of travelling under some uncharacteristically sweltering London sun, I was genuinely overjoyed to see the room had an electric fan. This was the single most impresive thing that room could possibly have had. I abandoned my stuff and went down to the bar to catch the end of the world cup final. Extra time and the atmosphere was electric - everyone rooting for Germany and not an empty seat in the place!I I only wish I had gotten to the hostel earlier to enjoy it in good company. The bar staff were laid back and friendly. My friend & I curled up on the sofas to chat long after the bar closed. I would definitely recommend this place. My room being overbooked was unfortunate, but it seemed like no big deal to the largely disinterested staff member I dealt with. I guess that is still preferable to dealing with someone who doesn't know how to handle these occurences. It all worked out well in the end.

We were really impressed. For a budget hotel it had everything you could want and was close to the airport. The cafe was well priced and the food well presented and very fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room very comfortable. We would certainly stay here again.

The hotel was only a few blocks walk from Paddington station and again only a few blocks from two different Tube stations. Kensington Park and the blue bikes were close as well. Staff was very helpful and although room small it was comfortable and quiet, and breakfast ws more than sufficient. My daughter and I would stay again.

Stayed here with my partner and 2 kids for 2 nights. For those wanting a hotel, this isn't it! It's a hostel! That said for those wanting somewhere to dump there luggage and sleep when they're not touring around London then this is it. We paid £260 for a family of four for 2 nights. On a per head basis it works out pretty cheap. Just don't expect too much at that price!
